Hi there, I am a 28yo Australian guy, living in Sweden. I am also a student with plenty of time on my hands. I have recently become interested in RP (D&D5E in particular) but need some help! I am finding it hard to find a game that suits me using the regular "Looking for Group" system. I have tried to join a couple games in the past but for various reasons they fell apart almost immediately, so I have decided to declare my preferences here in hopes that a nice DM will take me under their wing. -Firstly the Min/Max thing completely turns me off, previous sessions have turned into shouting matches with the DM while the rest of the group listen on in frustration. -Secondly I would love to be involved in a more serious and mature campaign, of course I want personalities to shine and I have a sense of humor but when someone is trying to crack a joke or insert a reference every second sentence, my immersion is completely destroyed. -Lastly if a DM would like to give me a chance I would love to sit down for a couple hours with them and flesh out a character that will fit into their setting. Wow! I just re-read this and it sounds super serious and bleak haha, mostly I just want a good DM to throw me a bone and I promise I will give it my best shot to become a valued member of their party and who knows perhaps even make some new friends ;) Cheers for spending the time to read this rant, Shane.
