Star Wars - Session Crawlers

Session 1 - 6/2/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Four standard months after the stunning victory at Yavin 4, the Galactic Empire doubles its efforts to root out and destroy the bourgeoning Alliance to Restore the Republic. While the Empire tightens its fist in the Core and Mid-Rim worlds, the Outer Rim remains wild. In the depths of space off a little known hyperspace route called the Death Wind Corridor, an ancient space station orbits an orange gas giant. The shadowport known as Port Tooga is busy with the departures and arrivals of derelict-looking freighters and smaller ships. Aboard the space station surrounded by merchants, smugglers, bounty hunters, and other low-life scum, six relatively new arrivals gather at the coordinates given to them and prepare for the Mirialan guards to escort them up to the palace of SHOOLA THE HUTT….
Session 2: 6/16/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After a violent job interview conducted by a towering Whiphid named Ug-Tak, the group met with the peculiar and amorous Shoola the Hutt. Accepting a job to be completed within three days, the six thrown together strangers headed for the planet Ryloth aboard the Kamen Rider freighter to abduct a former Black Hole pirate who is believed to be masquerading as an Imperial Navy lieutenant, has a spice addiction, and languishing in a tourist resort. Upon exiting out of hyperspace and into the Ryloth system, the Imperial Star Destroyer named Wrathful hailed the Ghtroc freighter and ordered it to prepare for inspection. A shuttle docked with the freighter, and an Imperial officer and three Stormtroopers came aboard. After some tense moments, the Imperial officer seemed satisfied and pronounced the freighter free to go. Docking in the Ryloth underground city of Nabat, the group decided to split up into three groups. To maintain the cover story told to the Imperials, KES and CHAR took a rented landspeeder and visited an Imperial outpost to accept a bounty on a Mandalorian. Meanwhile, VEZ and GUSS used another rented landspeeder to travel to the resort while KURTIS and R1-G took the public monorail system. Badly needing some credits, KURTIS bungled a pick pocketing attempt during the monorail trip and was accused of trying to molest an elderly Zabrak. Now the three groups converge on the Floating Rock Gardens Resort and prepare to search for the former pirate Wells….
Session 3: 6/30/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After entering the Floating Rock Garden Resort, the group began their search for Wells. R1-G sliced into the resort’s records while VEZ chatted up an old lady at the slots and commed his jittery Rodian contact named Zip. Meanwhile, KES was questioned by resort security and warned not to cause trouble. With the clues pointing to a spice den, the six companions made their way to the seedy location outside the resort’s walls. R1-G stood guard over the landspeeder while the rest of the group headed in, noting that a being across the street seemed to be watching the entrance. Inside, GUSS made a potential lady friend while VEZ spoke with a suspicious Kabaz wearing the clan symbol of JABBA THE HUTT. Having annoyed the Kabaz, VEZ was escorted outside by two burly Twi’leks. At this point R1-G alerted the group that Wells and a female companion were approaching. When the group failed to convince Wells to come with them, violence erupted with GUSS tackling the fleeing Wells to the ground. As R1-G brought the landspeeder around KURTIS administered a powerful sedative to Wells while CHAR, KES, and VEZ fought off the Kubaz and his Twi’lek henchmen resulting in the wounding of GUSS and the deaths of the Kabaz and a henchman. Deciding to make their way off Ryloth as soon as possible, the party raced to the Nabat spaceport in the rented landspeeders. KES and GUSS trailed behind in the second landspeeder and were pulled over by a pair of local Twi’lek police. Fearing that their identities and links to the spice den would be discovered, KES and GUSS miraculously disabled the cops’ communications then promptly killed them and made it look like a fiery traffic accident. Having lifted off from Ryloth without further incident, the Ghtroc 720 hurtles through hyperspace now with CHAR disassembling one of the stolen landspeeders and Wells hogtied by KURTIS. Soon the ship will emerge back into real space before making its final jump to Port Tooga….
Session 4: 7/14/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Deciding not to question Wells, the Ghtroc 720 returned to Port Tooga to find the majordomo Sarra and a dozen guards waiting to take immediate custody of Wells. Not seeing KURTIS, Sarra asked about him and was told that he had come down with a bad case of space flu and was quarantined on the ship. Sarra seemed willing to play along, for now. Having some time before the debriefing with Shoola, the party split up. CHAR and R1-G began some crafting work including the installation of an omnitool on R1-G that caused a strange malfunction that urged R1-G to visit a set of space coordinates. In the meantime, GUSS and KES checked in with Devas to find that he was disappointed with the quality of their intel. Additionally, GUSS learned that he had been transferred to Devas permanently, and an incentive was dangled in front of GUSS that if he performs well there may be news regarding Victoria. Meanwhile, VEZ received a com message from a Twi’lek named Vidra and went to meet with her at the Feelin’ Good brothel. Calling in her favor, Vidra wants VEZ to take her and her younger sister Tilly to their cousin on Naboo. There’s just the small matter of some credits owed to the Besalisk proprietor named Biswar. Before meeting with Shoola in the audience chamber, the droid She recommended that R1-G get an oil bath and paint job so as to be more presentable in the future. R1-G complied and managed to put off questions about the mission and learned from She that the mysterious coordinates were near the Bright Jewel Cluster. The rest of the party met with Shoola who was quite pleased about the mission’s speedy completion and indicated that further work would be forthcoming. Additionally, VEZ was warned that the death of the Kubaz would surely make Jabba the Hutt angry. After the Shoola meeting the party split up for shopping and other tasks. KES received an anonymous comlink message in Mando’a strongly warning her not to pursue a bounty. With the help of R1-G, KES sent a strongly worded message back to the sender in Mando’a telling him to “bring it.” R1-G thinks that the sent message could be traceable back to Port Tooga, but he to keep that information to himself. CHAR and R1-G then gathered crafting materials and prioritized work on upgrading the party’s weapons and creating new armor. Meanwhile, VEZ asked GUSS and KES to accompany him on some business. Arriving at the Feelin’ Good brothel, VEZ insisted on seeing Vidra before handing over any credits to Biswar. Once the exchange was concluded, Vidra led the way to the residential levels of Port Tooga to pick up her younger sister. Upon exiting the apartment, the group rounded a corner and was confronted by six armed beings including a towering Whiphid brandishing a vibrospear. Ug-Tak demanded that the group hand over VEZ for initiating the previous bloodshed and dishonor. Violence soon erupted resulting in Vidra and Tilly cowering behind crates, VEZ severely wounded, five of the Whiphid’s crew dead, and Ug-Tak unconscious. Not being able to lift the Whiphid and noting the many onlookers peering out their residence doors, it was decided to let Ug-Tak live. KES wrote a note to the Whiphid in blood indicating that next time he won’t be so lucky. With the Mirialan guards satisfied that this was self-defense, the group was allowed to collect the Twi’leks’ luggage and continue to the ship….

Session 5: 7/28/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… During the meeting with Devas, GUSS and VEZ negotiated terms to haul Imperial machine parts and Naboo wine. Devas insisted that the embarrassments to him and Ug-Tak be resolved by a credit making grudge match. After some back and forth, it was decided that when the party returns from Naboo that Ug-Tak would fight KES to the death followed by VEZ as the main event. Concerned about the Naboo Imperials discovering his identity, KURTIS had R1-G bolster his fake identity by adding historical facts to the holonet. During the time in route to Naboo, KURTIS experienced a highly disturbing dream of a cloaked figure with burning eyes and disembodied voices echoing words that sounded like variations of “alien” and “lean.” In the background, tall luminescent shapes moved about in the darkness, and nearby was the comforting voice of CHAR. Upon waking in a trembling sweat, KURTIS went to the galley for some refreshment and encountered a concerned CHAR. The two began talking about the vision and their pasts and soon discovered that they both possess rare gifts. In the cockpit R1-G explored astrogation holos of the mysterious coordinates that he is compelled to investigate. The space coordinates are in a relatively unknown pocket of space near the Bright Jewel Cluster. Conferring with GUSS and VEZ on the matter, VEZ maintained that region contains space leviathans. Approaching the coordinates for Naboo, the Ghtroc freighter was yanked out of hyperspace early and confronted by an intimidating array of Imperial power including an Interdictor and a Star Destroyer named the Dominance that KURTIS recognized. After the freighter was boarded, thoroughly searched, and the crew questioned about an empty smuggling compartment, the ship was permitted to land in Theed to offload the parts. During their brief stay, R1-G checked the Naboo news while GUSS purchased some cheap wine. Meanwhile, CHAR and KURTIS felt increasingly uneasy in the starport and urged leaving Theed as soon as possible. Landing in Moenia, the party split up. VEZ and KES took Vidra and Tilly to live with their artistic cousin. While visiting, VEZ bought one of Dontoll’s beautiful sculptures, and Vidra appeared to be VERY appreciative to VEZ for everything. Meanwhile, GUSS and R1-G took a trip to a winery outside of Moenia where GUSS convinced the proprietor to give them some empty bottles. Later, VEZ and R1-G went to the art exhibition of an up and coming painter named Derrick Domino and inquired about the outrageous cost of one of his gothic landscapes. Growing restless on the ship, KES led CHAR and KURTIS to a dive cantina where they almost got into a bar fight with the locals. With the Naboo wine loaded and everyone back at the ship, the Ghtroc freighter passed its final Imperial inspection and lifted off, climbing into the atmosphere and headed for the stars….
Session 6: 8/11/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Having returned to Port Tooga with the wine shipment, the entire shadowport seemed excited about the upcoming grudge match. KES and GUSS visited Devas to learn about the rules and toured the arena. While in the arena KES tried to hide an explosive-tipped arrow in a crate, but a guard thwarted the effort. Later, GUSS sold a few bottles of Naboo wine to his merchant friend Cusi and placed some bets. CHAR and R1-G visited CHAR’S business partner Billdip and presented the first suit of finished armor for the business. Billdip was pleased, and he relayed that a large Mandalorian named Lanx and some armed teenagers stopped by looking for KES. KES met with Lanx and learned that the teenagers will provide protection services for CHAR and Billdip’s business and that KES will be in charge of the teenagers in Lanx absence. After KES head-butted a mouthy teen, the teenagers became respectful. Deciding to sponsor KES in the upcoming match, the new company was named Black Star Defense Corporation, and the company logo was etched into KES’ armor. R1-G wandered off to inquire around the station about buying art supplies. While his processors were overheating from frustration he became aware that he was being followed. Ducking into a nearby alcove, R1-G began furiously removing the screws to an air vent. Just as he finished and set the grate down he was greeted by his old master, Toppo El, who was pointing an ion blaster at R1-G’s chest. Toppo El wanted his property back and found R1-G by detecting the droid’s electronic signature when he bolstered KURTIS’ holonet identity. After an exchange of blaster fire, R1-G dove into the air vent and slid down into the residential levels. After frightening a human female by inquiring about the location of local the bounty office, R1-G rejoined the rest of the group for safety. Meanwhile, KURTIS met Lady Shoola for dinner. During the course of the uncomfortable encounter, KURTIS removed his topcoat revealing to Shoola his Imperial uniform. Shoola’s mood instantly went from playful to serious, and she divulged that her main business is being an information broker and that she was aware that KURTIS is a deserter and that an Inquisitor is looking for him. KURTIS managed to smooth things over with Shoola some and got her to drink from the wine bottle he brought as a gift. Injected with a powerful drug designed to knock the Hutt out, the wine almost instantly rendered Shoola unconscious. Sarra was called in by the guards to investigate, and she insisted that KURTIS spend the night in a palace guest room while the wine was tested. Later, Sara and KURTIS cut a deal to convince Shoola of KURTIS’ innocence in the matter. In the arena, KES and Ug-Tak armed with vibrospear versus vibrosword went toe-to-toe in a close, epic battle. With both combatants wounded and tiring, Ug-Tak managed a near fatal uppercut aimed at KES’ throat that caught KES’ helmet and flipped it end over end high up into the air, revealing to a stunned audience that the Mandalorian was in fact a Zabrak woman. Furious, KES stabbed into the Whiphid’s crotch and twisted the virbrospear, finally downing the towering Ug-Tak in a cringe worthy, bloody spray. When KES moved to collect her helmet on the ground the lights suddenly went out and a gear mechanical sound could be heard in the center of the ring. GUSS’ keen ears heard from Devas in the VIP box a cry about being sliced. When the lights turned back on a massive six-limbed creature stood in the middle of the arena and roared shrilly, advancing towards the wounded KES….
