I am taking days off Thurs. and Fri. before Roll20Con to prepare stuff for this weekend. I have read the UNWRITTEN game, which is the approved game based on the Myst series of computer games. Any Myst fans here?  It is written well, a gentle game of exploration with no violence. DESCRIPTION: In "Golden Glows" , the characters aid the D'ni revivalists in restoring a district of the underground D'ni city of Ae'gura. Some humans doubt that these efforts will work, and a few even insultingly called the revivalists "Cozzies" -- mere cosplayers, or, "people with a cause." The streets in this district have pipework leading to lovely oil lamps -- but they are now dry. How were they supplied? The D'ni wrote Ages to supply themselves with everything, and a Linking Book has been found. Shall you go? To revive the D'ni district, you have to think like a D'ni. I have booked days off but my evenings are plugged with Roll20 events.  I propose an odd time, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4) .  It may be shorter than 4 hours after all, but if the game works out I will offer it through Roll20Con in the same time-slot. We can use Discord for voice chat; I also have used Google Hangouts in games before. Consider this a test game, pretty much theater of the mind .  The graphics in my game will probably be worse  than the original Myst computer game.  :-) If you can't make that time, don't worry, I will offer it during Roll20Con on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, or both, at the same time slot. I can teach you the Fate Core rules. Pre-generated characters are available; I have handouts and Forum messages on the differences from regular Fate. In Fate you are playing with words and descriptions more than any numbers. You have basic Skills and the only Actions to apply those Skills to are either Overcome something with a Skill, Create Advantage (manipulate an Aspect of the setting or people to your advantage to get bonuses) or Discover (learn things and establish facts). There is little violence in Unwritten: unlike other Fate Core games, Attack is not an Action in the rules! It is a gentle game of exploration and investigation and sometimes political intrigue between the human factions who have found the Ages and cities and other works of the D'ni. I would be pleased to test it for an easy-going group of gamers ahead of the actual con. Like...here!
I've never tried Unwritten, but I'm a huge fan of Myst (yes, I've even read the novels, though it was a long time ago). I'd love to try this out.

Okay, I hope to be ready and I'm PMing the Invite link.  Did you mention if you know Fate Core at all?
Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with Fate. I've been playing since DFRPG originally came out.

My game offer was short-notice, so far it's only you and one other possible guy from another forum who hasn't tried Fate yet.  I'll have to see if it's a go.  If no game today, then I'll offer it for Sunday as part of the Roll20Con listings.
I might be able to

I will PM you an Invite link, Bryant.  2 players is a little low; I'd prefer 3.  In any case if this session can't start, you are invited to the game when I schedule it for Roll20Con, Sunday afternoon at this time 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, or maybe it will switch to 2 p.m.  I wanted to do something for this event, and for the first time in a while I had some good creative ideas.  In Unwritten, players can have an influence on reality and the "facts" of the game too!

Sadly there were people registered for the Sunday 2 p.m. time, but only one player showed so the game was a scratch. I will polish the game some more and offer it another time.
