The Imperium of man needs you! (Tuesday UK time 7-10PM weekly rogue trader)

High guys, I'm a DM looking for more players to indulge in a homebrew rogue trader campaign. With regards to fleet/ship combat I will not be using the rules as written.  This will be a character/narrative based campaign that I expect the players to contribute ideas. Please ask questions in this thread.

1 Confirmed player. 1 Possible. You're part of the crew of the [Redacted] thrown off course by a sudden warp torrent. When you emerge from the warp you find yourself amongst unfamiliar stars. Your cogitators identify this as the P3K sector, outside of the Imperium and sometimes referred to as the "Dark Zone" Your chief navigator believes it would be safer to return to the imperium via 4 warp jumps rather than 1 huge journey. A Rogue trader will see opportunity here as any planets discovered remain unclaimed - at least by the Imperium of Man. This campaign will focus for the first few sessions on the journey back to the border of Imperial space. What's discovered upon their return will be built around the ambitions and backgrounds of the player characters. tl:dr the 1st for sessions will have some railroading while I create a custom sand box based on what my players seek in their adventure.  Please feel free to ask me any questions by pm or in this thread.

Hello there Gwalch, this does sound interesting though i do have a few questions. Im not new to D&D however i cant say i have ever experience ship/fleet combat, would this be a problem as i may need to learn how that works. In regards to the game itself  will it be heavy RP, or heavy combat or such , i know you wrote it would be char/narrative based but not to sure on if you mean heavy rp or not. Not new to homebrew, but would there be any significant changes to char sheets or stats? and what about the races/classes?
Hello Calaun, This is going to be a rogue trader game using Flight Fantasy's rule set. It is quite different from D&D in that it uses percentile rolls (D100's rather than D20's). It's also set in the warhammer 40,000 universe. The roll20 rogue trader character sheets are vastly different from Dungeons and Dragons ones, but they are good. Although it is possible to have Xenos (non-humans) aboard a rogue traders ship, it can be quite limiting and I would insist the groups starting characters all pass for human in the eyes of the Imperium. When it comes to fleet/space combat I will be using a simplified version of the rogue trader system. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
