Session 6 Log: Sunday Aug 6, 2017

Recap As Garad, Recto, & Zigmundo explore the cellar (south-eastern-most room) they alert three Redbrands in the barracks to their west to their presence. A battle ensues thats Zigmundo barely survives and the three men take one of their attackers, a Redbrand by the name of Tegan, as a prisoner. Granny, Steve, Rolen, and the goblin Droop eventually rejoin the rest of the party after gathering some beaver hides they had previously found from the stores north of the cavern. After a brief rest Garad leashes Tegan with some rope and pushes him down a dusty hallway north of the cellar. Tegan triggers a pitfall trap and falls to his doom – nearly taking Garad with him. Recto pulls some pitons from his pack to help make the pit easier to climb in and out of and the party heads westward into an ancient crypt that belonged to the original owners of Tresendar Manor. The party dispatches three skeletons that rose from the crypt's sarcophagi and enter a makeshift jail as the fire from the westerns side of the hideout starts to encroach upon them. Within the room they find two Redbrand guards who quickly ambush Garad and three disheveled humans – a young man, a young woman, and a middle-aged woman – are held within the room's cells. Rolen transforms into a terrifying brown bear and the party heads towards a decisive victory over the guards before Granny presses them to surrender, which they do. Our adventurers and company flee from the hideout as it burns all around them. The party has one of the guards take the lead and he quickly betrays them – knocking out the pitons which would help them escape the pit quickly. Before the guard can flee Zigmundo casts sleep upon him and he collapses to the ground. Granny casually slices the throat of the sleeping guard as they all flee out the cellar's exit to the sun setting over the flaming ruins of Tresendar Manor. Currently accompanying the party: our six adventurers the goblin Droop three rescued human prisoners one captive Redbrand guard Loot & Level-up Everyone should level up their characters to level 3 before next week's session. Gotta give it to Granny for her (his) people skills.
Garad for MVP.  He single handedly won the fight at the beginning of the night when we split the party.   Then it was him who decided to take the prisoner.  That same prisoner took a dive for us when falling down the pit of death trap.
I vote for Garad too.  If I can't vote for him, then I nominate Granny for getting us out of the final battle without having to actually do combat.
I'd also chip in for Garad, taking the hits, or making sure a 'Not us" takes them in this hard fought victory.  We do need to talk about loot distrubution btw, we have an absurd amount out of this cave...
Hahaha. I love that Nick finally shows up... to vote for himself. ;-)
Hahaha. That opening fight scene was very cool, so yeah - Garad's a solid nominee. Also I clearly can't be trusted with Inspiration, as I forgot to use it! (Or maybe that's just because Recto didn't get into too much trouble this game :P)
