Im running lost mine of phandelver and see there is and update available, my question is if i update it will it change any changes I've made? I've added stuff to maps, made tokens for all the NPCs etc and id rather not lose all those changes

Don't do the update. It will screw all your stuff up if you've made changes.

You could make a copy of your Game and apply the update in it to see what is affected.

I just know I had to rollback my campaign after applying the update cause it added a bunch of empty maps, deleted my old maps, and screwed things up in general.
