First try with Players -- Players can not see anything

Hello, this is my first try with Roll20. I have added a Map to the Map Layer. As GM I can see the Map. (see above )  But the Players only see a black Screen (and the icons of Player and GM). I do not know what to do. With best regards Robak

It looks as though you have cleared the fog of war from your map so the only things i can think of immediately are that your players are not on the right page (check where the ribbon is on the page drop down) or not looking in the right place (shift+ping to drag their view to the right place). If that fails, try turning fog of war off completely and see if they can see the white background/map... once that is established you can work through the steps to reinstate fog of war if desired: 1. enable fog of war 2. clear fog of war around desired elements 3. ??? 4. Profit?
Robak, have you found the problem?  Is it possible the players are on a different page?

Might want to double check which layer the map is on also. If it is on the GM layer, only the GM can see it.
Be sure the player tokens have "Has Sight" checked.

For today we moved the webcam 'oned' by the 'remote player' as close as possible to the screen projected by the beamer onto the table. Then I used gimp to add an 'fog of war' layer above the map. This allowed us to explore the today dungeon.  I also thought, that maybe the players are not on the right page.  I need to find out how to move a player on a page. I tried to switch on and off the fog of war but the black rectangular which appeared on the players screen seems not to change in any way.  Is there a part of the tutorial which explains how a GM can act with players? I see parts of the tutorial about 'chat' and things like this, but I do not see how the GM can decide what the players can see. I assumed the players see 'What the GM sees' minus 'the GM only Layer' minus 'everything which is coverd with fog of war'. During next week I will hopefully be able to find time with a player to do a Roll20 test session.  ------------------ My aim: One of my 'Pathfinder' Players has moved to an other city. As first step I would like to use Roll20 to let him see the dungeon map while projecting the same map onto the table.  It would be great if he would be able to move his character on the map without the need to ask other players to move his charakter.  I tried the presenting with a completly explored map. Later I would like to use the 'fog of war' feature and remove the fog of war step by step while the players explore the dungeon. Having a different view for me (at the laptop) and for the players (remote or on the table) would also be great.   Other functions of Roll20 are not my first priority, especially because I have only one remote player. with best regards Robak
