[LFP] Torchbearer - 7:30pm [GMT]

Adam Koebel says Torchbearer is Darkest Dungeon the roleplaying game. Its all about exploring the deep dark earth but its definitely no walk in the park, you have to worry about rations, light and the denizens down ther. Will you get even more measly coin from going down there? Who knows. I love Torchbearer because it machanises things like light, when to eat rations and how to map dungeons. I also like it because it gives you a room with an obstacle in it and makes the players come up with clever solutions to get past it. New Players are welcome because I always love teaching the game. Days can be worked out so let me know what days you would be available. The time unfortunately can't change more then half an hour each way really.

I do love the Darkest Dungeon game, Id be very intrested in learning a system like that

"Triumphant pride leads to a dizzying fall..." It sounds very interesting, but I don't think you'd like me to join up because there's no way I wouldn't end up quoting the Darkest Dungeon narrator ad nauseam!!

Well the game is set in kind of a ruined world, outside civilisation is wilderness, monsters and dark dungeons. You are the people that can't get jobs in these settlements for whatever reason, so your way of living is to go out into these dungeons and find treasure. I will warn its kind of a bit of a mechanical game, it is about knowing how much light you have, how many rations you have and slowly getting more and more defeated by the dungeon over time. But it is a game where you have your own beliefs and goals to pursue and glory can await you just got to be a bit more clever because the world is harsh.
