I'm new to roll20 and am trying to dm a game. When I set the game up, I selected a specific character sheet as per the instructions. Now my players are asking which character sheet they should use and saying that I didn't assign them one. What am I missing here?

Once player's have logged into your game at least once, you need to assign permissions for each sheet you added to a given player. (use the edit option of each character journal)  Then each player will be able to edit their own sheet.

I recommend going through the  Roll20 Tutorial . It covers a lot of the little things and really helps with running games.
