Whiteboard Handout

I don't remember seeing a way to do something like this. I like using dynamic lighting so that my players can't see rooms they aren't in. I am beginning to experiment with large maze-like maps that they spend a few sessions finding their way through. I think it would be great if they could have a handout to draw their own map on to try to keep track of where they are and where they have been. Something they can all see and contribute to that wouldn't require a seperate whiteboard sharing site/app or constantly switching them between pages.
Players can draw directly on the map. Would that be of help?

Sadly when using DL drawings made are also hidden from view... what WOULD be great if there was a special colour selection that was 'glow in the dark' so that players could trace maps on the VTT as they adventure and see the lines but not the room contents so that DMs can repopulate behind them...
Ah, I misunderstood the request. Sorry about that!
So this isn't a perfect workaround but I've used it in the past in my games and it has worked well enough.  Extend your map a bit to the side and put a dynamic lighting box around it. Place a token in there that emits lots of light, has sight, and is controlled by all players: The end result is a white space off to the side that the players can doodle in: As long as you have Restrict Movement on in your dynamic lighting settings they won't be able to cross tokens between the two. It's not perfect since it requires a lot of scrolling on the part of the players but I thought I'd mention it as a potential workaround for you in the meantime.