Session 7: 8/25/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. During the harrowing arena fight with the Acklay, KES and VEZ were nearly killed. Thanks to the valiant efforts of the party and a burly Mandalorian named Lanx, the Acklay was downed with GUSS making the kill shot. CHAR earned some reluctant thanks from Lanx for helping him. While the arena mayhem raged R1-G sliced into the hijacked network and traced the rogue commands back to the data pad of a Chadra-fan named Peep who sat in the audience. After the Acklay fight Peep exited with the crowd, but R1-G continued to track the data pad and alerted his allies. VEZ was the first to reach the Chadra-fan as the doors to the turbolift closed, and he then turned the lift passengers against Peep. Meanwhile, CHAR managed to stop the turbolift between floors and return it to the arena level where the rest of the party waited. With the help of a husky Nova Room casino worker named Felix, the party took the struggling Chadra-fan to Devas. Crowds of angry beings congregated outside the Nova Room casino demanding their winnings. During the interrogation of Peep it came to light from KES that the Chadra-fan works for a Mandalorian named ULT KRYZE who has a sizeable Imperial bounty on him. Devas hired R1-G to thoroughly search Peep’s data pad for further information and report back ASAP. R1-G learned about a Cathar associate named Sunhoa, a HWK-290 starship, and a lead that Ult may be on the planet Omwat. Also, it appeared that Peep was not involved with the arena betting errors. Lady Shoola wanted an immediate audience. The party complied and made their way to the palace. KURTIS was told that he would not be admitted but must wait in the foyer instead. During the audience with Shoola two bare-chested Twi’ek males gave her a backrub while a vacant looking human fanned Shoola who looked vaguely like a Tarkin. After some convincing from Sarra, Shoola leveled with the party about the job details. She wants the party to investigate some Wild Space coordinates where Wells claims there is a rogue planet and a secret base for the ZANN CONSORTIUM. Further, there may be a very valuable item there that was supposed to be auctioned off but mysteriously wasn’t. Shoola promised 18,000 credits to scout the coordinates and more if the base is infiltrated and the item reterieved. Realizing the danger level of this mission and the need to better arm the ship, VEZ negotiated an interest-free loan from Shoola for 15,000 credits to be deducted from the mission credits. Further, VEZ relayed to Shoola everything that had been told to Devas about Peep, Ult, and the betting errors. Shoola seemed very pleased. Dismissed from the palace, the party set to work to prepare for a mission that will last at least two weeks….
Session 8: 9/8/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… After meeting with Shoola the Hutt the party broke off into groups. CHAR and KURTIS began installing ship upgrades while GUS, KES, and R1-G visited Devas to learn more about the betting errors. Devas hired R1-G and gave him access to the betting programs. R1-G learned that whoever was behind the slicing was an elite professional. Since Devas was preparing to leave Port Tooga due to the betting incident, he suggested that the group speak with Jad. Learning about the impeding visit to Jad, KURTIS joined the rest of the group while CHAR continued working on the ship. The four located Jad in a starship hangar and interrogated him in a corner. GUS tried to keep things civil, but KES and KURTIS had little patience and roughed Jad up despite Jad’s insistence that he has underworld connections and knows Shoola. KURTIS repeatedly asked about a frag grenade incident. Ultimately, Jad’s resolve crumbled, and he relayed that probably a human named Faber or a Dug named Prijo pulled off the betting errors. Since Faber’s whereabouts were unknown, Jad suggested visiting Prijo at his favorite Tooga hangout. At the rowdy Barvy Harpy cantina, the party found Prijo seated at the bar. Noticing KURTIS’ aggravated state, CHAR subtly removed the clip from KURTIS’ blaster rife as a precaution. The Dug was interrogated while KES squeezed Prijo’s foot in her armored grip. It soon became apparent that the Dug had suffered a blackout and had memory gaps. KURTIS became exasperated with the situation and stormed out of the cantina in a huff. A Besalisk friend of Prijo’s came to the Dug’s aid but then realized he was dealing with the party that fought in the arena. CHAR tricked the dim Besalisk into revealing Prijo’s address aboard Port Tooga. R1-G then sliced into the port’s video surveillance and discovered a shocking truth. It appeared that KURTIS had prior dealings with the Dug and perhaps drugged him. The party raced to the ship looking for KURTIS, but they only found VEZ aboard. After figuring out where KURTIS’ residence is on Port Tooga, the group hurried there only to find it cleared out. After thoroughly searching the apartment, CHAR found a piece of ripped up flimsiplast with a starship’s name on it: The Far Flung. After determining the whereabouts of the ship, the party headed straight to that hangar only to find that the freighter had left Port Tooga. Resolving to complete Shoola’s mission, the Ghtroc 720 freighter launched into hyperspace bound for the planet Lok in search of Black Hole Pirates. While in hyperspace R1-G expressed his artistic aspirations and created a masterpiece on a cargo hold wall. Reverting into real space near Lok, a few Z-95 Headhunter fighters were seen flying away from the planet. Scans of Lok revealed that the barren planet was sparsely populated. Thinking about the need to find some Black Hole Pirates, CHAR felt an intuitive pull towards Kimogila Town, so he directed VEZ to touch down in the outskirts where other ships had landed. The crew visited the local cantina called Brogar’s Safe House. GUS spoke with the one-armed Zabrak bartender who hinted that a group of eight rough-looking beings may be Black Hole Pirates. Noticing that this group of eight was antagonizing three possible Sulfur Lake Pirates by flicking space peanuts at them, KES decided to buy the three beings a drink and convince them to join forces against the eight. To get the eight pirates out of the cantina, R1-G dumped a glass of oil over the Black Hole leader’s head then sprinted for the door, the irate pirates close behind….
Session 9: 9/22/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After defeating the Black Hole pirates a loud bell sounded throughout Kimogila Town and beings either took off running towards their starships or began barricading themselves inside the cantina. A helpful Gand with a grudge against the pirates explained that giant carnivorous lizards must have been spotted outside the town. Thinking quickly, the party decided to throw the oiled and stunned Black Hole leader into the landspeeder and offered the helpful Gand named XUL a lift off planet. Once aboard and climbing safely into space from Lok, KES and GUSS began interrogating the pirate leader in the refresher. After some rough convincing from KES, Glix admitted that he didn’t know much about the Zann Consortium, but he could arrange a meeting under the guise of selling stolen goods. He would just need access to long-range communications. A plan was hatched to head to Mos Eisley on Tatooine and send a message offering to sell two crates of E-11 blaster rifles. While in route to Tatooine CHAR created some convincing replicas of E-11 rifles to use on the top layer of the crates, and XUL learned that his stolen Jubba bird may have been sold by Black Hole pirates on an unfamiliar planet. After receiving a message back from the Zann Consortium with space coordinates, the party left Tatooine and headed to the indicated coordinates near Wild Space. Rendezvousing and docking with a Zann ship, a woman captain and four of her crew came aboard to inspect the merchandise. Satisfied that the rifles looked legit, the Zann members prepared to take them aboard their ship. GUSS initiated a surprise blaster fight resulting in the downing of the Zann crew and an unconscious Zann captain. CHAR and KES then took the captain to the refresher and questioned her, but they found that she was made of tougher stuff than Glix. In a moment of inspired guile, CHAR convinced the Zann captain that he could read her mind and that lying or silence was pointless and would only result in further punishment from KES. From the captain the party learned about a Zann space station and fleet somewhere in Wild Space, and they also learned about Omega Base that seemed to line up with Shoola’s rogue planet coordinates. Meanwhile, GUSS and XUL searched the Zann freighter, dispatched a Zann crew member in the cockpit, and found a valuable black claw belonging to a large primate. Armed with information about the rogue planet’s defenses and how best to approach Omega Base, the party considers returning briefly to Port Tooga and presenting to Shoola the Hutt the Zann captain and Black Hole leader before time runs out on the usefulness of the rogue planet coordinates….

Session 10: 10/6/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to send the slower Twilight Rascal on autopilot towards the rogue planet while the Kamen Rider visited Port Tooga. Upon landing on the space station, Sarra and a group of guards greeted the party, and after a brief discussion they took possession of the Zann captain and Glix on behalf of Shoola the Hutt. Recalling a previous conversation with R1-G about his former master, XUL used his gifts and detected the presence of Toppo El aboard the station which prompted GUSS, XUL, and a very nervous R1-G to investigate. Toppo was working as part of a ship repair crew in a hangar. When he spotted the trio approaching he made a run for it, but GUSS was faster and grabbed him. Strangely calm given the circumstances, Toppo indicated that he either wanted his property back or 10,000 credits. With his circuits overheating from stress, R1-G ran back to the ship leaving XUL and GUSS with Toppo. Growing frustrated, GUSS resolved to have the two work out something aboard the Kamen Rider and took Toppo to the ship. Arriving at the ship they were greeted by R1-G in the ventral turret pointing the cannon barrels at them. XUL wisely separated from the group while GUSS interposed himself between the cannon and Toppo. Seeing that R1-G was preparing to fire, GUSS and Toppo lept away in opposite directions narrowly avoiding the incoming destruction. When Toppo got to his feet, he slowly backed out of the hangar with his hands up saying that perhaps this could be revisited later. Meanwhile, KES and CHAR had an audience with Shoola the Hutt. Discussing CHAR’s mind reading trick on the Zann captain, Shoola seemed to suggest that perhaps CHAR actually is Force sensitive, which CHAR downplayed. KES and CHAR were then given 7,000 credits as payment for bringing in the Zann captain and Glix then were dismissed and warned to hastily complete their mission. While in hyperspace towards the Wild Space coordinates, GUSS expressed to R1-G his displeasure at being shot at and a scuffle occurred in the cockpit prompting VEZ to order both out of the cockpit and to cool it. Reverting into real space at the coordinates, the party found themselves in empty space with nothing on the sensors. Using the available data about the possible trajectory of the rogue planet, R1-G pulled off an impressive math feat by calculating the probable location of the planet. The Kamen Rider and the Twilight Rascal headed in that direction and began a search pattern. Finally detecting the rogue planet on the edge of their sensors, it was decided to monitor comm traffic in the area before approaching. The staticy chatter of two starfighter pilots could be heard, so the party waited until the starfighters were completely out of range before approaching the planet. Switching to minimal power and passive sensors only, VEZ brought the Kamen Rider along the southern approach towards the habitable equator of the otherwise dark and rocky planet. In a stroke of luck, the passive sensors detected the mountain where Omega Base is supposed to be located, and a camouflaging outcropping of rocks was spotted as an ideal landing spot only a few miles from the mountain. Meanwhile, the Twilight Rascal was sent out ahead of the planet to wait until needed. After powering down the Kamen Rider the group gathered up food, water, and other items needed for the trek through the dark and luminescent jungle. KES took point and led the group east towards the mountain. The sound of a river was heard nearby then movement and a pounding sound in the trees. XUL recognized the presence of large and hungry primates overhead. After some discussion, KES took a sizeable portion of rations and tossed them opened into a clearing. Two ferocious looking apes climbed down from the trees and began eating the rations as the party walked around them and continued moving east....
Session 11: 10/20/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After appeasing the giant apes with food rations, the party continued east through the dark jungle towards the mountain. Suddenly, the jungle surface gave way dropping GUSS, KES, and CHAR into a terrifying freefall. Fortunately at the bottom was a pile of rotting vegetation that cushioned their fall. As their eyes adjusted to their new surroundings they appeared to be in some sort of ancient solarium with partially collapsed walls and overlapping metal tiles on the floor. One end of the room appeared to be intact and flickered with a seam of bluish-white power running through the metal wall. Overhead the squeals of some kind of animals could be heard. Moving off the pile of stinking vegetation to investigate the room, the creatures overhead became agitated and with shrill squeals swarmed down towards the party. Thinking quickly, KES hurled a net at the flying mammals and managed to ensnare most of them. Fearing that the strident squeals of the captured bats would incite others to attack, CHAR reached out with the Force and calmed them to sleep. With the remaining bats settling down, the trio explored the rest of the room. To the north was a metal stairway leading up and a strange looking droid floated in the air with hanging appendages that would randomly jerk to life then still. Curious, CHAR came forward and examined the droid in great detail and determined that he could deactivate it. Using the tools he brought he managed to power down the droid but in doing so he grazed the power source and gave himself a considerable jolt, much to the amusement of GUSS and KES. In the aftermath though, CHAR managed to extract a tiny metal and crystal memory chip from the droid heap. The stairway now clear, the three walked carefully up the darkened stairs. Another large room awaited with collapsed walls and what looked like roots and vines growing down from the ceiling. GUSS took the lead and peered around an intact metal wall and saw what looked like a flickering bluish-white power generator, a control console, a metal cube floating in the air, four symmetrically-arranged metal crates on the floor, and in the middle of the crates a giant droid stood on three legs with greenish-gold power flickering through it and bristling with cannons. After some whispered discussion about what GUSS saw, KES decided to stealthily cross the room and investigate an area covered with vines and roots that seemed to glow faintly. Seeing what looked like a tunnel behind illuminated by luminescent stones, KES began cutting through the vines quietly with her inactivated vibroknife. Meanwhile, intrigued by the strange droid, CHAR approached it openly and tried to communicate with it. The giant droid seemed to indicate that something needed to be done to one of the crates, so CHAR began testing out theories and color combinations on the crates. Seeing that KES had made significant progress cutting through the vines and had disappeared into them, GUSS sneaked across the room and trailed behind KES through the luminescent tunnel to the surface. By this time, CHAR had worked out what the droid wanted done and spoke to KES and GUSS over his comlink about his success. Using this language sample, a voice overhead began speaking to CHAR in Basic. CHAR learned that these ruins were once part of a city belonging to an ancient civilization known as the Gree and that the droid was a guardian. After allowing his data pad to be scanned for galactic news and answering some questions about his name, function, and purpose, CHAR learned that the Gree A.I. was opposed to the apparent tyranny of the Empire and offered CHAR the gift of the floating cube and complex directions on how to access the two crystals inside--provided that he not reveal the location of the Gree ruins. CHAR agreed, accepted the gifts, and followed behind KES and GUSS up the tunnel to the jungle surface. By the time CHAR reached the surface, KES and GUSS had concluded their game of hide and seek and had been found by XUL and R1-G. The five reassembled, the group resumes their trek east saying little about the time they had been separated….

