Different directions

Well thanks to a 3 day suspension, I've had some time to get things done for the game, and a couple of ideas. What are your thoughts on Stargate?  Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders?  Firefly? Also, what do you each want to accomplish with your characters?

Ah, I like Stargate myself. And I am not really sure with Adelaide, I think at the moment she is just trying to figure out what is going on and get her bearings - and avoid any legal problems with anything she might have done - or rather, get accused of doing...
Very cool.  There are a lot of different directions that have crossed my mind, and I'm wanting to get a feel for where the group wants to go.  There will definitely be some space exploration in the future.  And things are about to get really non-realistic and cinematic.  I wanted to get a foundation in the game of realism, but I didn't want to drag that out either before getting into what is causing the fluctuation in what we consider reality.
I have little to no experience with any of those three, but you know what, dragons are badass, so imma throw in a vote for that. I've also heard awesome things about firefly (i STILL need to watch that...) and I vaguely remember watching Stargate growing up. All three are awesome choices tbh. I'm not entirely  sure what I want to do with Jax, since I kind of made her up on the spot. But she's feisty and headstrong and ready for anything. What's a few space aliens and the occasional flying reptile? Perhaps she'll even find love out on that fantasy space adventure. Who knows?
The thing I like most about the Stargate sort of idea is it seems basically grounded in the lore you are creating - based on Earth, and travelling through wormholes to other places (or the Lower Mainland Vancouver as Richard Dean Anderson was often fond of lamplighting).
Firefly was an AMAZING show.  The network screwed up and played it out of order which is part of the reason that it failed, because they didn't realize that there were continuity issues that would flare up.  I still want me a Jayne Cobb hat, but now that they're mass produced, I won't get one. I have always loved Mr. Anderson.  A much better MacGyver, but the new one is pretty cool as well. So, I'm starting to get an idea rolling around in my head.  We'll see how it plays out. #FindLove4Jax
