CLOSED: [LFG] FATE core: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but set in 1996, Washington D.C., and with a horror twist.

"Washington D.C., 1996. The millennium draws to a close and another approaches. It is a time of both change and stagnation, a period of dim light and vast darkness. It a time in need of torch-bearers. You are those torch-bearers and together you comprise Department-7 of the FBI. Recruited by the young Riley Finn, under orders from the FBI's director, you are pressed into service by the government in a time of need. Now you must face the nefarious Demon's Head and his vile plan for world domination. But things are not entirely as they seem; other factors, cryptic and uncanny, are also at play. A remarkable drama will ensue." Hey! This short campaign will be anywhere from three to six sessions long. It will be using the FATE core rules. It is partially based on Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but rather than being set in Victorian England, 1898 this will be set in Washington D.C., 1996 (with the genre being horror). Character creation will be part of play so you don't have to worry about developing one ahead of time--the only preparation you'll need is coming up with a previously established fictional horror character to play in the campaign. I'll GM and I'll need three players at minimum besides myself. Looking for newbies and experts alike. I'm looking forward to playing with you! If you're interested feel free to post below. This sort of information might prove useful to me: -Name -Any experience with FATE or other RPGs -Date and time preferences -Time zone -Character you're thinking about playing
Hello and greetings! My name is Caleb. I have about 3 to 4 months experience with Fate but am still learning. I also have several years experience with D&D, mostly 5e. My time zone is MDT. I can probably do any day of the week except Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Depending on how long it goes on and how often we meet, I may be able to do Fridays. Maybe. I don't really have a character in mind yet. Still thinking about that.
Hi, Caleb! Your experience with Fate mirrors mine. I'm a fan of D&D 5e as well. Sadly the only time I'm really open is on weekends :/ Let me know about which character you'd like to play though. There may be a way we can make scheduling work.
-Name: Robert -Any experience with FATE or other RPGs:  I have been in a few Fate one shots on Roll20 but still getting use to it.  Played a few rpgs most recently 5th edition DnD and V20 and M20 on here. -Date and time preferences:   I would prefer the weekend as I am in the UK so usually play with USA folk but best with time differences Friday or Saturday. -Time zone:  GMT/BST -Character you're thinking about playing:  Reading up on the members I think Thomas Carnacki sounds interesting or the Invisible Man.
Weekends are perfect for me, Robert. My time zone is midwest USA (is there an easy way to convert that? As you can see I'm really new to Roll20). Both of your character ideas sound excellent.

So Alex,  you are -6 from me  Gmt is 0 if you are in CST so six hours behind.  I am pretty open to playing early mornings for me on Saturday / Sunday (your probable evenings Friday /Sat) which is why I usually play with fellow Americans (I am an American in the UK)
Gotcha. I could easily do early mornings on Saturday.
