Drag AOE effects from the Chat Panel

Hi, I've read somewhere that there's a way to do this. I mean, to have some effects for AOE spells available for the players that can be pulled inside the board from the chat window or something like that. Is that possibile?

In my experience, the easiest way to do that is to set up the AOE images as tokens and then assign them to character sheets. In my journal, I have a folder call "Spell Templates" with a character sheet for each spell. Make sure that you size the image correctly and set permissions before you save it to the sheet. Then you or your players can simply drag and drop the spell template onto the map when it's needed.

Another way of doing this is to make a "card" deck and just give everyone permission to draw from the deck. Going this route, all the "cards" need to be the same size, so if each AOE image is of a different size, you may need to create multiple decks.

That's a cool idea Finderski! I've never heard that one before.
ok thanks, I'll try the sheet method first to see if my players feel good about it. Deck idea is cool, but maybe more complicated.

Gianmarco, I put a  suggestion in for the idea that you can create Non-Character Sheet Journal items to take this sort of role. They'd have Edit/Use permissions like a Handout, but what they would contain is a premade token.  So you could either: build a standard 'targeting token' (like a Target Icon) with an Aura on it OR build a more complex looking icon which is scaled to the correct size. Then when players use it, they could just drag it to the Map.
