Hello, I'm new to Roll20 and I've been experimenting with 3D assets to assemble and create interactive, ever changing maps, and since the good ol' days of Diablo, I've always found value in the immersive potential of isometric views. With Isometric views, and even overhead views with dense foliage, or roofing, it can pose ongoing problems for a content creator to figure out which things to take the axe to in the foreground, or what players are missing out on seeing from above. I've been wondering if anybody knows about any previous APIs, or discussion about the possibility of having an API script that uses a similar concept to the fog of war (and the use of a mask), and area of view around the players. The functionality I'm looking for, is an option to create two separate variations of a map. One with or without foliage, or some areas of walls/roof, or anything that might get in the way (or even just decreasing the opacity of those things to 25%). Then another one with the walls up and foreground trees or foliage completely visible. As the players move their tokens, the simlar 'fog of war' effect, cause the foreground or pesky parts of the map to vanish, but reappear when they move further away. The bubble of vision is common in so many games in the past, it seems like it could be an excellent thing to have or implement!
