Hello everyone! I will be running Wizards of the Coast's Lost Mine of Phandelver module as a one-shot game over 4-6 weekly sessions on Fridays. This will be an introductory game for new folks, to the hobby or to 5E, to learn the system and have fun. I'm mostly an OSR type guy, but I'd like to dabble in the new rule system and see if I like it, too! Lost Mine of Phandelver is an introductory adventure for 4-5 characters at level 1. We will be using the provided pre-made characters (unless you can give me a super-compelling reason why you want to make your own.) The game is open to any/all of any experience and background. I only ask that you don't apply to the game if you can't commit to 4 sessions; I'm not interested in having to find new folks once the game is going. I'm going to open this up to 6 players, although the module is capped at 5, in order to be able to cover one person not showing per game. Also, be prepared to not take the game too seriously - this is for fun! Sessions will last 4-5 hours. As for me, I have 25 years of experience running games, but mostly with 1E and Pathfinder. My games tend to focus on a mix of role-playing and tactical combat (I like both equally) but we'll be following the module very closely. I've run it once before, and I think it's excellent. I sometimes swear like a sailor, and enjoy games with a lot of laughter. You can find the game by looking up "Lost Mine of Phandelver" at 8pm CDT on Fridays. You can also just apply here, too. If you do: When you post your application to the game, please say what your experience is with role-playing, why you're interested in the game, and if you're positive you can commit to 4 weekly sessions. And if you have any questions, ask!
