So, I logged into Roll20 to join the Pathfinder game that I've been playing in since last year, and I ran into a fairly unusual problem. This wasn't the first time I had logged in since the Rugged Reroll release, but it was my first time logging in with at least one other person present (thus launching the video/voice interface). I was, as always, using Chrome. Anyway, everything was working except that I was unable to receive voice from the other players. I was able to receive the chat beep and campaign music. I was able to see them, and they were able to see and hear me. At this point, I went through a volley of trouble shooting efforts. I first checked the permissions of WebRTC and made sure everything was allowed. I also checked the securities and granted absolute permissions. I then made sure my microphone was working, which it was. I also updated java and stuff to make sure there wasn't a problem there. Oh, I also downloaded the tokbox app to check compatibility, and it returned that everything was compatible and should work as normal. I also restarted my computer a bunch and the browser even more frequently. I may be forgetting something, but that's most of it. Here, I decided to download Firefox and give it a try. Once it was downloaded, I logged out of Roll20 in Chrome, and into it in Firefox. I entered the campaign, and I granted all permissions. Here, the problem was inverse! I could hear the party, but could not see them, meanwhile, they could not see or hear me! I went through the whole permissions and securities rigmarole, and refreshed my browser a few times. By now, I had spent 45minutes working on Chrome, and another 15 on Firefox, with no improvement to either. The group was about to call it quits, so I dialed up a Hail Mary (because why not), and I dual logged into BOTH Chrome and Firefox. Much to everyone's surprise, this worked absolutely perfectly. As I type, I am sharing video with my group and speaking through Chrome, and I am receiving voice through Firefox. Nothing about this makes any sense, but it is happening.
