Roll in Spell description.

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section, this seemed to be the section that most lined up with my query. I was in a group a while back and I remember we had it set up in such a way that we could see the roll results in our spell descriptions. So if the spell description says 1st-level conjuration Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: S, M (a drop of water or piece of ice) Duration: Instantaneous You create a shard of ice and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 piercing damage. Hit or miss, the shard then explodes. The target and each creature within 5 feet of the point where the ice exploded must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 cold damage. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the cold damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above first. It would instead say: 1st-level conjuration Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: S, M (a drop of water or piece of ice) Duration: Instantaneous You create a shard of ice and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 8 piercing damage. Hit or miss, the shard then explodes. The target and each creature within 5 feet of the point where the ice exploded must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 9 cold damage. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the cold damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above first. Basically it would calculate the rolls inside the text of the spell description. I really enjoyed it this way as it was more stylish.  If you can please help let me know.

Try adding inline rolls to your descriptions.  So if the normal description says "does 1d10 of fire damage", try changing it to "does [[1d10]] of fire damage"
That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Is there a way to set it up where current ability scores, modifiers, and spell save dc's show up and are incorporated into it? Imagine if the spell says: "Creature makes a dex save vs your spell casting modifier, on a failed save the creature takes 1d8 plus your spell casting modifier." Is there a way to write it so that it shows up as: "Creature makes a dex save vs (19), on a failed save the creature takes ((roll result) + 5)." I would assume that each ability score has key words such as CHAR_MOD which will substitute in the sheet's current scores. Once again thank you for your help :)

Your assumption is correct.  Use an attribute's name in order to substitute it's value.  example "Attack: [[ 1d20 + @{DEX-mod} ]] Damage: [[ 1d6+ @{STR-mod} ]] "  You are really just making a macro (roll) within the descriptive text.  You will need to learn the name of the various attribute's you wish to use.  Some sheets provide that with a simple mouse-over (using title text).  You can often right-click and use inspect element or similar to view the html and learn the name for various fields/attributes used on a sheet.
Thank you once again, and to be honest I've never actually made macro rolls, this is all pretty new to me.

Macros used to be all the rage.  ;-) Many of the sheets have gotten very good at making macros nearly obsolete.  It's cool that you can still insert some custom rolls and such as needed within a sheet's roll without needing to make macros from scratch. Have fun.
