NEW TO ROLL20 - Character Creation - Sheets, Importing - (GENERAL QUESTIONS)

Please excuse the obvious " Newbie " crap, as stated I'm fresh to the system but eager to get in on the action... That being said, here are my questions -  1 : Where do I find downloadable character sheets for AD&D 2nd Edition  I can work on outside of Roll20 that i can later import??? a : How do I import a character sheets that I've finished??? 2 : Will I be able to add a character image pic file to the sheet for aesthetics??? a : Is something like this available??? Images add depth to the character...  b : Are there History/Bio/Background sections for additional info on the character??? PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide...

While there are some sheet's(5e and Pathfinder) that have some sort of API script (pro feature) to import some external formats (HeroLab, PCGen, text-based SRD stat-blocks, etc. ) I'm not aware of such a feature for roll20's 2e sheet or even an import script to make it work. ;-( a : How do I import a character sheets that I've finished??? Once the dm assign's a player permission, you can include an image on the bio page of your character's journal entry. Either upload directly from your computer or include a url to the image. a : Is something like this available??? Adam. None of the sheets are downloadable/importable (there is a script that allows a certain type of data to be imported into the game to fill a specific sheet. This is a pro subscriber tier).  You can definitely add a character image to the sheet in the form of the avatar image.  You have a Bio tab in the journal which is where the sheet is at. There is a  wiki that has lot's of information you can read.

@Vince & Pat S. Thanks for the info guys... So let me get this straight, you basically have to be invited into a game by a DM & given permission before you can have access to materials to create a character???  I Have no invitations as of yet but something is in the works to join a campaign soon & I wanted to have a character concept ready for approval (history/bio/background/description/name,ect.)

You can create your character in your own game (anyone can create a game), set the game to use the 2e sheet, then use the character vault to store a backup of the character in the vault, which you can then import into the game you will be playing in. This does require that the creator of the game be a plus/pro subscriber or be using a marketplace module that has the full vault enabled.

You can also create a character offline, using any of the standard character sheets available for the games...you'd just need to transcribe the info into Roll20 once you have a character sheet in a game.  I generally create my character concepts offline using Evernote, so I can mess around with different options and builds to see which version of the character I like better, then move that into Roll20.

It is possible to import character sheets using JS IF the sheet is set up for it. A good example would be the PTU sheet and its Companion Google sheet. However you would need a pro level to add this to any existing sheet as you would need to create your own sheet based on the code. Also setting up the JS on the Google sheet takes some finagling CWStra, the present maintainer of the PTU sheet, spent a lot of time setting it up.
