Ragnarr, the youngest of two brothers. The two sons were simply known by the inhabitants of Lake-town, for good or for bad, as the Hardus brothers. He would find himself swept off into all sorts of adventures in an attempt to keep his eldest brother out of trouble. Then came the day when the dragon of the mountain made his presence known to the inhabitants of Lake-town. It was not long after the first screams were heard that the two brothers came charging out to meet their foe. Ragnarr was at his brother’s side, fending off Smaug as the dragon set the town ablaze. The two brothers held the dragon at bay, buying the town’s people some time to flee their homes. At least those that were so fortunate. They fought valiantly against the giant worm, using the clouds of smoke to shield them from the dragon’s gaze. Unable to inflict anything more than a distraction to the giant beast. Ragnarr’s brother leaped out from the smoldering cinders onto the serpent in a bold assault. Only to have his arm served by the creature as it flung him to the ground. Ragnarr went into a fit of rage and pursued the dragon before he came round for another attack. It was at this very moment that there was a strange turn of events. Their struggle bought Bard enough time to receive word from Bilbo about the dragon’s weakness in his armor. With this knowledge Bard pierced the dragon with a black arrow and the people of Lake-town witnessed the desolation of Smaug. However when the last of the flames died out, neither of the Hardus sons could be found. It's only after the Battle of Five Armies that Bard and his company of men stumbled across Ragnarr crashing out of the woods. His face was weary and his eyes darted around, as if constantly on guard. They could get little information out of him except a few grunts and groans. For Ragnarr has not uttered a word since. Unless you consider the murmurs in his sleep, mumbling about a creature in the dark. Could this be Smaug he talks of or is there other evil at work here? He has since regained most of his memories, except those that might tell of his mysterious disappearance. He now sets out into Middle Earth in search for his brother and to seek out the creature that has caused him such torment. Gathering some fallen dragon scales from Smaug’s carcass. Ragnarr hopes to gain the services of the dwarves to craft him a mighty armor, as he prepares for the inevitable battle that lays in wait.