Session 12: 11/3/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. With the entire party reassembled, the five resumed their trip east through the dark jungle. The terrain became hillier as the mountain neared in the distance. To the south some movement in the foliage was spotted. KES snuck up on the area and saw a bunch of hissing, nasty-looking carnivorous plants. Reporting her findings back to the group, it was decided to give that area a wide berth. Continuing on, CHAR spotted ahead what looked like artificial lights moving through the trees and coming closer. After some debate, the party decided to set up an ambush by climbing into trees and hiding behind tree trunks and rocks. Suddenly, the surprised sounds of droids and the aggressive whoops of animals could be heard. Blaster fire erupted comingled with the sounds of metal savagely being ripped and smashed. When the jungle was quiet again, the party considered going around the area entirely. R1-G spoke up saying that the droid remains could contain valuable intel. KES agreed to investigate and came upon a scene of a dozen ravaged droids and large animal tracks. Relaying the description of the tracks to the party, XUL posited that they likely belonged to the fierce looking primates previously encountered. KES scrutinized the droids one-by-one and eventually found one less pulverized with a clearly identifiable Zann Consortium symbol on it. By this time the rest of the party had joined KES at the scene. At GUSS’ prompting, R1-G jacked into the battle droid’s torso and managed to bypass the security firewalls. Within he found a wealth of information hinting at base motion sensors, video surveillance, battle droid guard stations, and most importantly a fairly detailed map of the base. The party studied the map and weighed the pros and cons of various scenarios. Ultimately, it was decided not to enter the base through the east cave entrance but instead enter through the less defended entrance to the west. Suddenly, rapid movement was heard overhead in the trees. Three large apes descended upon the party aggressively, one of them much larger than the others. GUSS began shooting at the apes with his rifle, but the hyphens of deadly energy seemed to do less damage than expected due to the tough hides and musculature of the apes. XUL did some sort of hand wave trick at the alpha that seemed to slow his descent and dumbfounded him for a few precious seconds. Meanwhile, CHAR cut into the apes with his sword, KES fired arrows, and R1-G took aimed shots with his blaster. The apes for their part used their massive arms and lashed out at the party knocking them around. Before the apes were all killed the alpha male landed a significant blow on GUSS. After recovering from the battle the group circled around to the other side of the mountain. During their jungle trudge two starfighters streaked out of the presumed east base entrance and roared up into the stars. Having made their way to where the west base entrance should be, the party was confronted with a sheer cliff wall and a thunderous waterfall. KES parted from the group to approach closer and make out where the base entrance might be, but she couldn’t tell due to the darkness and cascading water and mist. XUL parted from the group to come closer and looked over the cliff and waterfall. He then sat down under a tree and seemed to meditate or pray for a time. When he stood up XUL pointed at an area behind the waterfall about 115 feet up and said with certainty that the entrance is there. KES eyed the Gand suspiciously. Fearing that a fall from the cliff would kill anyone in the party, a plan was devised to have KES use her climbing gear and scale the dry left side of the cliff. She would then secure herself to the cliff wall parallel to the cave entrance and haul up party members one-by-one using the pulley system of her deconstructed compound bow and a makeshift swing constructed by CHAR. Each party member would then secure themselves to the cliff wall, assist hauling the other party members up, then as a group carefully scale the wet rock face behind the waterfall and enter the cave. Thanks to the impressive athletic prowess of KES, the ingenuity of the party, and some luck on their side, the plan was executed without mishap. With the party near the edge of the cave entrance and ready to go in, KES peers into the massive cave mouth but can only see a damp cave of stalactites and stalagmites that trail off into darkness….
Session 13: 11/17/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. The party entered the wet cave with the thunderous waterfall behind them. KES led the way deeper into the cave. Suddenly, a muffled-choking sound was heard. XUL had some sort of squid creature covering him from head to knees, immobilizing and suffocating him. GUSS used his brute strength to pry the creature off of XUL and threw it to the ground. The thing then sprayed a cloud of ink and flew up into the cave’s ceiling and disappeared. A thankful XUL nodded at GUSS and examined his helmet that was bent up and had savage teeth marks in it. Needing to press on, the group did their best to walk around where they thought the creature might be lurking above. A bright light could be seen up ahead, so the party sneaked forward for a closer look. Two battle droids were standing guard at the entrance to a ship hangar. To draw them away from their post, GUSS threw a couple of rocks and finally got the droids to move off deeper into the hangar to investigate. The entire group tried to slip past the droids, but one of the droids swiveled its head and spotted them. In response to the droids telling them to put their hands up, KES and GUSS pretended they were doing a surprise security inspection, but the droids weren’t convinced. Meanwhile, two more droids crossed the hangar to investigate and provide reinforcement. Concerned that the alarm would be sounded any second, KES, GUSS, and XUL fired into the droids while CHAR hacked into them. With the battle droids defeated, the party fanned out to explore the hangar. CHAR found a powered down loader droid and tried to access it, but the droid’s design was unfamiliar. So, CHAR settled instead for removing its power core. Simultaneously, R1-G and GUSS investigated the YG-4210 light freighter parked in the hangar called The Patient Blade. After R1-G sliced into the security keypad and lowered the loading ramp, GUSS investigated the ship and found it to be meticulously clean and empty of cargo. CHAR removed a key component of the ship to keep it grounded. Meanwhile, KES and XUL took up defensive positions keeping an eye on the two hangar entrances. Exiting the hangar through the north entrance, the group passed through a storeroom of crates and found themselves looking down a long metal corridor. Spotting a dark shape at the bend in the corridor, a couple of party members broke off from the group to investigate. The shape then moved and made loud metal-against-metal sounds as it rolled rapidly towards them. Recognizing the shape as a fearsome droideka, GUSS and the rest of the party poured blaster fire on it before it could deploy its shields. The damaged destroyer droid managed to get off one wild barrage of blaster fire before it was reduced to a smoking heap, but it had managed to sound the base alarm. Amid the pulsing siren’s blare, CHAR and GUSS directed R1-G to access a panel nearby, shut off the alarm in this vicinity, and send a false reading that the intruders were in the base’s cave entrance. It was then that two elite Zann Consortium guards came around the corridor and opened fire with their heavy blaster rifles, but they proved to be no match for the quick and focused fire of the party. With the guards downed, the group decided to split up. On a hunch that something valuable was likely in there, GUSS had R1-G slice into the laboratory supply room and went inside to closely examine the crates, but he found only medical and laboratory supplies. R1-G and the rest of the group meanwhile headed northeast towards the command center, but they heard what sounded like a small army of droids coming rapidly towards them. Sprinting in the opposite direction, they opened the door to the east power plant and found inside a droideka on full alert with its shields activated. Hastily shutting that door, the group continued to sprint down the corridor with the army of droids rounding a corner behind them and giving chase. Disappointed with his findings in the supply room, GUSS decided to don the serviceable laminate armor off one of the guards and investigate the nearby laboratory. Finding a mic and speaker system on the wall next to the laboratory door, GUSS called into the lab and managed to convince one of the scientists to open door. Meanwhile, the rest of the party was being chased in a circle around the base. Once inside the lab, GUSS was greeted with mind-bending sights. In the center of the lab was an unidentifiable geometrically-stacked object. There was also what looked like a tall Sullustan floating in a tank with a breathing apparatus and tubes and wires stuck in him. Floating in another nearby tank was a strange tentacled alien that appeared to be dead. GUSS kept up the ruse of being a Zann guard, but one of the scientists saw through his disguise and ran to a panel to hit the alarm. GUSS calmly fired a stun bolt into the scientist’s back and dropped him. Having the attention now of all of the scientists in the room, GUSS ordered them against a wall and began questioning them about the sights in the room. He learned that the stacked object was thought to be a computer found somewhere on this planet, and the tentacled alien was believed to be a member of an ancient species that once occupied this world. GUSS communicated his findings back to his fellow party members and a plan was hastily assembled to meet in the hangar and escape using the freighter. CHAR directed everyone in his group back towards the long corridor as he fished out a grenade and timed it to go off when the pursuing army neared the door to the upper base. The grenade went off as intended and collapsed the lower base corridor enough to deter any immediate pursuit. R1-G then accessed the panel from before and tried to close the corridor door to the west but failed due to heighted security. However, he was able to prevent the base from closing the waterfall hangar door and thereby prevent the freighter from escaping. Meanwhile, KES and CHAR ran to the ship to prep it for takeoff while GUSS pressed the scientists into transporting the computer, and XUL carried the tentacled alien over his shoulder. After everyone was aboard, KES activated the freighter’s cannon and slagged the storeroom door. The freighter then rocketed down the cave tunnel and as it neared the waterfall the squid creature that had attacked XUL splatted against the windshield and was promptly washed off as the ship burst through the waterfall and out into the dark jungle air….
Session 14: 12/1/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Betrayal! Having escaped the rogue planet the party returned to Port Tooga only to have the Cathar GUSS try to steal the ancient supercomputer. Fearing that the powerful technology would fall into the wrong hands, a final and desperate plan was hatched to self-destruct the ship that ultimately obliterated GUSS, VEZ, four Zann Consortium scientists, and the supercomputer. The survivors CHAR and KES sought to reunite with R1-G and XUL at the opposite hangar entrance, but R1-G and XUL had mysteriously vanished and didn’t answer their comlinks. After a mission debriefing and chastisement about the exploded ship from SHOOLA THE HUTT, CHAR and KES investigated the death of CHAR’s business partner Billdip but only learned that he was killed by a very rare spider venom. However, they had suspicions as to the motive and the perpetrator. Meanwhile, Shoola’s majordomo SARRA notified CHAR and KES that an Imperial Sector Ranger has been inquiring around Port Tooga about the whereabouts of a certain Mandalorian and Cathar. Unsure what this could be about, CHAR and KES laid low until the ranger and his entourage of armed droids departed from the shadowport. Now free to move about the station, CHAR and KES continued rebuilding the Darkstar Consortium business by purchasing a shop protocol droid and upping security. Needing specialized skills from talented beings and access to a starship, a help wanted advertisement was placed. The initial applicants weren’t worth interviewing, but the three most recent applicants named CYRUS, GARN, and PERDU appear very promising….
Session 15: 12/15/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. CYRUS, GARN, and PERDU answered the Darkstar Consortium employment ad and were tasked by CHAR and KES to procure cortosis for armor manufacturing. GARN and PERDU quickly determined that Gunthar’s Rifle Emporium had some, so the trio headed there. CYRUS took the lead on negotiations and eventually talked Gunthar down to a reasonable price and with PERDU’S help learned that the Mirialan named JAD was the cortosis supplier who parted with the rare material due to some misfortune. Returning to the Darkstar Consortium shop, GARN took the precaution of scanning for cyber intrusions and detected that the shop’s video surveillance was being monitored. From GARN’S expert slicing and the temporary Port Tooga security codes, it was determined that the Chadra-fan named PEEP was doing the spying aboard a HWK-290 light freighter on the other side of Port Tooga. Further, the wanted Mandalorian bounty hunter ULT KRYSE and his Cathar associate SUNOHA were also aboard the station. Learning this news, KES managed to contain her anger and hatched a plan with CHAR and the three new party members to pay an unfriendly visit to the hangar. Half way to the hangar the party crossed into an area of the Tooga Bazaar that seemed deserted. Suddenly, some large beings stepped around tents and walls or rose from cover with blaster rifles and vibroaxes at the ready. Among them was a very large Wookiee who roared an attack order that prompted a second Wookiee, two Aqualish, and two Talz to attack. Thanks to the quick draw of CYRUS and the subsequent barrage from PERDU’S dual blaster pistols, the large Wookiee was quickly taken down, evening the odds. KES went toe-to-toe with the remaining Wookiee while the rest of the party dealt with the blaster rifles of the Aqualish and Talz with GARN’s blaster respectfully contributing. During the battle KES and a couple of the other party members were hurt which necessitated CHAR to use his rare gifts. When the tide of the battle turned decidedly against the thugs, one Aqualish attempted to flee but was shot down by PERDU. KES charged the final thug and lopped off the top of his head. When the battle was over only an unconscious Talz survived. After the party convinced the late coming Port Tooga security guards that the violence had been in self-defense, KES collected a sizeable bounty on the large Wookiee. The Mirialan guards then took the surviving Talz into custody to be questioned by agents of Shoola the Hutt. After searching the bodies and calling in the Mandalorian teens to collect the thugs’ weapons, the party resumes their crossing of Port Tooga to the hangar of the HWK-290 light freighter….
Session 16: 12/29/2017 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Following the surviving Talz being hauled off for questioning, the party resumed their trip to the HWK-290 hangar only to find it empty. At KES’ prompting, GARN searched Port Tooga’s video surveillance and located an armored Mandalorian heading to the residence levels and into a private residence. The group gathered in the hallway near the private residence and debated what to do next. PERDU struck up a conversation with three locals named Keal, Lork, and Kimber and after spending some credits gained additional intel. Ultimately, the door was sliced open and the direct approach taken only to find that the Mandalorian was a decoy hired by a certain Mirialan. Growing frustrated, it was decided that the best way to handle Jad was to get him into trouble with his own organization. The party paid a visit to the Nova Room casino and spoke with the new being in charge named CIB LOZE of the Frontier Expeditions Corporation. CYRUS relayed the dirt the party had on Jad and convinced the green Twi’lek that it was in his best interest to speak with the Jalk Syndicate and convince them to put a bounty or hit out on Jad. Cib agreed to see what he could do. GARN encountered two members of his old slicing crew that insisted he return to work with them immediately. During the resulting fight outside the Barvy Harpy cantina, KES and PERDU permanently retired the Bith named Mondar and the Trandoshan named Dranic while CYRUS watched the fight and chatted up a new Twi’lek lady friend named Lena. Later, KES received a taunt in the form of a piece of flimsiplast with the symbol of Clan Varad on it. While working on some new armor, CHAR received an anonymous tip that they should check out hangar 482. CHAR gathered the group together, and they set out to investigate and discovered that this hangar had a Rodian guard and a Sullustan guard posted outside the hangar door. GARN sliced past some impressive security and tapped into the hangar’s cameras revealing a birds eye view of the hangar that included a HWK-290 light freighter and a large tarp. GARN then deployed the comm jammer and locked the hangar down so that the ship cannot escape….
