New Player Desperately LFG

Hello Friends, I am a new player that has had terrible luck finding games.  The last 3 campaigns that I have been accepted into have been abandoned by their DM before they even got started.  I am quickly becoming discouraged, but I really want to play badly.  I am most familiar with D&D 5E, but I am willing to learn any game as long as you are willing to be patient and help me learn.  I would like to play on any day Sun-Fri after 6pm if possible.  I have children so my weekends are typically full with activities. Hey Gus, I'm running a D&D 5e campaign in a homebrew setting (Vanilla core books style). I like a sandbox style of game where RP is king. The current group has a Paladin and Ranger and their path has led them on a quest to convince a heretic to cease and desist. We play at 8PM EST on Fridays, send me a reply if you are interested.
