I have a spot open for 1 player in an ongoing campaign. The campaign is based in the Planescape genre and there's lots of plane-hopping and stuff like that. The characters are mythic (1st tier, and I will only ever go to a max of tier 3), 8th level and are trying to help Ragathiel. This is intended to be a long-running campaign and I have planned out a total of 9 major story arcs (2 of which have been completed now) as well as some sidequests, player-driven plotlines, etc. By the end, the characters will be 20th level, mythic tier 3). There are currently 4 players with another one on hiatus for a while. You can see the game details and plot synopsis at https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/83392/the-red-r... Despite the epic nature of the campaign, the main focus is not combat, but rather RP, investigation, and goal-solving. Don't get me wrong, there IS combat in the campaign, but it's not intended as the main focus and I try to have a mix of RP, investigation, and combat each session with extra XP awarded by party vote for best RP. My goal for this campaign is to tell a good story and host a fun game for everyone. I'm very communicative and open to player input. I try hard to avoid spending in-game time on rules arguments. I do stream the games on twitch and they are all recorded on youtube as well. If you're interested in watching the videos, you can find the playlist at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrkyWuw1IrB... This also means that a good headset mic (NOT desktop mic) and decent webcam is required for the campaign. I use skype for camera and sessions, but in between, we have an active discord server for out-of-game and between-session discussions. Being active out of game on discord is helpful as I use discord for most communication. I'm really looking for active, long-term players. If you typically join games for a session or two and then leave, please don't bother applying. I use standard pathfinder rules with most books and supplements allowed (if it's published on or before Dec 31, 2016, with rare exceptions that are cleared ahead of time). I do not allow summoners, gunslingers, or zen archers in the campaign. I'm pretty flexible in what I allow, but I do try hard to pay attention to balance and make sure that no one min-maxes so much that they create characters that are just unbalanced and no fun for the rest of the party. The party also also gets a vote on whether the character will fit in the group or not. As part of the story line, each player has a pool of 3 characters that they can switch between with a bit of time and effort. Characters will start at 8th level, mythic tier 1, 25 point-buy stats, and standard gold for 8th level. Each character has their own equipment and starting gold, but during play, the equipment cannot be shared between characters (with some possible exceptions). I put a lot of time and thought into this campaign. The handouts are extensive and the maps are all custom-made and fairly detailed. The story line is epic and will take the players to most of the outer planes. My promise as a DM is to put the effort into the game and make the mechanics smooth and the story as interesting as I can. If this sounds like a campaign you'd be interested in, please respond here. I'd love to hear some character ideas and what interests you about the campaign (i.e. why you want to play in it). Thanks for your time!