Session 17: 1/12/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. With the imposing visages of PERDU and KES backing him up, GARN convinced the slovenly Rodian and Sullustan guards to flee. Finally opening the door to hangar 482, GARN dashed inside to seek cover and set off an electronet and anesthetic gas trap. Later, kamikaze mouse droids and two gun turrets deployed. GARN reprogrammed a loader droid to keep one of the turrets busy while PERDU, CYRUS, and CHAR dealt with the other turret and the mouse droids. Sunoha and Ult managed to get the hangar door open and immediately focused fire on KES with a dual blaster barrage and a custom heavy blaster rifle. CRYUS tossed a stun grenade to soften them up. KES and CHAR then took them on and downed Sunoha rather quickly. Ult proved to be a much tougher opponent though, trading insults in Mando’a with KES and going one against two with KES and CHAR until his blaster rifle exploded in his hands. To CYRUS’ amazement, CHAR unleashed red lighting on Ult and stabbed him in the chest with a crossguard lightsaber. KES then moved in and with her vibroblade lopped off Ult’s left arm then stabbed him in the same place in the chest, finally killing Ult. Meanwhile, seeing that the HWK-290 ship was powering up, GARN sliced into the hangar’s systems and engaged the docking clamps to keep the ship grounded. PERDU moved forward and jumped on top of the ship and after much frustration entered the freighter by picking the mechanism of an escape hatch. Once inside, PERDU convinced Peep that it would be far healthier for him to flee the ship, and Peep complied. Once outside the ship, however, Peep began messing with the outer hull circuits. Seeing this, CYRUS and GARN took shots at Peep but the elevation of the ship provided too much cover. With a gleeful laugh, Peep initiated a massive electrical arc throughout the inside of the freighter that brought PERDU to his knees. Seeing the developments going on at the ship, CHAR dashed to the hangar terminal and managed to release hangar scaffolding and other items from the ceiling that rained down on the ship knocking Peep unconscious and trapping him under debris and barely missing CYRUS and GARN. CYRUS then climbed onto the ship and began digging Peep out while GARN bypassed the ship’s security pad and entered the freighter to help PERDU. After shutting the hangar door the group took inventory of the damage to the ship and the items found on their adversaries. A fire suppressant crew and a group of guards soon arrived and demanded from the other side of the hangar door to be let in. CYRUS managed to convince them that things were under control, but one of the guards insisted that at least one of them meet with Sarra and explain what happened. KES agreed to meet with the majordomo two hours from now…
Session 18: 1/26/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. With the Sarra meeting rescheduled for the following day, the party pursued other matters. GARN, PERDU, and CYRUS interrogated Peep and learned about his rescue from the clutches of Devas on Ryloth, Ult’s hideout on Omwat, Ult’s connection to Jad, and how Cib sowed doubts about Jad with the Jalk Syndicate. After receiving a promise from Peep that he would not seek revenge on them, CHAR offered Peep a job in exchange for his life and freedom. Peep is to keep tabs on underworld activity on Port Tooga. Meanwhile, KES visited the local bounty hunter’s office and made a call home. After getting some much needed sleep, the group met with the unusual Shoola the Hutt and her entourage. Shoola wanted 5K credits as compensation for the hangar damage, but CHAR persuaded her to deduct it from their next job of 25K credits plus one month’s provisions for investigating some space coordinates and returning within 2 – 3 weeks. During the meeting CYRUS got the impression that Shoola was romantically interested in him, which made him quite uncomfortable. After the meeting CHAR had a brief conversation with Sarra where she hinted at having some valuable intel to trade, but from CHAR’S probing questions he gathered that the information had been shopped around to various parties and decided not to take Sarra up on the offer. Simultaneously, GARN spoke with the shapely droid She and expressed his interest in examining her insides. Though flattered and initially taking his interest as sexual in nature, She turned GARN down due to not knowing him well enough. PERDU and GARN returned to the decoy Ult’s residence and with Peep’s datapad sliced into the Frontier Expeditions Corporation and learned that a being from PERDU’S past named Bol was transferred to the parent company of the FEC and given a promotion. However, further probing into the FEC tripped a security alert that sent armed thugs to the decoy’s residence forcing PERDU and GARN to bolt for the nearest turbolift. Later on, CYRUS watched his newest lady friend Lena dance at the Barvy Harpy while GARN irritated the bartender and CHAR purchased a security box to store valuables. Later still, GARN operated on Peep’s fingers and implanted a device in Peep’s body cavity to shock him. Soon after, powerful jolts could be felt throughout Port Tooga and a state of confusion gripped the station. GARN sliced into the shadowport’s external surveillance cameras and saw outside the ray shield a round capital ship unleashing starfighters while two smaller gunships fired turboblasters into the shield. Slicing into the station’s communication systems, GARN eavesdropped on a demand from the capital ship that the station return their stolen property and hand over the thieves. CHAR then got a call from Sarra telling him to get off the station immediately. After grabbing a few precious items, the party members dashed to CYRUS’ YT-2400 freighter. On the way GARN used Peep’s datapad again and sliced into the station’s PA system and caused a full on station panic causing many ships to flee Port Tooga. In the bedlam, CRYUS did some fancy flying weaving through the escaping ships and attacking starfighters. GARN then sliced into the communication channel between the station and the capital ship and tried to convince the capital ship that a fleeing YT-1300 had the thieves, but the commanding voice aboard the capital ship wasn’t fooled and promised to kill the liar. While CRYUS flew towards open space PERDU vaporized one attacking starfighter and got the attention of six more that vectored in. With the ready chime of the navcomputer, the button was hit, and the Royal Gambit jumped into the swirling tunnel of hyperspace, destination Omwat…
Session 19: 2/9/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After escaping Port Tooga by jumping into hyperspace, CYRUS detected something amiss aboard the Royal Gambit. The group searched the ship and found a stowaway. A tattooed woman in an evening gown stepped out of an escape pod pointing a blaster pistol. CYRUS immediately recognized her as his ex-girlfriend Sydash. Angry about being dumped back at the Wheel space station, she demanded either the ship or a pile of credits or CYRUS’ family on Naboo would be hurt by Gungans. Tired of having a blaster pointed in his direction, PERDU subdued the woman and in short order she was medically examined by GARN and rendered safely unconscious. Unsure whether to take Sydash’s threats seriously, CYRUS opted to play it safe and redirected the ship from Omwat to Naboo. Following some minor Imperial entanglements, the party disembarked from the Royal Gambit and headed to a poor neighborhood in Theed. While approaching the intended city block an explosion went off in the distance and Imperials appeared to be responding. PERDU decided to stand guard outside the apartment building while the rest of the group went inside and had dinner with CYRUS’ Twi’lek “mother” Galla and his Twi’lek “sister” Olsa. During the dinner in which Galla experienced rudeness from CYRUS’ companions, Galla explained that freedom fighters were active in a nearby neighborhood, and it was also learned that Olsa has a boyfriend. Observing that members of the local 81 Gang were preparing to sell death sticks in the neighborhood, KES and PERDU decided to intervene and beat up a couple of the gang members and stomped the death sticks into the street. Upon learning this, Galla feared for her safety and the safety of Olsa. KES offered to relocate them to her home planet, but Galla showed little interest in resettling to the other side of the galaxy, and Olsa protested that she can’t leave her true love. Not sure what to do, it was decided that CHAR, GARN, and CYRUS would escort the mother and daughter to the safety of the ship until things could be sorted. Along the way, Galla regaled them with embarrassing tales of CYRUS’ angry ex-girlfriends. Later, the thief Sydash was handed over to Imperial authorities in exchange for 4K in credits. Meanwhile, KES and PERDU headed to a nearby Imperial base to collect the bounty on the deceased Mandalorian Ult Kryze. Thinking of the Imperial lawman that was looking for her a few weeks ago, KES claimed to the gate Stormtrooper guards that she had recently misplaced her bounty hunter credentials. With the guards refusing to let them in until KES could back up her claim, PERDU recalled the name of a local Imperial commander from GARN’S communications monitoring. Claiming that they had already spoken with the commander about the bounty, the guards let them enter the base. Once inside, KES spoke with a senior Imperial officer and recited from memory her brother’s bounty hunter credentials. Satisfied but perhaps taking advantage of this irregularity, the officer handed over the bounty credits minus 10K. Angry but deciding not to press the issue, KES accepted the 40K and hurriedly left the base with PERDU. While the rest of the group settled in Galla and Olsa and waited patiently for KES and PERDU to return from the base, KES and PERDU headed back to the apartment building to check on things. Finding that members of the 81 Gang were terrorizing the building’s occupants, KES and PERDU methodically went from floor to floor and either stunned or killed all the gang members they found and learned the whereabouts of gang’s headquarters. With this information relayed back to the rest of the group, GARN made an anonymous tip to the local police, and he also alerted a gang member of the rival Razorbacks about the 81 Gang’s recent misfortune. With all the party members back on the ship, discussions turn to ensuring the safety of Galla and Olsa and where to head to next….
Session 20: 2/23/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. While KES and CYRUS gave Galla and Olsa credits to relocate on Theed, PERDU learned that the Frontier Expeditions Corporation is headquartered on Cloud City, but there was no listing of PERDU’S person of interest. The Royal Gambit then left Naboo and jumped into hyperspace for Omwat. Nearing the camouflage looking planet, sensors detected an intermittent distress signal coming from the surface and what appeared to be a powered down base in orbit. The ship flew closer to the base to investigate and discovered an automated Imperial message. Heeding the harshly worded warning, the ship backed away from the abandoned base in favor of investigating the Ult hideout coordinates and distress signal. Discovering that a crashed spaceship transmitted the distress signal and was relatively close to the hideout’s coordinates, the now ill CYRUS did a flyby and could see through the trees three wooden huts while sensors detected a stationary lifeform nearby. PERDU and KES were dropped off to investigate while the ship landed in a nearby clearing. PERDU and KES snuck up on a human male wearing a trench coat who was watching with macrobinoculars the Royal Gambit land. The human then calmly made his way towards the ship while PERDU and KES stalked behind. CHAR exited the ship to converse with the human while GARN jumped in one of the gun turrets and took a bead on the newcomer. The charming human introduced himself as KA’EL and explained that he crashed his Y-Wing on the planet about three days ago, had been sheltering in one of the huts, claimed to be a gifted pilot, and was hoping for a lift. Since CYRUS was ill and a pilot was needed, the party cautiously accepted KA’EL into their ranks and began investigating the huts and the surrounding area but found little except for some large tracks. However, KA’EL produced a piece of folded flimsiplast from his pocket that he found in one of the huts with handwriting in an unfamiliar language. CHAR immediately recognized the writing as Shistavanen and discovered it was a note left by his old master and contained a coded message with space coordinates. Meanwhile, GARN discovered that CYRUS’ stomach virus was contagious, so he quarantined CYRUS in the captain’s quarters and disinfected the ship. As dusk gave way to night, the party prepared to go to sleep aboard the ship and set a watch schedule. Before turning in, GARN did a sensor sweep of the area surrounding the huts and discovered a concentration of metal that was likely a buried cache, but it was decided to investigate it in the morning. During third watch, CHAR heard strange shrieks and growls in the distance rapidly growing closer. CHAR woke the rest of the group and urged KA’EL to lift the ship off high into the air. Meanwhile, GARN jumped into the ventral turret. Below was an enormous creature that looked part bird and part bear. Enraged, it savagely tore off a chunk of a nearby hut and flung it at the ship causing minor hull damage. KA’EL responded by climbing higher into the air, and GARN blasted the creature in the buttocks, driving off the giant hawk-bear thing howling in pain. Wanting to investigate the buried cache, the group decided to have GARN track the creature using the ship’s sensors while KES and PERDU jumped from the lowered ship with digging tools. PERDU created a sniper’s nest in the trees and kept watch while KES dug into the soft earth. Eventually, she struck something and lifted out a metal container. At this point enraged shrieks and growls could be heard in the distance and coming closer, so KES and PERDU ran back to hovering ship and leapt onto its boarding ramp. After disarming a trap, the metal container was found to contain 20K credits. CHAR wanted to investigate the relatively nearby flimsiplast coordinates, so GARN performed an astrogation check and the ship leapt back into hyperspace. While in route, CHAR explained that the note was from an old mentor. Emerging back into real space, the party discovered an unknown wilderness planet with massive lifeform readings. Looking at a sensor map of the planet, CHAR felt a mystical tug towards a forested foothills area and directed KA’EL to find a clearing and land there. After touching down on the rugged planet, skittering could be heard on the ship’s outer hull. Looking out the viewports and gun turrets, adorable rodent looking creatures could be seen running to and fro. Upon carefully exiting the ship, dozens of these creatures could be seen on the hull, and it quickly became apparent that they were trying to remove the hull plating and get at the ship’s powerlines. While KA’EL initiated his idea to power the ship completely off, PERDU tried communicating with them and learned that the creatures were at least semi-intelligent and seemed to have telepathic abilities. Further, he managed to communicate to one of the creatures that the ship was his territory and should be respected. At that a chittering went out among the creatures and most of them obliged by leaping off the ship and disappearing into the tall grass. Later, the party learned the creatures are called Hoojibs. Meanwhile, CHAR felt a familiar presence approaching and wandered off from the group followed later by KES. Emerging from the trees was a robed Kel Dor named Za Gostan, CHAR’S old master. After introductions were made to the entire group, Za invited everyone to his home for a meal and refreshments. Inside a cave was a very spartanly furnished home that contained an alcohol still. As Za began preparing dinner, he offered in wooden cups a sampling of his hobby which GARN eagerly accepted and quickly downed. Soon after, GARN slid down a cave wall and began mumbling and kicking in a drunken stupor. With KES distrustful and PERDU uncomfortable around the Kel Dor, the two turned down the food and beverages in favor of enjoying fresh air and the clear view of the stars. Meanwhile, Za relayed the details of some troubling visions he had regarding CHAR and a burned man that was actively seeking CHAR. The two also spoke of the destruction of Alderaan and the Death Star. In response, Za invited CHAR to cautiously let the Rebel Alliance know the location of the planet as a possible base location. Afterwards, CHAR and Za had an outdoor meditation session in which CHAR directly experienced the living Force and felt a profound sense of peace. In the morning, Za bid CHAR and his companions farewell and watched the ship lift off from Arbra and rocket through the clouds. The Royal Gambit then jumped into hyperspace and headed for KES’ home planet on the other side of the galaxy….
