Captain Chuck Friendly is a radish farmer delivering Radish pies to his fellow ships. He came to the pearl farm to check on the missing crab carrier the team had gamked.. looking for any signes which there are none available without magic. The dead athasian was a templar of Draegoth. about 40% of the crew - 230 total; about 110 were cursed by draegoth with undeath to better suppliy the karrnathi necroteck. when folks found out it can be reversed, about 80 of them asked to have it removed. As the conversations proceeded during the curse removing, the pirates get excited about benefits like bringing back from the dead if they die on duty in Good Standing... that's amazing. The team brings capt Chuck Friendly back from the dead to be questioed about higher level clearance conversation which gets the rumors spilling over the ship about better benefits. which cites an argument among pirate union stewards on the crew about how bad Malacar's conditi9ons are.. Malacan, the 6th Pirate of Llazhaar, has soveriegn over the crab ship as well as the pickle ship. He's known for his breeding of seahorses for all his troops to remain fast and ranged. The majority of his ships are oversized cargo ships and decommissioned carriers of various nations. Turned mostly into weaponized seahorse stables and cargo ships. Traditionally, Malacar has preyed on the Darguun shore communities beause Thrane is not gong to give a shit about Darguun settlements being robbed by pirates. Easy prey... but the Kreen land has removed the ent8re northeastern coast from abuse, and giant psycho bugs aren't in demand by anyone other than the Valenar. The steward gets a picture of the team and forwards it to the union HQ for the nmnthly newsletter. The steward also provides a letter of recommendation to the Union Leadership at the Principalities about the team's practices of over-benefitting tyhe crew to inspire greater loyalty. Day 153 - The pirates are motivated to have new direction, so are willing to help the team lure another carrier ship over to get ambushed as well.. team equips the Sketer and RaziR to come assist while the team waits 3 days for the rest of the pirate scouts to return to roost with reports. Most of them covert over as well, and by the time the team's ships arrive with crw, everything is in place and the signal is sent. Day 154 - The 3-claw monster arrives... a 250 foot long lobser shaped war ship with front clawas and a massive back claw. guns clustered at the front back and down the tail. all necrotec weapons. On deck, the team knows prodeudre is for the comm and scry officers to relay coordination between each other's bridges to align the ships properly for docking... everything stays normal and the team's fighter ships remain hidden among the coral ridges until the signal is sounded. Docking complete: the 1st officer from the 3 Claw Monster asks for permission to come aboard, arrives at the bridge and with the 1st officer of the Pickle Ship and invites the Picke's captain to join Capt. Barnaggle Bob on the Monster. The team gets invited as amazing performers, "the Barterrtown Misfits" hich Monster agrees to. Once aboard, the team finds the bridge with capt. bob and his Draegoth attendent. The first mates immediately start chatting about Draegoth's curse and the team takes this as a queue to diss the Draegoth Templar to his face, drawing an expected reaction from the blantant taunts-- and accusation that the curse of Draegoth is against the better interest of the pirate union members' benefits. The templar gnashes his teeth visibly while inisting the taunts are a lie. Arguments like this are easiest resolved by Rap Battle. The decsion would be made that evening. Eduardo uses the Knowlpedge of Ages to channel past Diss Bards of legend to lay serious smack on Draegoth, the Curse, their abusive practices at home, and distaste of pies to sway the tcrowd's influence to mutiny against Draegoth Templar, Capt. Bob, and their current Malacar contract. Bob and Tempar are tossed in the brig while the team spreads information to win over additional influence. 155 - Between Cpt. Bob and Chuck, the full story comes out: Prince malacar has cited aggreement to work with Balic and the Ledo city states to circumvent the trade teatise against the city states. In return, Draegoth is supplying their own necrotec they hijacked from karrnath to Malacar to stengthen their ability to cope with the border shift of Darguun.. Malacar hoping to take advantage of the conflict. Unfortunately, the agreement with Draegoth requires the pirate crew to use the necrotec to become cursed by Draegoth with undeath to not be limited by the fatigue caps of using necrotec itself. The pirates don't like the curse. they don't like not eating, they don't like not healing naturally anymore, the loss of smell and flavor and touch in their lives.. they feel shut in and aggression is the only rush tbey experience. They lose their humanity to become living batteries for necrotic weapons. The team has established their next priority-- overthrowing the House of Malacar.. the 6th Pirate of Llazaar to fuel their need for a full carrier armada to transport their growing army to hell. <end of session> Day 155 autum 2/3 to leve 14.
