[DnD5e] Looking for two players for group

Game starts at 7pm eastern time every Thursday Over the last year and a half my group has lost a few members and we are finally deciding that we want to have a full group of friends to play role-playing games with again. We have two different DMs who tell two different stories. We normally focus on one campaign and switch off which college or work has put the current DM in a position where we can not plan an entire game. We also have two other great friends who enjoy just being players. I normally focus my games on a good mix between combat or roleplaying. I enjoy good twists or epic moments that make the entire gasp or scream in excitement. I try to bring up characters backstorys and find ways to tie every character into a story and get everyone invested. I am currently making more of an effort to make better NPCs that are more than just vessels to the next quest since this is something that my group really enjoys. Ebere, The other DM, focuses more on roleplay than combat. We have gone 2 or 3 sessions without combat in her games and they are incredible. This comes from someone who normally doesnt enjoy games like this. Its very easy to get invested in her NPCs and gives tons of moments for not only deep character involvement but character development that will tie back into the overarching story. We are all 20-26 years old and most of us are in college still. We understand that life comes before gaming and therefor we understand when someone can not make every session however, like anyone, we do not want someone who misses multiple sessions. We also try to fill sessions where a player can not make it with one shots or other randoms games when we can. Right now we are just finishing a campaign and we plan to grab a couple players to do a one shot in a different system to have fun and make sure the new players fit in well with the group before anyone has to commit to a long term campaign. We are looking for two new players to bring the group up to 5 PCs. If you wanna join leave a listing answering the following questions below 1.) Your Name 2.) Skype Name(I can PM you later to ask if its easier for you!) 3.) Age 4.) Time Zone/Perfered Play Times 5.)TTRPG Experience (not just D&D) 6.) Gaming Preferences (Roleplay heavy vs. Combat heavy) 7.) Character Preferences (types of characters you like to play; Race, Alignment, Class) 8.) Ruling Preferences (Rules heavy vs. Rules light) 9.) Other TTRPGS you like/wish to play. 10.) Interesting Facts About You! We also do short 5-10 minute interviews to have an idea who you are and to make it easier to get through a large list of strangers before we join a game together. This interview will require a Mic and Webcam as well as skype. If you want more Info on the DMs go here ---> https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/79169/looking-... Feel free to ask any questions and I will get back to you.
Hey, sounds like a good time. 1.) Ted Ofner 2.) theofner 3.) 27 4.) EST; this timing will definitely make me miss Critical Role live, but I'm okay with that. 5.) I've play D&D extensively, but I've also play around with nitty-gritty systems like Shadowrun and more freeform, psychology focused games like Dogs in the Vineyard 6.) I like to rollplay; I think the magic of RPGs is getting to use your imagination to place yourself in a fantastical world that matches the scale of your foucs, and so I enjoy things which accentuate that: detail moments, interacting physically with the evironment, striking up conversations with NPCs. 7.) Currently, there's a character I've been brewing for a week or so who's a Tabaxi Rogue, but like most of the characters I make, he's kind of a chaotic specialist - very good at one thing, terrible at everything else, doesn't really respect or like the institutions of the world around him, shouldn't really be able to survive, but just kind of *happens* to survive. 8.) I like sensical, not litigious rules applications. I like to respect the DM's choices as to how the rules are going to work, but I also like DM's who respect the balance work put into their system and try to preserve that. 9.) Shadowrun is just a big mess, but it sounds super gritty and d10's and fun. Also, Dread is super unique, but may not work well online? 10.) I'm a PhD student who speaks Japanese and likes to go to Japan during the summers. One of my long term life goals is to help spread the good word of TTRPG to Japan.