Session 21: 3/9/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After a stop at the swamp planet Mimban for refueling and supplies, the Royal Gambit touched down on a platform just outside of Hyllyard City on Myrkr. In the morning, the party set off to acquire speeder bikes to take them through the Great Northern Forest and to KES’ home. Rounding a Hyllyard City building they were confronted by six armed Gank from the Nigt'tus pack of Nar Shaadda that insisted PERDU join them. When PERDU refused and shot a stun bolt into their leader things got violent resulting in the deaths of three Gank before they backed down and took away their dead. During the fight KES beheaded one, and CHAR used lighting supposedly from his gauntlets. Having acquired speeder bikes, KES led the way weaving through the forest until they came upon a small lake clearing with a house in the middle. From atop the house KES’ brother in gold and orange Mandalorian armor fired a blaster rifle greeting shot that struck the ground in front of KES’ bike and sprayed dirt on her polished armor. Later, Emroc would pay for that prank by getting a knee to the groin. In a large central room inside the house, introductions were made to the Zabrak brother Emroc and to KES’ mother, a human in gray Mandalorian armor named Sinta. While in the central room CHAR and PERDU experienced the unsettling sensation of being cut off from the Force due to a reptilian creature CHAR guessed was a Ysalamir that clung to an olbio tree in the center of the room. During introductions, KES took off her helmet and revealed to the newest party members that she is a Zabrak female. While lunch was prepared a tour was given of the house. PERDU decided to take a short nap in one of the guest quarters, and KA’EL sampled Mandalorian ale and asked to speak with Sinta. Perhaps annoyed with being pulled away from overseeing lunch, Sinta patiently listened to KA’EL’S flattery and sweet talk then abruptly head-butted him, thus teaching KA’EL a valuable lesson about Mandalorian culture and their women and emphatically telling him that the Royal Gambit may not be brought closer to the house. During lunch Emroc tried to intimidate CHAR with his stare in preparation for the upcoming duel, but CHAR was unfazed and stared down Emroc so successfully that the Zabrak injured himself eating and had to excuse himself from the table. Near the end of the meal, PERDU briefly took off his helmet to tear into some meat. Without the Force as his ally, CHAR and Emroc faced off with vibroswords in the central room. Perhaps ignoring the non-lethal rules of the duel, Emroc swiftly swiped at CHAR’S neck, but with a turn of his hips CHAR interposed his armored shoulder. CHAR then spun around and with one deft sweep of his vibrosword managed to unbalance Emroc and point the tip of his humming sword just under Emroc’s helmet and deathly close to his neck. After a couple of tense moments in which the two combatants stared at one another’s T-visors, Emroc tapped out. CHAR then offered Emroc an arm and helped him to his feet. With grudging respect and a nod towards CHAR, Emroc told KES that she chose well for a new brother and left the central room humbled. Sinta acknowledged her surprise about the swift end to the duel and welcomed CHAR into Clan Ordo….

Session 22: 3/23/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. At Sinta’s behest most of the party fixed a generator or painted canoes. Meanwhile, PERDU explored the rainy woods around the Ordo house and found large canine tracks. After checking in with KES, PERDU headed in the opposite direction of the tracks, but he soon became aware that he was being stalked and scrambled up a tree. Four bloodthirsty Vornskyrs attacked PERDU and managed to dislodge him from a tree. As the rest of the party arrived to help, PERDU killed the last one with a blaster shot to the head. Chased by more Vornskyrs, the party came to a woods clearing and made their stand there, killing the pursuing creatures. With more Vornskyrs heard howling in the woods, the party quickly returned to the house. As the rain intensified into a thunderstorm Emroc approached KES again about being paid for the Ult bounty she turned in under his name. After some sibling squabbling, Emroc successfully played his last card and tempted KES into payment with information about a being named Blu who had been seen aboard the Wheel space station in the Vapor Scream Cantina. When Sinta entered the central room to announce that dinner was ready, all hell broke loose. Emroc was shot in the chest by a disruptor rifle, an explosion outside plunged the house into darkness, and armor piercing grenades dropped from the skylight. Emroc and KES appeared to be the targets. Amid the chaos, KA’EL bolted for the roof ladder to help combat the threat there, PERDU unleashed his dual blasters, KES fired explosive-tipped arrows, and CHAR rendered immediate medical attention to Emroc to keep him from dying. After Sinta downed the last enemy, it was determined that a trio of black and gold clad Mandalorians from Clan Varad were responsible for the attack. While surveying the destruction of flooring and couches in the central room, the sound of rapid footfalls were heard on the roof followed by howls. Sinta gave the party the choice to defend the central room or head outside and protect the bridge. The party opted for the bridge and fought off the first wave of Vornskyrs, but with an answering howl in the distance more appear on the way….
Session 23: 4/6/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. While defending the bridge from a second wave of Vornskrs, CHAR and PERDU found that they were mysteriously cut off from the Force. Riding a hotwired military speederbike, KA’EL determined that two Vornskrs were holding Ysalamiri in their mouths and set about blasting the lizards and their canine carriers. As the battle intensified, an alpha black and red Vornskr entered the fray. CHAR managed to mightily bisect it with his lightsaber, but in the process he lost his footing and fell into the lake. Meanwhile, PERDU and KES fought the many Vornskrs leaping from the roofs or swimming across the lake. During the fight one Vornskr managed to savagely bite into PERDU’S thigh and held on even after PERDU blasted it. Later, a huge boulder aimed at CHAR narrowly missed him and crashed into the bridge. After the last Vornskr was killed, the party took a breather and surveyed their surroundings. KES spotted in the north tree line an enormous black Vornskr that seemed to be directing smaller Vornskrs. KES pointed the monster out to her companions then shot an arrow at the beast. It snarled and leaped from the shore all the way to the bridge. PERDU and especially KA’EL felt their blood go cold looking at the terrifying beast looming above them, drool dripping from its teeth, its thick black coat seeming to dim ambient light. The party then did an all-out attack on it and badly wounded the creature. KES was the closest to the thing and felt it try to sap the life-force out of her, but she resisted its power. The beast responded by leaping back to the north shore, turned and roared, then stumbled off into the woods, KES’ arrows pursuing it. Returning to the central room in the Clan Ordo house, the party was greeted with dead Vornkyrs littering the floor. Sinta asked CHAR to fix the generator and get main power back. CHAR discovered that the Clan Varad assault team blew up some underground cables, and he managed to do a temporary patch job in the rain, but a permanent fix would require parts from Hyllyard City in the morning. After the group reported back about the generator, PERDU endured some interrogation from Sinta about the Gank attack, the likelihood of the Gank returning, and how his “gifts” may bring unwanted attention. In the morning the cleanup of the house continued while KA’EL and CHAR headed by speederbike into the city. KA’EL negotiated deals for generator parts and a suit of used power armor. Returning to the Royal Gambit to receive the deliveries, it quickly became apparent that someone had broken into the ship. Cautiously boarding, CYRUS and GARN were nowhere to be found, and some small items seemed to be missing from the ship. Going into the cockpit, CHAR and KA’EL discovered that the consoles had been shot up, and an ominous message was written on a wall saying to come to Nar Shaddaa if you want your pack members back….
Session 24: 4/20/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Needing to fix the Royal Gambit’s blasted cockpit consoles, KA’EL headed back into Hyllyard City and negotiated a parts deal while CHAR guarded the ship and crafted armor. KES and PERDU caught up with KA’EL, and the three waited in a cantina for the parts delivery. At the bar KA’EL spoke with a fellow freighter captain and was warned about three tough looking beings sitting at a corner table. KES noticed that they had Frontier Expeditions Corporation patches on their clothes, and this prompted PERDU to follow the trio when they exited the cantina. Stalking the beings from a distance, PERDU gathered from snatched bits of conversation that they were associated with the SoroSuub Luxury Yacht parked near the Royal Gambit. Returning to the Royal Gambit with the needed parts, KA’EL, PERDU, and KES helped prep CHAR’S repair work. Over the next six hours CHAR worked tirelessly fixing the consoles in record time. Once finished, KA’EL fired up the engines and dropped KES and CHAR off at the Clan Ordo home. The ship then hovered in the Mrkyr sky awaiting their signal. After CHAR fixed the generator, KES and CHAR said their goodbyes to Sinta and Emroc. Much to KES’ discomfort, Emroc seemed amused about something. Breaking atmosphere above Mrkyr, the party was confronted with an Imperial corvette that immediately ordered them to power down their engines and prepare to be boarded. With lightning reflexes KA’EL swung the Royal Gambit in the opposite direction and pushed the engines to their limit. The move paid off, widening the distance between the capital ship and the freighter, and this allowed the navcomputer to finish a quick microjump calculation. As the Royal Gambit leapt into hyperspace, PERDU noticed from the dorsal turret that seemingly out of nowhere something tried to blast them. The party debated where to head next and ultimately decided to investigate the relatively close Shoola the Hutt coordinates and then head for Nar Shaddaa to rescue CYRUS and GARN from the Gank thugs. After two days in hyperspace, the party emerged into real space before a formidable looking asteroid field with a moon and planet on the other side. Not wanting to take the long way around, KA’EL took the YT-2400 boldly in and began dodging asteroids of various sizes. Soon after, a capital-ship-sized space slug began swimming towards the Royal Gambit, its massive jaws opened wide. KA’EL flew the ship along the creature’s enormous side while PERDU opened up on it with laser cannons. PERDU managed to get in two stinging shots, and the space slug reconsidered chasing the freighter, turning to go deeper into the asteroid field. Emerging from the asteroid field with some minor hull damage, the party investigated the uncharted planet and moon. CHAR’S sensor sweep detected encrypted com activity coming from somewhere on the moon’s surface. KA’EL brought the ship in closer to the moon, and KES’ sharp eyes saw a metal structure with antennae and a large dish. Coming in closer still, something moved on the structure, and a turret deployed. KA’EL immediately fled the moon but not before taking a damaging cannon shot in the ship’s aft. Guessing that the structure was an Imperial listening post, the party figured they had little time to stick around but wanted to at least take sensor readings of the planet. So, KA’EL did a low orbit flyby, and the sensors revealed a rocky desert-like surface with twisting stone-like trees and a primitive settlement with stone monoliths by a lake. Studying the readings, CHAR remembered a Clone Wars planet named Aleen that Master Gostan once spoke of. At this juncture, PERDU had a brief Force vision of large dark eyes and tittering female laugher. PERDU warned CHAR that something evil resided on the planet. Detecting a craft emerging from the moon, it was quickly decided to jump back into hyperspace and head to a relatively close space station orbiting the planet Ord Mantell. On Tansarii Point Station, the party hopes to repair hull damage and perhaps send a message to Shoola the Hutt….
