Into the Void

So im going to start a game in regards to a space based them set within this galaxy but implanting pre existing figures from the three galaxies at least as a basic template. Ie pre made ship designs, polotical rivalries etc. I need help with including additional alien species ranging from sdc to mdc. If youve got a creative spark towards designing tech ships and species id love to hear and read your ideas. Even cross conversions from notable game franchises such as star craft star wars etc are welcome additions. Ill set base guidelines toward ship classes and appreciable mdc hit points as a minimum mold. Ie fighters have 10mdc frigates 100mdc destroyers 1000 and so on. Im very inclined towards co creation in that their are no extreme limitations. A race of transdimensional Gods that are super teched out is just as fine as some up and comers so long as the material has a counter balance race. Or pivotal weakness. Ie think death star thermal exhaust vent.  The actual gameplay will be aboard a smuggler book ie han soloish character classes can be anything anything sdc or mdc. Though if one picks for instance a dragon aboard a human sized smuggler ship theyll have to keep hidden their true form until a moment they deem warrants their disclosure. Dont wanna freak out the mortals. The crew composition itself should lean towards filling assigned niches captain co captain gunner coms navigation marines Rp and pp pilots mechanics etc. Like filling out a crew compliment it cant be comprised of all god level beings. Id like for instance to pit a mixed crew compliment of tech/magic based characters with maybe 1 or 2 potentially op characters against equally mixed forces. So if for instance the party boards a magic slaver ship the sdc crew will have sdc crew to fight in conventional tech/magic tactics whilst the dragon might have a demon to tangle with. Super powered vs super powered. This will be my first time gming just in general so all the help, advice and input would be appreciated. Alot of time will be fleshed out into creating the livable galaxy dynamics and depending on player input might even comprise a stand alone world book of ideas. character alignments can be any shade however positive alignments to anarchistic would be preferred. Their could be evil alignments however youd have to keep your true nature hidden and could open up further sub plots of betrayal, espionage, and subterfuge not specifically gm originated in plot line. Im highly flexible and am very open to discussion. This is going to be a work in progress obviously and further balancing will happen. Ill hammer out some solid guidelines towards damage/hitpoint ratios in the near future or Id love to hear your thoughts and ideas towards expexiating the process. Im working from a smartphone only so forgive me ahead of time for any potential delays. My schedule is fairly open all the time so I can run different cross compatible campaigns for people who can only game on certain days. Possibly pitting player groups vs player groups on certain days or perhaps if a player from one group gets captured by a group from another ship they could rp their escape (ie if someone can't play one day but on another day comprised by another group) Im eager to hear players, group ideas, group starships or player owned star ports etc etc. Again this is rather grandiose so id appreciate the help.
Easy stuff for star wars is getting a copy of the d6 star wars. each die of hull being a 100mdc, 300mdc, or 1000mdc considering class and exceptions like the millennium falcon where han put larger class shield in it so instead of 100 to 300 per side its 1000-3000 per side its pretty easy. the sad part is you actually have to give startrek light speed capable ships as galactically speaking they are the slowest around for l.s. or near l.s. it takes them 70+ years to get to a place where in babylon 5 they take the long way around and get there in 2 weeks. (and thus why the federation/startrek in general loses to star wars or babylon 5 both star wars and babylon 5 ships are tough enough to handle those speeds as well as b5 actually . can maneuver and fight at those speeds.
As for maneuverability the 1 die or such equates to a plus 1 to dodge
This sounds really cool, not exactly sure how much help I could be in this endeavor though as I have only played using the Robotech books, of which I own all but the New Generations source book, and Heroes Unlimited as far as Palladium/Rifts is concerned. I have also played a lot of the Saga Edition of Star Wars and D&D 3.5 and 5e.

Good luck buddy, running a space game was extremely difficult for me. If you do, have pre-set or per-generated worlds and just avoid letting your players sandbox away from these set of worlds. Anyway, creating a system for the ships is pretty easy: Just give smaller classes of ships better speed bonus, this will allow them to dodge shots from larger ships. That being said, when they do get hit it will hurt more because bigger ships get bigger/more guns. The larger the ship, the further it can travel via some sort of FTL method but slower in space. At a point, a class+ of ships can no longer enter the atmosphere of a planet. That all being said, if you plan on having deep and complex systems for space travel make sure to inform your players. . . Otherwise you will find them using ships simply as a mcguffin to get from one planet to another as they won't have the stats to actually do anything once in space.
How much progress have you made into making the game? And would it be possible to join?
Still waiting for a response

i have over 28 yrs of experience with the Palladium system, and have written many optional rules for many of the games i was involved in, I am also a game designer, so i might be able to give you some help from time to time, i also have a large Palladium Library from which to draw information and creative ideas
