Ron Ron started in the Royal Magic Academy with Hakrou Mithrilguard (Dwarf), Froonsnyr, Ma Thornberry, Naghul a black dragonborn, and an older human woman dressed in black robes. Froonsnyr was telling Hakrou and Naghul all about her adventures in guilds town with Ailekk, Urd, Cassius, Rurrick, and Swell. After speaking briefly with Ma, Froonsnyr began asking him a whole bunch of questions about Indra, apparently she is from there. Urd Arieth escorted Urd to Behyla. On their way down into the prison they can hear the occasional scream, but mostly it is silence. Walking out they see a human woman, 5’5ish, but very athletics. Behind her Urd instantly recognizes a half-ogre. She looks a little confused, she sees Urd and looks more confused, “Oh, so you are Behyla’s brother I’ve heard so much about.” She walks up chest to… stomache? With Urd and looks directly at hims. “Your brother is weird. And what’s all this shit?” She says motioning around you. “This is home to him? I guess the meaning of Sahiva has changed. I thought it was about blood and glory. Not about information and victims. But you do have a cute face.” [She tries to punch Urd in the arm] [Fog starts to roll through the cracks of the stone] Arieth says “Just say go.” [He can feel the electricity crackling in the air.] Upon leaving she gives him the middle finger and walks off. Arieth threatens to shoot a lightning chromatic orb up her ass. And asked, “So what do you know about Ruara?” Behyla responded with, “What do you know about Ruara?” Urd pulled out the hairpin. Behyla said, “So. You know about my connections with Ruara by now, I suppose? Well, they are over. Ruara taught the Dree everything the know. He made them, hundreds of years before their arrival in Shrave. He guided them here. He betrayed them long ago, but his treachery was only confirmed with this. When I heard of what was going on, amongst Ruara’s followers, I thought he WAS preparing the way for the Dree armies. That’s why we came here. I wanted to be on the front lines. Instead he just staged a fake attack, intending to pin it on Dree and Queen Lightcrown. Oron is well aware of my patriotism. That doesn’t make me bad at my job. If it involves going to war with Dree, I cannot be a part of it. Our house will surely fall if such a thing happens. I assure you, I am no longer allies with Ruara. We must take action against him.” Urd agreed, saying “Then what do we do next?” The door behind Behyla’s chair opened, and Oron and Kaleem walked in. Oron looks cleaned up. In fact, even though you saw him moments ago he doesn’t look like the same Oron at all. He isn’t injured he isn’t sweaty [DC Check you think he was disguised earlier]. “Behyla, you are quite mistaken if you think we can avoid war with Dree. That was is imminent.” Oron and Behyla began arguing for several minutes, while Urd eyed Kaleem. Eventually Kaleem took a scroll case out of his tunic and slid it across the table to Urd. Urd says, “What’s this?” Kaleem replied, “It’s written notification for the border patrols and watches on the border in between Dree and Dravens to begin preparing for an offensive action against Dravens.” Oron stopped arguing, and sighed. “Yes, and there’s that.” Behyla said, “So it’s already happening?” Oron said, “Yes.” Arieth burst in saying, “Urd, I heard your friend Ailekk screech. I think he’s in trouble” Urd looked at Behyla who said, “Go. Help your friend.” Urd took off at full speed towards Ailekk’s tower. Cassius After spending some time at the infirmary, Cassius and Ailekk break up for the evening. In the infirmary he saw half a dozen men he served with die from wounds. He sees Kaleem in the infirmary helping. Kaleem mostly avoids him. Finally, Kaleem approaches him. “I’m sorry for you lost troops, Cassius. I’ve heard that when people die, other people feel sorrow. I imagine you feel this way. I’ve honestly done what I could.” He looks at Cassius, “I haven’t come here to hurt these people. I’ve come to help. But for me that is it’s own struggle. I don’t know how to help. This is new for me.” Eventually Cassius leaves. Cassius gets to his room and feels something. He hasn’t ever really heard Bahamut call to him, not really. He’s only ever felt this drive for vengeance, for completeness. But he hears a calling out to him, he thinks that something’s not right. He thinks for just a moment it might be Bahamut, then [item from his father] starts itching and tells him he needs to find his friend. He made a mistake by walking away. Ailekk