Session 25: 5/4/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. During the two days on Tansarii Point Station the ship was repaired, credits were won playing sabacc, high end blaster rifles were loaded into the cargo hold, and a fake ship transponder was purchased. Also, Shoola the Hutt’s majordomo Sarra was contacted and given information about Aleen, 8K in credits, and the deed to the Black Star armor shop on Port Tooga including the inventory and droid. Mysteriously, Perdu left a brief note saying he was leaving the group to pursue a private matter. Intending to rescue Cyrus and Garn from the Gank thugs, the now Nebula’s Wake ended a weeklong hyperspace journey by approaching the Smuggler’s Moon known as Nar Shaddaa. With apprehension the crew noted that an Imperial Star Destroyer orbited the moon, but after answering a few questions from Nar Shaddaa control about their Cloud Express registration they were cleared to land. After unloading the blaster rifle cargo and exiting the ship, CHAR, KES, and KA’EL joined the mass of diverse beings exiting the spaceport. They soon became aware of a Nautolan and an eye-patched Human watching them and later following them. Once inside a cantina near the spaceport, the Nautolan approached the trio’s table and confided that he knew who they were and their purpose on Nar Shaddaa. ZUNN went on to explain that he is an employee of the Star Cluster Casino, not a fan of the Gank, and he would be willing to help them rescue their friends in exchange for passage off Nar Shaddaa. Meanwhile, KES received a strange message from Binary Bail Bonds asking for a status update on the acquisition of a sleemo Quarren named Xchantal. Later, the eye-patched Human seen at the spaceport ushered away a drunk Rodian bothering the table, and when the Human returned he introduced himself as BASCH and indicated that he too knew about the party’s purpose on Nar Shaddaa and wanted to help in order to get payback on the Gank. With aligned purposes, the five discussed how to infiltrate the Gank level of the Star Cluster Casino. Using ZUNN’S casino airspeeder and his knowledge of the building’s layout and defenses, the party entered the Gank lair through the garage. After disabling some speeder bikes and turrets, the group explored the area with the stealthy KES taking point. Meanwhile, CHAR used the Force to sense what rooms to avoid and to more quickly locate Cyrus and Garn. Venturing deep into the Gank’s lair, CHAR finally sensed Cyrus, but the smuggler’s presence seemed weak. After heroically bursting through a door to find an empty refresher, another nearby door was selected and sliced into. Inside was a large red-armored Gank with an intimidating rifle on his back. CHAR used the Force to try and yank the rifle away, but the Gank felt it move on his back and held it in place with his considerable strength. A fight began that ultimately involved a dozen Gank warriors. During the course of the fierce battle ZUNN, BASCH, and KES were hit, and the red-armored Gank was severely wounded by the combined efforts of CHAR, KES, and BASCH. As more Gank joined the fray, things began to look grim, but in a strange stroke of luck a blast door came down cutting off half the Gank from the fight. CHAR then convinced the red-armored leader to agree to a truce. However, the leader was not willing to part with Garn (who commed in saying he wanted to stay), but the leader allowed Cyrus to be accessed in the next room. Unfortunately, Cyrus by this time had died from apparent untreated beatings and torture. With sadness, KA’EL lifted the body off the bloody cot and carried the corpse to the garage while the rest of the group followed behind keenly feeling the silent stares of the armored Gank and watching that they kept their blaster rifles lowered. Once in the garage, the group all piled into the casino airspeeder and hastily exited. ZUNN encountered some surprising difficulty locking the garage door behind them, and in his frustration he accidently elbowed KA’EL in the ribs. As a result, the speeder took a steep dive towards oncoming traffic. KA’EL fought desperately to regain control of the vehicle, and at the last possible second he managed to level the speeder out and narrowly missed several oncoming airspeeders who honked and made obscene gestures. As things calmed down in the cramped space of the airspeeder, KA’EL voiced concerns about the Gank seeking revenge. CHAR tried to reassure the group and mentioned that some shopping was in order before deciding what to do with Cyrus’ body and pursuing KES’ bounty….
Session 26: 5/18/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. With the group deciding that the wisest course of action was to leave Nar Shaddaa immediately, KA’EL piloted the airspeeder to the starport. As if to confirm the wisdom of their choice, ZUNN received a threatening call from Red Mask ordering ZUNN to return to the casino, and CHAR received an encrypted message from Garn taking credit for the blast door save and warning that the Gank and Imperials were looking for them. Further, KES received a message from Sinta indicating that Clan Ordo had hid in a cave bunker because the Empire and a burnt man were looking for looking for KES’ group and had torn up the Clan Ordo home. Entering the hangar, the group saw a Kazellis-class freighter parked near their ship. Not seeing any threats in the hangar, the party quickly boarded the Nebula’s Wake and prepared to launch. BASCH stored the corpse of Cyrus in the freezer while ZUNN prepared calculations for a microjump and subsequent jump to the Wheel. KA’EL gave Nar Shaddaa a cursory notification of their departure and exited the starport and climbed for space. Upon breaking atmosphere amid all of the space traffic, six Tie fighters took immediate notice of the Nebula’s Wake and vectored towards the freighter. The instant the space lanes were cleared enough to jump, the Nebula’s Wake leapt into hyperspace. During the three and a half day journey to the Wheel, ZUNN and BASCH settled into their quarters and socialized with the crew. Meanwhile, CHAR examined his data pad and discovered it had been overwritten by a sophisticated Gree program. The program asked Char about his designation, purpose, the Jedi, and the Force, and it seemed to be processing CHAR’S responses. Exiting hyperspace before the enormous luxury space station known as the Wheel, KA’EL was confronted with the fact that in order to land you must prove that you have at least 10K in credits to spend. Also, Wheel control wanted to verify the Cloud Express package deliveries KA’EL claimed they had aboard. With the help of ZUNN transmitting some garbled delivery information and KES offering up proof of a healthy credit account, the Nebula’s Wake was cleared to land. While BASCH stayed aboard to guard the ship the rest of the group disembarked to purchase a credit cleaner and locate the Quarren bounty. Through a combination of shrewd negotiation at Tau Electronics with a Duros and luck with a visiting loudmouthed Gran merchant, a credit cleaner was purchased. Afterwards, some inquiries and a search of the station yielded the location of the Real Reef cantina, a watering hole the Quarren Xchantal is known to frequent. Upon learning that the entire cantina is underwater, a plan was devised that the Nautolan ZUNN and a suited up KA’EL would investigate the cantina while KES and CHAR kept watch over the turbolift and reception area. While ZUNN and KA’EL searched the busy cantina and encountered several wrong Quarren, CHAR hatched a plan to speed up the process. Pretending to be someone interested in opening a similar underwater club and wanting to see the security and safety features of the Real Reef, CHAR persuaded a Mon Calamari manager to let him see the back room monitoring station and have the technicians look for an “old friend” that may be in the cantina. Identifying the wanted Quarren to be in the dance room, CHAR communicated the news to ZUNN and KA’EL. Befriending Xchantal and his female companion Mayy, ZUNN and KA’EL pretended to have a hot gambling tip on an upcoming swoop bike race. Once lured outside the reception area, CHAR used the Force on the Quarren and rendered him unconscious. Unfortunately, this caused Xchantal to fall on his face and made his female companion run for help. After KES stepped in to cuff the Quarren she presented her bounty paperwork to the Real Reef’s Mon Cal manager. Seeing that everything was in order, KES was okayed to leave with the Quarren. Meanwhile, KA’EL comforted the distraught Mayy and offered to take her gambling. After turning in the bounty, KES and CHAR decided to head to the Vapor Scream Cantina for some much needed drinks. While there, CHAR visited the refresher and chanced upon an old rival of KES’ named Blu who was using a stall. Eventually, KES entered the refresher, kicked the stall door in, and punched Blu’s head against the stall wall. KES and CHAR then began stripping the Mandalorian of his armor and leaving the pieces all over the refresher. Meanwhile, KA’EL made some credits betting on the swop bike races, much to Mayy’s delight who got boisterous and later sleepy from too much drink. When Mayy fell asleep in a restaurant booth, KA’EL tossed some credits on the table and returned to the ship. After bribing two Wookiee bouncers to look the other way about the shenanigans in the refresher, KES and CHAR left an unconscious Blu seated on the refresher with only his helmet on….

Session 27: 6/1/2018  (1 Year Anniversary!)  A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Wanting to ship Cyrus’ body to his family on Naboo, the party headed to a funeral home to make arrangements. While passing through a market area KA’EL encountered members of the Red Maw Crew and an old partner named Jax who was performing sleight of hand tricks before an audience. Jax insisted that he and KA’EL had unfinished business, so Jax demanded KA’EL’S comm digits and warned KA’EL not to leave the station until they talked. At the Peaceful Passings funeral home, the group met with a handsome red-skinned male with a soothing voice named Colluc Allwai who asked a series of questions about the desired arrangements. CHAR indicated that Cyrus was to be shipped in a cryotank to Naboo, and a price was agreed upon. Peaceful Passings would pick up Cyrus’ body at the ship. Passing back through the market area, the lights overhead mysteriously flickered. Not seeing Jax, KA’EL elaborated to his companions that his old business partner tried to screw over a village that needed a medicine delivery by selling the medicine to the Red Maw Crew instead. KA’EL elected to honor the deal with the village and left Jax and members of the Red Maw Crew marooned on the planet. Curious if there was a bounty on Jax, the group prompted KES to check the bounty listings. There were no bounties listed for Jax, but KES discovered that there were wanted dead or alive bounties on the entire crew for 10K credits each with ZUNN having a bounty on him for 20K. Few additional details were available except that the bounties were to be turned in at the Star Cluster Casino on Nar Shaddaa. KES urged everyone to make haste back to the ship. Once aboard the Nebula’s Wake, KES shared the bounty news and expressed frustration that her reputation and livelihood as a bounty hunter had been taken. The party decided that the safest course would be to leave the Wheel and head to the mostly water planet Dellalt where (at ZUNN’s prompting) BASCH indicated that he had a contact with the Rebel Alliance. While KA’EL warmed up the ship, KES and CHAR placed a long-distance call to Cyrus’ mother on Naboo. KES broke the sad news to a choked-up Galla about Cyrus. When Galla broached the subject about ownership of the ship that she bought for Cyrus many years ago, KES was at a loss how to respond. CHAR stepped in and discussed the matter, and it was left that Galla would think it over more and contact them when she is not in the throes of grief. After Peaceful Passings picked up Cyrus’ body, KA’EL made a minor slip up with Wheel control as to the name of the ship, but he managed to smooth things over. The Nebula’s Wake then left the Wheel and made a microjump into hyperspace. Emerging back into normal space, the crew noticed that the ship was behaving strangely. Lights flickered, and the navcomputer seemed to have a tracking bug and registered strange readings. Suspecting the Gree data pad may be to blame, CHAR and ZUNN communicated with it and learned that the advanced program had interfaced with the ship’s systems, wished to “grow,” and likely had interfaced with the Wheel’s systems. Jumping back into hyperspace for Dellalt, it became immediately apparent to ZUNN, KA’EL, and the rest of the crew that the ship was not heading to Dellalt. The ship felt like it had turned and seemed to be racing through some sort of swirling reddish hyperspace. Some of the group began to panic, but CHAR reassured them that the Gree program would not jeopardize the ship’s safety for reasons of self-preservation, and it would be best to just let the Gree program return “home” rather than risk a confrontation with it. After a two day journey through the reddish hyperspace, the Nebula’s Wake emerged into a distant and completely unknown area of the Outer Rim. Still under control of the Gree program, the ship headed for a particular planet in the system and entered its atmosphere. KA’EL was relieved that control of the ship was given back to him at this point, so after consulting with the others and scanning the planet, it was decided to land near a powerful and bright energy source on the otherwise seemingly empty swamp and rock world. Disembarking from the ship, it was decided to hike towards the energy source that was overwhelming the sensors. KES took the lead and scouted stealthily ahead. After passing through a narrow ravine, KES shielded her visored eyes and looked at a gigantic piece of utterly alien technology coursing with swirling energy at its center and making a low humming sound. Relaying this information back to the group as best she could, the rest of the party passed through the ravine and stood next to KES looking up at the alien technology. CHAR consulted with the Gree data pad, and it indicated that the party should go up what looked like a ramp and go to a console area with strange holographic symbols that CHAR and KES recognized from a previous encounter as Gree. Once the group was in front of the console area, the humming sound was much louder and a gravitational pull could be felt towards the swirling vortex above. CHAR consulted with the data pad again and was given very specific instructions as to where and how the data pad should be placed on the console. With a look at the group, CHAR said, “Here we go,” and placed the data pad on the console….
