Line of sight angle and token facing

I'm using the "top down" tokens of characters with dynamic lighting and line of sight. The problem I run into is quite a few of the token "facing" is not the same as the facing of the box that surrounds the token (when re-sizing or rotating). Thus the angle of view appears to be coming out of the side of the character, or sometimes behind them (!) How can I align the image in the token with the line of sight?
If you right click on a token and mouse over "advanced" from the menu, you should get the option to "flip horizontal" or "flip vertical." That should let you get your token oriented the correct way, I think.
Half way there! Flipping vertical worked to fix the facing for the "backwards" line of sight. Tokens that are facing the side (thus 90 degrees off from "the front") still end up facing to the side as I can't find anything to rotate them 90 degrees, thankfully I'm realizing that these tokens are rare so maybe I just wont use them.
Having the same problem. Is it possible to rotate the token clockwise or anticlockwise, without altering the 'facing'?
Riley may flip the default angle of the line of sight due to the preponderance of top down tokens that face that direction.
