New Campaign: Garnering Interest

Hello all. I was recently introduced to this group and I am excited to see that there is a Christian community of gamers. I see that the groups are in a bit of a lull and I would be interested in possibly offering a new campaign for Sunday evenings (7 or 8pm EST) if there is interest. This could be weekly or every other week. I have a fairly developed homebrew world and use a combination of homebrew and occasionally modified modules. I will, of course, abide by the rules you have set forth here. We currently have games playing on Monday nite, Friday nite, and I run a game on Saturday on a 3 week rotation. In past, &nbsp;Wednesday nite and Sunday nite have not had a high turnout. &nbsp;Saturday afternoon or Saturday nite and Sunday afternoon finishing before 6pm have been the high turn out time slots on weekends and no one is currently running games at that time.&nbsp;

Well, if it doesn't have interest then that's ok. I want to schedule it at a time that doesn't interfere with family time so that pretty much leaves Sunday evenings for me. Also, someone said they couldn't access the game. I have changed it to public so you should be able to see it now. Sorry for the confusion.

I would be interested in joining, but I have a very strict work schedule everyday, so I would only be able to play between 4pm and 8pm CDT. Any day besides Mondays and Wednesdays would probably work for me.

Well don't hang it up yet. You just posted. It will take at least a week for everyone to login and check. and by the way I will be free that time slot on most Sundays. So if you need another player or some DM help with Roll20 let me know.

Hey man, just letting you know I'm down. I've been waiting for a sunday game! Please consider me a for sure. I'm in. Wasn't looking forward to making a new character so give me a day or 2 to add one to the application on your site as I come up with a new one.

No rush. We will go through some zero session character development before we get going so it may be a couple weeks or more.

One of the things lacking on G4C is active players.&nbsp;You will notice that most of the games consist mostly of the same players.&nbsp; I recommend posting in the LFG. If you can make the actual game active on the LFGs, that has the most success. Just add a thread letting people know that the game is part of the Gamers for Christ group and provide a link to the Discord server. You should be able to easily gain the new players that you need.&nbsp; One note about a campaign... Expect to do some player rotation throughout the beginning of your campaign. It may take some time before you will get players that will consistently show up. It is best to have more people interested in your campaign, and therefore on standby, than you have seats available. That will ensure a full game.

Wait I always fail to know when the games start at LFG because they always post when they start on the same day. I need a little time before&nbsp;to make sure I can show up.

We have 3 people who have posted on the campaign page with character ideas. We could use another 1-3 people and hopefully a healer of some sort :)&nbsp; Once we get through character background development we will be playing Sunday evenings sometime (EST). Mark - with regard to LFG - I wasn't even going to run this publicly based on some experience I have had in some game attempts. Once I found this group of Christian players I was encouraged to give it a shot. If I go to posting for players to fill a slot or two I will make sure to post it G4C tagged.

I believe Mark was talking about the LFG thread in the G4C discord channel.

Posting it to Roll20 with some sort of G4C tag is a great way to do it. I actually put in the OP for sign up that the game was part of Gamers for Christ, a copy of the Code of Conduct, and other details. Those interested would join the game, thus join Discord and get to meet the rest of the group. It is a great way for other Christians to find the group while finding a couple of like-minded players to fill seats.
