Time Zone Problems

Seems to be a common theme here on the forum. I read through dozens of the same issue, but none of the solutions applied to my case, or worked to resolve the issue. I'm current in Central America, which uses only CST (never CDT). However, my scheduled games show up using CDT (GMT-5) while at the same time claiming to be CST (GMT-6). This auto-detection Roll20 is using is just not working. We need a way to select the ACTUAL time zone in our profiles, and the time zone selection should have DST optional, and know which dates DST lands on depending on the TZI. DST can fall at different times for different regions. Roll20 also needs to use the correct abbreviations. CST during DST becomes CDT, because CST refers to GMT-6 and CDT refers to GMT-5 regardless of DST status. Same with other time zones that use DST.

As far as I'm aware, Roll20 is just using whatever time zone your browser claims to be using. Is it the optimal decision for how to display game times? Maybe not. But if your browser reports the wrong time zone, that  isn't Roll20's fault.
The problem is, Central America uses CST, but not DST. Roll20 is forcing DST but calling it CST even though it's using CDT. And there's no way to opt out of it. If you search the forum, there's just post after post of similar types of TZI problems caused by Roll20's faulty detection.
Hi Daniel B, I have made a ticket and will be sure to bring this up to the devs.
