Hi all, I have had alot of feedback since Moday's game and I thank all those that spoke with me for that, I feel that the games should be a two way experience. Also I feel that I should outline the setting's mood and tone of the game, somthing I realize I had not done and for that I apologise. As a result of last monday I have had two players quit, this is not ok. As Solid said "I play this game to have fun and a laugh", the moment that it gets over serious the fun drops and then what is the point ? So for some house rules.... NO player vs player to the death, I should not really have to state this. After all if your charater no longer can work with the other's why is he or she along with the party in the first place? Mind control and charm may happen, you may even need to restrain or knock a player out for many reasons but activly seeking PVP is always a downer. You are all supposed to be hero's or at very least unwilling hero's! No weapon NWP's XP is univeral for all as I am still reading up on XP given out for spells cast etc. Rules light but imagination and narrative heavy. You want to swing on a rope while casting that spell Mr wizard? Sure we can have a roll for that! The mood of the setting is as I said before a light hearted adventure tale, along the lines of pirates of the carrabean or other swashbuckling movies. This is not grimdark and at the same time its not a murder hobo game. You can kill every monster you meet but you can also talk or think your way out. Now the part that frankly I have wrestled with all week long and am most unhappy with. I have had requests and concearns brought to me reguarding monday's game. I thought it went rather well, you all took a tricky situation and made the best of it.Your Palladin managed to dismiss the acusation of murder on the grounds that it was outside the town and that the victim had killed goblins in cold blood. Also your half orc took his punishment with honour and strength! Unfortunatly what transpired on the ship after managed to derail the game for over an hour and led to two people quitting altogether. There is concearn in the group now that Webs charater can kill them all at will and whenever he feels he is slighted or they are not acting as he wishes. I'm not going to retread my argument on the night but your Palladin acted smartly as lawful good, he told no lies but managed to get the murder charge overturned. I felt it was a great piece of roleplaying and showed a keen mind and loyalty to a group he frankly only just met. Then came the calls for Init... I have decided that for the reasons brought to me by other players and the monday night detrailment, Web I am going to have to drop you from the game. It's taken me all week to come to this dission as I like your roleplay and knowlege of the game. But I have to go with the players as my job as DM is to make sure everyone has great adventures and most of all fun times. To the other players, If you would like to leave thats cooland I understand no hard feelings at all. To everyone that sticks around we shall strike a line under monday, It never happend we wil start you in the Inn on the town. The shipwreck happened but you all managed to swim to town. The combat with the goblins and the girls murder never happened. You can all keep your XP though! I hope to see you all in game on monday. Lex
