EST+0? Do you mean GMT+0? Where do you live?
I am at GMT -4 which is the same as EST.
Whats the game about?
I am interested. Atomic Robo RPG is the RPG about these comics: http://www.atomic-robo.com/atomicrobo/archive All Atomic Robo comics are available online.
You don't need to know the comics to play though. I think the rulebook does a good job describing the premise of the game: "Y’know how you can watch a documentary about archaeology, and it’s a bunch of university professors and grad students carefully brushing dust from rocks? And then they learn something very important about pottery? Meanwhile Indiana Jones is also an archaeologist, but mostly he runs around shooting bad guys and having car chases? Now apply the Indiana Jones model to every other field of study. That's Atomic Robo."

If you don't evacuate a science facility at speed during some point in the game, then you're not doing it right! /Matt
I would love to join this!

Also the Atomic Robo Fate rules variants are essentially free to look at. But you miss the use of actual comic-book panels with added dialogue to illustrate the game! https://fate-srd.com/atomic-robo/custom-skills

So I did click on the link just so I could look around but I actually would be interested in joining. I've never used Fate but I am somewhat familiar with Atomic Robo. I would be curious though to know at what point in time the campaign is set.
The campaign is set in 2009, before station X and Ring of Fire. For all the people who aren't that familiar with the setting that means that Tesladyne (the action science company founded by the atomic robot that the game is named after) is mostly just investigating weird science stuff and there isn't really a major threat or goal.
I would love to join you but the time is not good for me... If there is a change please let me know.
Due to lack of attendance, the game is being changed to Friday, June 16.

Yes, they are. Although I would prefer if you read part of the FATE SRD, any experience level will be fine.

The June 16 date would work for me now. I have another alternating Fridays game, and one other once-a-month thing, but I read all of Atomic Robo and could join at least for the first one-shot.
Are there any more oneshots in the works? I'd love to play if there are, Atomic Robo is such a cool setting!

All the ATOMIC ROBO comics can be read for free. The earliest ones are at the bottom. http://www.atomic-robo.com/atomicrobo/archive The game is full of "Action Science". By contrast, Indiana Jones was merely Action Archeology. Science always succeeds, but you may face impossible expenses of time and resources if you want too much. You may have to accept some limitations. Even if you don't own the Atomic Robo book, the distinctive rules are all viewable for free in the Fate System Reference Document. It starts at Custom Skills, but click chapters on the left panel for more. https://fate-srd.com/atomic-robo/custom-skills
I'd like to play in some Atomic Robo one-shots, too. As a player, I often play at EST-friendly (evening) times, although I am at GMT+1. I could run some Atomic Robo games, but that would be at GMT+1-friendly (evening) times.
Thanks Pierre! And cheers Frank, I'm in NZ (GMT+12) and your evenings are good for me (my mornings). So if there is more interest, maybe we can make it work.