Session 28: 6/15/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After CHAR placed the data pad on the console, the holographic display monitors brightened and strange symbols rapidly streamed. Soon after, a dark shape could be seen on one of the displays and appeared to be studying the party. Attempts to communicate with the shape failed, and the shape disappeared. Shortly thereafter, a flashing word in Basic appeared on the screen that said, “RUN.” Heeding this warning, the group started down the ramp when the energy in the gate increased and something large emerged and unfolded, slamming thunderously down against the metal floor. A giant droid of unknown design with tripod legs and massive arms made ominous sounds and activated its weapons systems. In response, the party scattered for cover. BASCH opened up on the droid with his rifle, but he lost his footing and fell into the swampy muck. The droid surged forward with surprising speed and opened fire with its arm cannons, but luckily they missed the prone BASCH. KA’EL began taking shots with his blaster pistol while KES and CHAR went toe-to-toe with the droid hacking into it with vibrosword and dual lightsabers. Meanwhile, ZUNN raced back up the ramp and tried to interface with the alien console. After some frustration, ZUNN managed to get limited access and got the gate portal to close halfway to prevent the possibility of more enemies coming through. During the fight the droid swung its massive arms, deployed a flame thrower, and dropped armor piercing grenades. CHAR tried to lift the droid with the Force, but it proved to be too heavy. After the party’s combined efforts considerably damaged the droid, CHAR gathered his strength and with a leap he epically sliced the giant droid in half. In the aftermath KA’EL and CHAR salvaged some valuable items from the droid’s smoking ruins. Meanwhile, ZUNN’S interface with the console yielded some helpful astrogation information about this region of space including the likely location the droid came from. Noticing that the gateway had changed color and was swirling in a different pattern, the party decided to quickly return to the ship. While scouting ahead, the stealthy KES almost ran into a foraging canine-sized ant. After KES backed away and communicated the news to the rest of the group, BASCH saw movement to the west and heard multiple chittering sounds. In response, the party gave that area a wide berth and continued moving through the swampy terrain as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, the ant that KES almost encountered spotted the party, and it seemed to be communicating the news back to other ants who then swarmed towards the group. During their haste to make it the rest of the way back to the ship a few of the party members got stuck in the muck and had to be lifted out, courtesy of CHAR and the Force. After KES and BASCH discouraged the advancing ants with the ship’s turrets, KA’EL piloted the ship into the sky. Almost immediately the ship’s sensors picked up a capital-sized ship of unknown design heading towards the planet. Quickly conferring with the crew, KA’EL decided to drop the ship rapidly back down to the surface and cut all power so as to hide their presence. Once accomplished, a few of the party passed a pair of electrobinoculars back and forth and watched the advancing ship. The ship was a massive disc-shaped ship more than three miles long with what looked like on top a skyline of strange, twisting skyscrapers. CHAR remembered spacer legends of a ship fitting this description. Ships that got too close were never seen again. The party decided that their best course of action would be to flee in the opposite direction of the strange ship as fast as possible. KA’EL did a cold start of the ship and gunned the engines to their absolute limit resulting in an insane streak off the planet. Once free of the planet, ZUNN used his completed astrogation calculations of the mysterious coordinates where the giant droid was believed to have come from, and the Nebula’s Wake leapt into hyperspace. After about a day’s journey, the freighter reverted back into normal space and found itself near a planet with a fleet of strange capital ships and what looked like smaller starfighters. Not liking the looks of any of this, the Nebula’s Wake sped away and as soon as possible leapt back into hyperspace, this time for the planet Dellalt. While journeying for a week in hyperspace CHAR continued crafting, and ZUNN managed to create a new ship transponder naming the ship the Star of Kala’Un registered out of Zeltros that specializes in party planning and has a celebrity singer aboard. Emerging from hyperspace in the Dellalt system, the Star of Kala’Un received clearance to touch down on the mostly water world in the capital called Vault City. After KA’EL spoke with a Vault City customs official, the thoughts of the party turn to finding BASCH’S contact with the Rebel Alliance….
Session 29: 6/29/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Upon exiting the Dellalt starport, CHAR and KES were approached by an irate human who wanted to know where his shipment of green seaweed was and thrust a purchase order at them.  Not sure how to respond, CHAR took the flimsiplast and said they would look into it.  Once back at the ship, ZUNN and KA’EL did some research, and then the party visited the man’s hangar to confirm theories.  It turned out that the legitimate businessman mistook CHAR and KES for being members of Clan Varad who apparently have a dock on Dellalt and sell an expensive variety of seaweed.  Meanwhile, BASCH sent a coded message to his Dellalt Rebel Alliance contact and waited to hear back while guarding the ship.  With the issue about the seaweed clearer, the party decided to head to the likely Alliance meeting spot.  Taking public transportation to the end of the line in a seedy area of Vault Clity, the group then walked the rest of the way.  Soon after, three members of a swoop bike gang sped aggressively towards the party, so CHAR used the Force and hurled a landspeeder at them.  This act unintentionally crushed two of the gang members and left the third staring at the carnage in shock.  ZUNN tried to loudly cover up the public incident as a repulsor lift malfunction while KA’EL gave CHAR a disapproving look.  The group quickly continued their course north. BASCH commed that he received acknowledgement about his coded message.  A few minutes later a beeping mouse droid approached the party and seemed to want the group to follow it.   Complying, they followed the droid into an alley where a silver protocol droid politely greeted them and led them to the Seaglass Cantina.  Once inside, KA’EL separated from the group to scratch a gambling itch while the rest of party sipped on their drinks and waited.  Meanwhile, KES had noticed a group of teenagers shadowing the party as they approached the cantina, so she stealthed her way to the other side of an alley to sneak up on them.  The teenagers were talking about the landspeeder incident, so KES revealed herself right next to them and scared the poodoo out of them.  She then convinced them to forget what they saw and scram.  Satisfied with her work, KES entered the cantina and rejoined the rest of the party. Soon after, a Wookiee female approached the table and sat down and began speaking in Shyriiwook that was translated by the protocol droid.  The Wookiee inquired about BASCH’S whereabouts, so BASCH was commed to come to the cantina.  During the course of the conversation with Gawlu, BASCH handed over some intel about Nar Shaddaa, CHAR revealed that he had special gifts, and arrangements were made to put the party in touch with a more legitimate segment of the Alliance which resulted later in getting space coordinates for an empty area outside Hutt space and a coded way to communicate a meeting time. After returning to the Star of Kala’Un, the party prepared for bed and decided on a watch schedule.  CHAR reminded ZUNN of the detected surveillance bug in the navcomputer, so the two of them worked on carefully extracting and examining it.  The bug was successfully removed, and it was learned that it periodically transmitted space coordinates and had been installed nearly two months ago when the ship was on Port Tooga.  At KA’EL’S prompting ZUNN tried diagnostic tests to learn the likely manufacturer of the tech when he triggered a self-destruct protocol that exploded the item into ash and knocked ZUNN against the cockpit’s bulkhead.  Collecting his woozy self, ZUNN headed to bed, and the watch schedule began.  During CHAR’S watch he meditated and received from the Force a subtle, uneasy feeling that something troubling elsewhere in the galaxy was transpiring.  During KA’EL’s watch he researched possible cargo hauls and learned that the expensive green seaweed all comes from the Clan Varad dock.  During KES’ watch she contemplated revenge on Clan Varad for the attack on her home and brother. In the morning KA’EL shared his findings about the green seaweed and Clan Varad.  A plan was hatched between KA’EL and KES to use the cover story of the ship and KES being a celebrity singer to give her a makeover and perhaps do some undercover recon on Clan Varad.  KA’EL contacted a local company and made arrangements to have a makeover team visit the ship.  At this point KES’ commlink chimed that it had a message waiting.  Getting into the role of being a diva, KES had her promoter KA’EL check the message for her.  KA’EL read the message and his eyes widened.  He handed the commlink to KES and immediately fired up the ship, requested an emergency priority departure, and cancelled the makeover team’s visit.  KES and the rest of the crew huddled around her commlink and watched a short holovid of a dark-clan man with chilling eyes and burned flesh that taunted KES to return home and try and rescue her mother and brother before the dark-clan man becomes bored. At this, the rest of the crew leapt into action.  However, BASCH indicated shyly that he just received orders for a mission and needed to stay behind.  Frustrated that BASCH wouldn’t be coming along when additional firepower would be sorely needed, KA’EL tried to convince BASCH to leave his big rifle with them, but BASCH declined.  However, he did agree to hand over his laminate armor for the cause and began stripping it off.  Impatient to immediately leave Dellalt, KES practically shoved BASCH off the ship. After transferring the credits for an emergency departure, the Star of Kala’Un rocketed out of the atmosphere and into space.  ZUNN completed his astrogation calculations for a trip directly to Myrkr and the ship leapt into hyperspace….
Session 30: 7/13/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. During a six-day journey in hyperspace tactics were discussed on how to best approach the Clan Ordo bunker where it was believed KES’ mother and brother were held.  Emerging into real space in the Myrkr system, the party was relieved to find that no Imperial ships orbited the planet.  Wanting to keep a low profile, it was decided to touchdown on a landing platform outside of Hyllyard City rather than do a recon flight over the Ordo home and bunker. After exiting the Royal Gambit and heading into Hyllyard City, four speeder bikes were procured.  CHAR did some additional shopping and noted fearful glances from the locals.  Relaying this news to the rest of the party, it was decided to head out on the speeder bikes immediately. Arriving on the outskirts of the Ordo home and scanning it with electrobinoculars, the group determined that a great battle had taken place that included the deployment of the Ordo perimeter defenses and enemy air support.  Investigating the smoking ruins of the boathouse and main house, the interiors looked looted and six charred Mandalorian corpses were found.  KES performed the scant Mandalorian death rites on the fallen warriors.  Turning their attention to the Ordo bunker, the party debated again how best to approach the bunker and whether to approach together or split into two groups to enter both the front cave entrance and the back powerplant entrance.  It was decided to approach the bunker valley from the south as one group to gather more intel.  Leaving the speeder bikes about a mile away and traveling on foot through the dense forest and over rocky ground, the group stopped a couple hundred yards from the cave’s entrance but could see little due to the trees.  KA’EL indicated that he had a bad feeling about all of this.  KES scouted ahead and took up a position near the cave’s entrance and signaled the group forward to her position.  CHAR went first followed by KA’EL.  ZUNN remembered his scanning and jamming equipment and began scanning the area for electromagnetic signals.  As he moved north he discovered a broadcast signal emanating from a large tree.  Expertly jamming the signal and spoofing it so that it would appear to be malfunctioning, he continued north to home in on the signal.   Suddenly, descending from the upper branches of the tree was a dark shape emitting encrypted binary beeps.  An Imperial Viper Probe Droid!  Zunn fired off a damaging shot with his blaster pistol and retreated.  During the ensuing battle a second probe droid appeared, CHAR used the Force to fling one probe droid into the other, and KES got the killing shots on the droids. Figuring that the element of surprise was over, the group began pulling back when two sniper shots targeted KES.  The first hit her in the shoulder, but the second went high and started a small avalanche of rocks on the cliff face behind her.  At this, the party dashed into the relative safety of the cave.  KA’EL commented that it feels like they are being herded exactly where the enemy wants them. After the group peeked into the illuminated bunker and saw no one, CHAR used the Force and brought the cave ceiling down to block the cave entrance.  With just one way forward now, the party began exploring the Ordo bunker with KES stealthing ahead and CHAR using the Force to detect nearby lifeforms.  Finding only empty rooms, the group fanned out and penetrated deeper into the bunker.  ZUNN got a little ahead of the group and tripped a trap that arced electricity into his body and made him scream.  KA’EL then rounded a corner and spotted a Gank in the hallway and fired off a damaging shot before dashing to safety.  Seeing that the Gank did not pursue and the bunker was once again quiet, KES crept up to a doorway and peeked inside but saw only empty hallways.  However, CHAR could feel four presences near KES’ position. While the group held their positions ZUNN went to work on a badly damaged security console and managed to connect with the system through exposed wires that gave him a mild shock.  Hurriedly looking through the sliced options, ZUNN disabled all the shock traps, and he looked through the available video surveillance and saw a room with four Gank ducking behind cover as well as a dim and empty hallway that’s part of the power generator’s back entrance.  Needing an edge in the upcoming fight, ZUNN killed all the lights and plunged the bunker into darkness….

Session 31: 8/10/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. A battle erupted in the Ordo bunker with three squads of Storm Troopers, four Gank, two Scout Troopers, and one Death Trooper.  The enemies used knockout grenades and the stun setting on their blaster rifles.  They seemed mainly focused on downing CHAR.  During the course of the fight ZUNN warred with a rival slicer over control of the bunker.  ZUNN managed to lock out the slicer from the bunker, but as a parting gift ZUNN was locked inside the security room until CHAR ripped the door off with the Force. KES took several stun shots during the fray and was knocked out.  With the odds stacked against them and wanting to protect KES, KA’EL stood over the unconscious Mandalorian and tried brokering with two Scout Troopers a surrender.  However, CHAR was reluctant to give up.  At this point KES came to and in a surprise move leapt to her feet and downed a Scout Trooper.  This heralded a change in fortune and tipped the scales of the battle in the party’s favor which solidified more when CHAR brought part of the bunker’s ceiling down on the Death Trooper and the remaining Gank, thus temporarily cutting them off from participating in the battle.  The remaining Scout Trooper ran off through a door and into the vault. When there was a lull in the fight a surviving Storm Trooper was taken captive and questioned.  The party gathered that the black-clad man had engineered the bunker fight, the Drall slicer Garn was involved, and that Sinta and Emroc were likely not in the bunker.  The Storm Trooper was then bound and deposited on a couch as the party turned their attention to the vault room.  CHAR sensed a void in the Force in that room. With the combined efforts of KA’EL and ZUNN, the two vault doors were opened.  Inside behind cover were the remaining Scout Trooper, the last Gank, the Death Trooper, and a Ysalamiri lizard.  Knockout grenades were hurled at CHAR, but the close quarters of the vault, lizard droppings, and CHAR’s dodging caused all three grenades to miss with one of the grenades inadvertently knocking out the Ysalamiri and another damaging a carbonite slab with an armored human frozen in it.   During this final phase in the battle KA’EL tried leaping on the back of the Death Trooper but landed on a crate instead, ZUNN stabilized the being in the carbonite slab, and CHAR and KES carved up the enemy with lightsaber and vibrosword with KES slicing off the left arm of the Death Trooper and spraying blood into KA’EL’S eyes and causing the smuggler to fall from the crate to the floor. In the aftermath of the battle, the surviving Scout Trooper was taken captive and questioned.  He corroborated the intel from the earlier Storm Trooper who was now missing.  KES seemed to recognize the being frozen in carbonite and advocated killing him for his past deeds and being dar’manda, but KA’EL disagreed and advocated instead taking the carbonite slab with them and began hunting for an antigrav sled.  CHAR meanwhile explored the rest of the bunker and found it empty but was intrigued by an oversized holoprojector parked prominently in the storage room and requested that ZUNN come look at it. As CHAR waited for ZUNN to come to the storage room and KA’EL examined an antigrav sled stored in the room, the oversized holoprojector began to power up and crackle to life….

