Character backstories

Please post your character backstories here. At least, to the extent that you've shared them with the others. 

Kayne:  A random mage guy you met (at a tavern?...somewhere). You don't know much about him, but you've over heard something about a curse or being haunted or something like that.

a quiet monk whose intentions for coming along are still unclear but he is nonetheless ready to battle alongside anyone brave enough to treck down into that hole

A relatively young pixie, only a few hundred years old, Ash Amberspark has no memory of a 100 year gap. the last fifty years he has been traveling around the country doing what he knows best and that's being a pickpocket, a con, and a liar. These traits and skills he did not have before the memory gap. With the constant feeling of being chased or followed Ash is a rather paranoid creature.
