Dynamic lighting & open character sheets question

I have set up tokens in my game that are linked to the players' character sheets. So, when I change the green HP bar on the token, the HP on the sheet changes, too. These tokens have vision settings for dynamic lighting based on the character's use of darkvision. My group wants "open character sheets" that can be seen by everyone so I have set Can be edited by on the sheets to all players. Here is my dilemma ... now all the players can see the darkvision of every PC token. Players without darkvision can see thanks to the darkvision of the neighboring character's token. Everything works fine if I unlink the tokens from the sheets and set permissions for the tokens but I really prefer them linked. Is there a way of maintaining open character sheets that are linked to tokens but still limit who can use the token's vision?

A work around that I used a few times is to have two sheets. One linked to the token and is for that specific player, a copy of the sheet that is open to everyone but has no token (I've even used a second token but with no vision set in a corner of the board so that people can shift click and such to open the sheet up quickly if wanted).
