Salgerra Lighthorn Salgerra spends her time scouting and checking on the refugees, she’s somewhat of a busy-body. She will hardly stop long enough for anyone to mend her wounds. About halfway back to Rhoghnah, they meet up with a patrol who quickly fall in line to help escort the refugees back. It’s only then she begins to worry and move less. As a leader she is both fierce and meticulous. With a couple hours away, all of you begin to slow down. Your strength has been sapped and you need rest, she does as well (maybe even moreso). In a larger highway a couple miles underneath Rhoghnah you are all sitting around, trying to catch a breath and she comes up to you, swaying a bit and leans against the stone wall. She has a stone that is glowing in her gauntlet, lighting her way. “Thank you. This is twice now you’ve saved people, and I suspect without your help I wouldn’t be alive after either of these fights. I’m not sure if my luck has changed for better, or worse. Either way, I believe the gods have smiled upon me by bringing you to me. To us. My family should formally meet all of you.” She walks up to Alaise and shakes his hand firmly. “I’m not sure who you are but if you are a friend of this lot then I consider you family.” She looks over the rest. “Whatever it is you are calling yourself now,” she says looking at Bardman, “I hope you have a grand tale for this.” At Nikon and Helios, “It is strange, a dragonborn fit for these lands and a half-demon born to flames traveling together. You both perplex me. You act completely opposite of how I’d expect.” She pauses and lets herself sink to the floor in a sitting position. “My family needs help. We need guidance. I can fight a thousand beasts, but I can’t solve all the problems.” After a minute she says, “Be it securing the under-realm, taking the fight to Corrive, seeking more allies, or even dealing with this fire giant menace. Now is not the time to stop.” And she hoists herself back up, “No rest for the weary, unfortunately. We’ll talk again soon my friends.” And she trudges off. Ughragog Bardman asks Ughragog about fire giants. Smiths, tacticians, commanders. Refugees The refugees seem giddy the closer you get to the surface. But all isn’t perfect. Some seem nervous, others shaken. Some are incredibly excited. Two men approach Alaise, a little bit nervous. “Sir, Mr. Alaise. Are these your friends? The ones you’ve told us about?” [Alaise response] “They survived the Corrive. They survived capture and imprisonment?” [Alaise response] “Then there is hope. People do escape. And not just slavery… but capture.” [Alaise response] “Thank you sir Alaise. Thank you, all of you.” Keepers A guard places offerings at the keepers’ station and the rest of you wait for a half hour. You hear a voice echo down the hallway saying, “Cover your eyes. We wish to speak to you.” People pass the message down the road and are instructed to do as the Keepers ask. It takes several minutes for the orders to be executed and you hear footsteps approaching. [DC 15 perception check to hear others]. Someone walks up to the party and says “You entered one of our ancient crypts. We ask that you describe what you found.” [Your response] “Thank you. Go in peace.” Reeta & Gillia Not far from the surface you meet Reeta, Gillia, and Nuggle. They have Cuch and Gleep in tow. Reeta says “We got word you guys went out on a mission without us. We got Cuch and came to find you as soon as possible. Reeta… fessed up. She turned herself in as a Dree. When they found out she did it to come look for you guys they just let us through.” She says it as though she doesn’t believe it. The two look slightly scathed. “We ran into some kind of deformed creatures, not sure what they are, but they’re dead now.” Gillia walks up to Nikon and nods to him, then gives him his cap back. “When Reeta told me they were after me, I was terrified. Thank you. I have your back Nikon. But apparently these people are as noble as they seem.” Cuch runs up to Alaise and begins barking at him for some strange reason. Then he starts nipping at him playfully. Gleep looks at the group with disappointed eyes “Gleep?” “Gleep?” he says as if chastising them. Nuggle says, “So? How many things did you kill? I need… nah just tell me what you killed I’ll make up the numbers ma’ self.” Salgerra's Family: The Lighthorns The party met Salgerra's Family Salgerra Lighthorn: A warrior and military leader.
