Pardalis66, back in the day (70's/early 80's) Space Opera was considered an 'unplayable game'. Of course, I took it as a challenge! :) I ran a couple Space Opera campaigns and they turned out pretty good. However, I did cheat and revised the system on how to gain skills so one could consider me as having cheated. However, I have a soft spot for Space Opera. I thought it got sold short. I brought it up because I just went through my stuff from 40 years ago I had boxed up in the attic...found my D&D stuff including the original Grey Hawk 4 books that got us into D&D, and Space Opera. No Traveler though and have no idea where they might have gotten to. I imagine they upgraded it since the 70's anyway. Still scratching where my Gamma World, Starship Centari, Traveler, Star Frontiers, Top Secret, Twilight 2000 and a couple other game sets are off to. Hopefully I will find a box in storage somewhere with them :) Space Opera really worked for a campaign I had that started with finding out the moons of Mars were artificial. Traveler and Star Frontiers realllyyy didn't fit what was needed like Space Opera did.