Session 32: 8/24/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. The raspy-voiced burned man spoke with CHAR and KA’EL over the holoprojector and threated to destroy Hyllyard City if the party didn’t surrender within 2.5 standard hours.  CHAR expressed skepticism about the proposal.  In response, the Clan Ordo home was destroyed by turbolasers and TIE bombers.  CHAR was unswayed by the act and noncommittal about the proposal due to having other ideas.  Soon after, the burned man ended the holocommunication. With the clock ticking, CHAR asked ZUNN to slice into the holoprojector to allow CHAR to place an outbound call to Hyllyard City.  CHAR contacted the armor vendor and warned her to begin evacuating the city and have citizens come to the Clan Ordo bunker coordinates for shelter.  A series of similar calls were placed by ZUNN while CHAR searched the rest of the Ordo bunker and marched two hiding Imperial troopers down into the power generator level. Meanwhile, KES debated what to do about the man frozen in carbonite.  When KA’EL and CHAR informed her about the threat to Hyllyard City she reluctantly thawed the man figuring that another warrior would be useful.  Immediately after being thawed, the man leapt at KES like a wild animal.  In response, KES punched him in the temple and knocked him flat.  This seemed to sober the man up from his carbonite sickness and reluctant introductions were made by KES.  KES’ Mandalorian father, Rasi Pur, explained that he had come to Myrkr to help when he heard about the Imperial troubles.  Upon arriving at the Clan Ordo home, Sinta had him knocked out then frozen in carbonite.  Noting KES’ continued contempt for him, Rasi hinted that Sinta had not told the entire truth about him. After KES gave Rasi a blaster rifle and KA’EL caged the stunned Ysalamir for transport, the group followed CHAR down into the power generator level.  While they walked Rasi was brought up to speed about the Imperial predicament.  Suddenly, two Imperial Probe Droids attacked.  During the fray a blaster bolt inadvertently reflected off of CHAR’S lightsaber and killed a trooper prisoner.  After downing the droids, the group exited out into the Myrkr night, and the remaining trooper was released to the winds. Having thought about the Imperial situation, Rasi mentioned that a powerful smuggler named Talon Karrde has a base on Myrkr and owes him a favor.  After some discussion, the group rode the speeder bikes to the smuggler’s base.  Once there, KA’EL took over the negotiations from Rasi and agreed to do two cargo hauls (one to Trigalis) and hand over temporarily the Royal Gambit’s access codes as collateral in exchange for borrowing a ship, Karrde’s ships distracting the Imperials, and helping to evacuate Hyllyard City.  Four ships lifted off from Myrkr and rocketed towards space.  While Karrde’s ships distracted the TIE fighters and modified corvette, KA’EL pulled off an amazing piloting feat and landed delicately on the Sunder’s ventral starboard hull over an access hatch.  CHAR then used a lightsaber to cut through the hatch. Once inside the Sunder, KES stealthed ahead and eventually led the party to a turbolift and deck two where an Imperial officer was subdued in his quarters.  Using the officer’s computer and codes, ZUNN determined that Emroc and Sinta were not being held in the deck two detention center but instead where held on deck three near the medbay in a quarantine room. After taking the turoblift up to deck three, the party split into two groups.  Imperial officer KA’EL and his prisoner ZUNN went to the quarantine room to rescue KES’ family while CHAR, KES, and Rasi headed towards the bridge.  Entering the quarantine room, KA’EL and ZUNN were confronted by a torture droid requesting a password.  Not having the password, KA’EL and ZUNN both blasted the droid and then freed Emroc and Sinta who looked very malnourished, bruised, scarred.  Meanwhile, the other group surprised an Imperial technician in a hallway, and CHAR choked him with the Force into unconsciousness and left the sprawled Imperial in the hallway.  While KA’EL and ZUNN led Emroc and Sinta out of the quarantine room, CHAR, KES, and Rasi approached the door to the bridge.  On the other side of the door, CHAR sensed a powerful disturbing presence….
Session 33: 9/7/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. After administering stimpacks to Emroc and Sinta, KA’EL and ZUNN led the two Mandalorians out of the quarantine room when suddenly blast doors slammed down around them and green gas emitted from the walls.  Similarly, the group containing CHAR, KES, and Rasi approached the door to the bridge when suddenly blast doors slammed down around them and green gas hissed.  The members of the two groups resisted the initial anesthetizing gas effects, but Sinta nearly collapsed.  Acting quickly, CHAR used the Force to crush the gas nozzles then blew a hole in a blast door.  He then ran down the hallway and ripped an opening into a blast door that trapped KA’EL and ZUNN’S group. As the gas began to dissipate, claxons blared throughout the ship and soon Navy Troopers and technicians rushed into the hallway and opened fire.  A Stormtrooper sergeant soon joined the battle, but his blaster rifled malfunctioned and exploded in his hands, knocking him prone.  KES’ subsequent decapitation of a Death Trooper convinced the sergeant to stay down.  Meanwhile, KA’EL helped Sinta to the turbolift, and ZUNN managed to unlock the turbolift.  Right after CHAR entered the turbolift and stepped off to the side to avoid blaster fire, a terrifying being leapt into the middle of the hallway with a fiery-red double-bladed lightsaber and yellow blazing eyes.  Seeing KA’EL and ZUNN about to enter the turbolift, the Inquisitor rasped out, “ Where do you think you’re going ?”  With a wave of his black armored glove, KA’EL and ZUNN were yanked through the air and slammed to the floor.  KA’EL pretended to be unconscious while he thought about strategy.  CHAR surged forward and initiated a dizzying lightsaber duel with the Inquisitor.  During the duel, another Death Trooper appeared and opened fire on ZUNN, wounding him into unconsciousness.  Seeing ZUNN go down, KA’EL gambled on running south through a barracks and circled around the lightsaber duel to try and help ZUNN.  KES moved to attack the new Death Trooper, but she had to pass near the Inquisitor who stepped back from CHAR’S lightsaber onslaught and thrust his armored hand towards KES’ head.  KES immediately went into a rage, convinced that CHAR had called her dar’manda.  At the next opportunity, she planned to hack into CHAR for the insult. With the battle becoming more desperate, the Imperial ship Sunder shuddered with what felt like the ship’s turbolasers firing….
Session 34: 9/21/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Judging from the shuddering of the Imperial ship, KA’EL hypothesized that the Sunder had unleashed its turbolasers upon Hyllyard City.  Meanwhile, under the influence of Inquistor Serrah and convinced that CHAR had called her dar’manda, KES hacked at CHAR with her vibroblade but thankfully missed and came to her senses.  The Mandalorian then divided her vibroblade’s attention between the Inquistor and a Death Trooper. CHAR continued his lightsaber duel with Serrah and slowly scored hits that penetrated the black armor.  During the clash the Inquisitor rasped that, “ All this death could have been avoided if you had just turned yourselves in.  You should join me.  Save your friends .”  Soon after, the Inquistor’s lightsaber connected awkwardly with CHAR’S cortosis armor and temporarily extinguished.  Naval Trooper reinforcements burst upon the scene from a side passage and began firing.  An Imperial officer and a now less frightened Stormtrooper sergeant also fired down the hall.  Seeing the reinforcements and urging CHAR and KES to follow them, ZUNN and KA’EL led Sinta and Emroc into the turbolift and prepared to descend, but the Inquisitor made an acrobatic leap towards the turbolift and with a wave of his armored glove damaged the turbolift door so that it wouldn’t close.  Observing a blastdoor in front of the Imperial reinforcements, CHAR reached out with the Force and pulled the blastdoor down with a thud, severing the reinforcements from attacking.    KA’EL and ZUNN looked for other avenues of escape and tried first the turbolift ceiling hatch and then the more promising floor hatch.  ZUNN, Sinta, and Emroc tried either climbing down the turbolift cable or leaping for the metal ladder.  The Inquisitor failed to telekinetically retrieve any of them from the shaft, so he went in after them until CHAR telekinetically retrieved Serrah from the turbolift shaft.  CHAR, KES, and Rasi continued to fight Serrah and the Death Trooper as they made their way towards the turbolift.  Their teamwork wore Serrah down, and with a deft stroke CHAR decapitated the Inquistor. At this point in the turbolift shaft, ZUNN, Sinta, and Emroc were either hanging upside down or slowly sliding down a wall towards their deaths.  The combined efforts of KA’El, KES, Rasi, and CHAR saved the lives of the other three, and all seven made it safely down to the bottom third level of the turbolift shaft.  However, Sinta was unconscious.  KA’EL managed to get the turbolift door open and ventured tentatively into the hallway.  He heard in the distance the sound of running boots growing louder.  Meanwhile, at the top of the elevator shaft, light and movement could be seen….
Session 34 - Final Session: 9/21/2018 A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Eluding more Naval Troopers and a persistent Stormtrooper sergeant, the party boarded the loaned freighter to discover Stormtroopers blocking the ship’s hallways and demanding surrender.  KES, CHAR, and Rasi made short and messy work of the troopers while KA’EL crawled through a tight maintenance passage towards the cockpit and discovered the acrid smell of smoke.  Relaying this information, CHAR and ZUNN examined the ship and discovered a hole had been blasted into an engine section and a bomb wedged inside. While CHAR carefully disarmed the bomb and repaired the engine a group of Imperial technicians tried cutting into the boarding ramp door with a blowtorch.  The party quickly lowered the boarding ramp causing the Imperials to scatter and tossed a well-aimed grenade that killed the techs. The moment the engine was repaired, KA’EL detached from the Sunder and pushed the Dazzler to its limits rocketing away from the capital ship and three pursuing TIE fighters.  KA’EL managed to keep the TIES from closing into firing range while ZUNN calculated an urgent microjump.  Meanwhile, the Sunder came around and calculated a firing solution with a heavy turoblaser that blasted jarring damage into the Dazzler’s aft.  Right after the massive green energy struck the dodging freighter, the ship leapt into hyperspace and escaped….   Epilogue During the subsequent months the party reconnected with the smuggler baron Talon Karrde, got their ship back from him, and completed the three promised cargo hauls as well as two extra to help offset Karrde’s loss of a crew and starship during the space battle over Myrkr.  The most harrowing of these cargo hauls involved delivering several crates of thermal detonators to the Xist Reavers on the planet Trigalis that have known ties to Black Sun.  The party balked at delivering such dangerous explosives to murderous criminals, but Karrde insisted. On the plus side, Karrde decided to assist the Rebel Alliance with supply deliveries at a cut rate. While on Trigalis Ka’el payed a visit to the Toydarian named Shoobo and got some payback for the merchant selling him such a shoddy Y-wing that crashed and nearly killed him.  A few months after that Ka’el chanced upon Jax Zandro and members of the Red Maw Crew again, but Ka’el managed to fast talk and fast fly out of their reach yet again. Using the contact information the Wookiee Gawlu provided the party, Char contacted the Rebel Alliance and convinced them to use the planet Arbra as a future secret base.  He also convinced the Alliance to send any identified Force sensitives to the planet so that Master Gostan and Char could train them.  Eventually, several younglings were sent to Arbra to begin their training.  To toast the occasion, Master Gostan uncorked a new and even more potent and nasty tasting beverage. With Clan Ordo weakened by the attacks on Myrkr and seeking payback on the Empire, Sinta brokered an alliance between the Rebel Alliance, Clan Ordo, and Clan Bralor.  The Mandalorians would provide special forces support and training.  Still not accepted back into Clan Ordo after helping rescue Sinta and Emroc, Rasi elected to officially join the Rebel Alliance as a raw recruit instructor.  Upon learning that Blu was one of the snipers shooting at Kes and her friends on Myrkr, Emroc began a systematic hunt for the dishonorable Mandalorian, but Blu always seemed to stay one step ahead of Emroc.  Kes for her part led a Clan Ordo attack with Lanx on the water world of Dellalt and significantly thinned Clan Varad’s numbers.  Clan Ordo then took over the green seaweed shipping business and discovered that the plant had mild healing properties.  Zunn continued to be pursued by bounty hunters thanks to Red Mask and the Gank.  This made staying in one place for too long very dangerous.  After Ka’el and Zunn respectfully declined Kes’ offer for them to join Clan Ordo, the duo decided to form a partnership and continue gallivanting across the stars doing legal cargo hauls, relief supply deliveries, some smuggling, and periodically lending a hand to the Rebel Alliance.  Eventually a deal was reached with Vez’s family that Ka’el and Zunn could keep the Royal Gambit and legally own it provided that they sent a monthly percentage of their earnings home to Galla and Olsa on Naboo.  During the years that followed, Zunn was certain that he pitted his slicing talents against the pesky Drall named Garn.  By Zunn’s reckoning, Garn bested him twice while Zunn bested him three times. For a time after their run-in with Inquisitor Serrah and the crew of the Sunder, Char, Kes, Ka’el, and Zunn couldn’t go near an Imperial controlled world.  Eventually though after some close calls and employing techniques taught to them by Rebel Intelligence, Imperial interest in the group died down and it was only Char that had to look over his shoulder regularly.  Word eventually reached the four that many of the survivors of the Imperial bombardment of Hyllyard City had enlisted in the Rebel Alliance.
