In the last episode of the Yawning Portals, our brave adventurers had
headed down into the depths of the Sunless Citadel. In the darkened halls of
the Citadel our heroes found themselves faced with a "guiding light"
and some unlikely allies.
After our heroes encountered locked doors and more swarms of rats, they
headed towards an area in which they met a goblin named Meepo who they
befriended. Meepo led our brave adventurers to the Goblin's shamanic leader Grenl, who promised
the party the magical red fruit they sought as well as revealing their source
for the mystical fruit as a shadowy druid who mostly tolerated the goblins. In
exchange our heroes promised to rid them of the Gnoll incursion as well as to
find their pet, a young dragon that had been lost when the Gnolls attacked.
Our heroes obtained a key from the Goblin shaman, through some
impressive persuasion and logic thus granting them access to a secret area of
the Citadel. In the secret chamber, they found a animated stone dragon bearing a riddle as well
as strange glowing orbs that invaded their minds. Succeeding to overcome those obstacles, our heroes delved deeper into the chamber where they heard the
distant sound of flapping leathery wings...
