Dark Heresy and Adepta Sororitas

So as I shyly peek around this place for possible groups in DH, I find myself realizing that I really have little clue as to what the general community thinks of the Sisters of Battle, aside from the odd grumblings about the possibly overpowered version from the Inquisitor's Handbook. However, what I have access to is Blood of Martyrs instead, and was figuring on creating a Battle Sister who fanatically serves the emperor (and might like fire a tad too much), so... good idea? Or would that be unintentionally an even worse choice?
Isn't the other way around? The Inquisitors Handbook one is the okay one and the Blood of Martyrs one starts with Power Armour or some ridiculous crap like that? Anyway I have an Adepta Soritas in my group and it goes pretty smoothly. You just need to be willing to maybe tone the Zealotry back if it doesn't fit with the group (like with any character). It won't go down too well if you start going full on purge-mode when the rest of the team wants to be subtle. You can play that change of character however you want, for example you could say that away from the influence of your sisters you start to see that sometimes you need to restrain yourself with the lesser heretics in order to catch the bigger ones (and then burn the lesser ones afterwards anyway).
Ah, yes, I just noticed that power armour as well. I'm rather set on the Sister of Battle, but perhaps if I offered the GM a deal to have some... not so overpowered gear at the beginning. Say, an act prior to her induction into the Inquisition has required her to not only have faith as her shield, but also as her armour (especially considering a replacement suit probably isn't all that easy to come by quickly), at least until her superiors (coincidentally being the GM) decides she's worthy to wear such emblems again. Being without power armour would certainly cause my dear zealous character to bite her tongue when there isn't a good amount of ceramite protecting it, I would imagine.
Well you could always use the gear from Inquisitors Handbook, the only thing that stands out from the other classes is the Carapace Breastplate, all other gear is on par with the other starting stuff.
