Your home, ever moving, is in the Sunset Mountains. When the bitter winter comes you descend and settle down to wait out the snow and ice. Each year, the village's sage watches the skies, the stars, and her own dreams to portent when the snows will come. This year, however, Sage Sable has fallen into a deep sleep and no one has been able to wake her. Her illness came upon her suddenly and without warning, and the healer, Cecilie, believes there is foul magic to blame. Even without Sable's help, everyone knows that the snow will descend, soon. Chief Geddert has decided to leave, taking the herd and most of the tribespeople with him, to the safety of the hills. Only a few warriors, Sable, and Cecilie remain. You are one of them. Your task is to watch over Sable and Cecilie, to keep them safe until Sable can be moved. As soon as the rest of the tribe is gone, you begin to hear strange, frightening noises on the mountainside. The short days and long nights leave you feeling boxed in and you have the distinct sense that you are being surrounded by something that wants you dead. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/82172/the-world-of-aspara-death-on-the-mountain This is a text-only 5e mini campaign in a homebrewed setting, Aspara.