Tolandre & Elbricht are in Ailekk’s room when he arrives there. They are playing with Newt. Tolandre snaps her fingers and the door behind Ailekk slams shut. Elbricht steps forward, “I’d like to thank you, Ailekk. You and your friends for convincing Breschka to go out there and talk with our brethren. It will make a fitting end for Breschka. And none of it would have been possible without you. The saviors of Guilds Town, defeaters of the Dead Man’s Grace. We actually don’t like what you did to the Claws of Tiamatt but some of their messages for help got out. Not far, their messengers were tracked down and killed, but not before some of us got the message.” Tolandre is playing with Newt, summoning colored lights in her fingers. He shoots Ailekk a glare, [DC Check] he knows the score. And Newt’s ready to play ball whenever he needs to. Tolandre and Elbrichte attacked Ailekk, stabbing him well (knocking him to about ¼ of his max health). Ailekk screeched loudly, took the disengage action, grabbed Newt and flew out the window where he saw 6 gargoyles, as well as his brother Kaaska high above them, amongst the clouds. Ailekk flew down 2 stories and into the magic academy where he came zooming in all the way to the back of the room saying “There’s gargoyles. Attack them.” Ron healed Ailekk who then went back up. In the tower above more Dree came from… somewhere and were engaged in hand to hand combat with the gargoyles. Ailekk fought while Cassius came running by in his full plate, and Ron saw him and decided to follow. The three became locked in combat with the Dree, first Ron fireballed the Dree sending the gargoyles flying off and dropping or horribly wounding the Dree, Elbrichte started fighting Ailekk, and the Dree Apprentices magic missiling Cassius several times. The fight was looking touch and go for a moment (despite the fact Tolande kept missing *sigh*). At the top of the round Urd came in, grappling the injured Tolande, putting a dagger to her throat and dragging her away from combat. Rurrick Rurrick arrives and Plot is there, along with 3 slaves who were freed from the Corrive boat. They all seem really happy to see him. Apparently, they’ve been manning his stil since he left and selling “Rurrick’s Brew”. Rurrick takes a sip and isn’t near disgusted enough. The stuff is WAY too smooth for his brand of brew. Later on he saw three of the nobles from the courtyard. Then he saw Jamesyth, a local merchant and troublemaker. He was escorting three Dree, one mage, one scout, and a knight. He pointed at Rurrick and said, “There’s one of them.” A drunk Rurrick tanked his initiative roll and the knight and scout tore into him. The mage moved so that she could lightning bolt both Rurrick and Plot, incinerating the elf child. Rurrick turned into a giant elk and fled at a frantic gallop (120 feet/turn). Getting to the castle walls near the tower, he reassumed humanoid form and progressed upwards towards the top of the tower where he’d seen the gargoyles and heard Ailekk. Quick Reunion Rurrick made it up to the tower, and the party attacked the Elbrichte, Tolande was now dead killed by Urd and Ron. The two surviving Dree apprentices jumped out of the tower windows. The Dree thugs tried to climb down the windows but were cut down by Kaaska’s arrows. He came in and said he could see Breschka fighting Dree outside of the city gates. Ailekk went with them. The rest of the party confront the Dree who had attacked Rurrick earlier who were now in the throne room slaughtering servants. Their mage fled after being attacked and used hit and run tactics to fireball them. Cassius’ bless spell was the factor in Ron making his saving throw, keeping the fireball from taking him down. Urd went into the room where the mage and scout were holed up (after taking down the knight), and grappled the mage then drug her into the middle of Rurrick’s dire wolves where they could chew on her. Ron got in a flame bolt as well. Ailekk and Kaaska used bolts treated with wyvern poison to take out the Dree mages, by this point Breschka and only a couple of her guards were still standing, the rest of her entourage had been taken out. Then Breschka fled back to the city gates. The game ended with Urd, Ron, Cassius, and Rurrick doing some roleplaying. They filled in Ron on some recent events. Ron described himself as Cassius’ uncle from Indra and was very curious about all their stories. Rurrick was naturally suspicious of Ron, and this whole coincidence. END SESSION [Level up to level 7]
