As I am once again back to two players, I would like to extend an invitation to some new teenage heroes to join our team. We play on Sundays from 5 pm central to 10 pm central. We use Roll20 as our board and Discord for voice. Slots and Current Players I'm only looking to fill 2-4 slots for new characters. I currently already have a Legacy and a Doomed. I will allow for the Limited Edition books. I will provide links to all the playbooks at the bottom of this post. New and veteran players are both welcome. About The Game Masks is a Powered by the Apocalypse game about teenage superheroes, getting inspiration from shows like Young Justice and Teen Titans, where a group of younger heroes get together to be stronger as a team. Each playbook has certain powers they can pick from, which are kept vague so you can adapt them to how you want your character to work. They also each have backstory questions you answer to flesh out your character more. You also answer relationship questions so you have connections with your teammates. There is no HP. HP is measured in Conditions like Angry, Guilty, and Insecure, and if you get all of them, you have to flee the scene or fall unconscious. Our Current Heroes Glamour Gold is the newest in a line of scientifically mutated heroes called the Glamours. An avid rule-follower, she takes her superhero life very seriously and would never jeopardize the name of her company on purpose. Frankenstein was the valedictorian at Halcyon High, and set on the fast track to getting into college on the local biology lab's dime. But an explosion in the lab changed all that, killing the employees and leaving Frankenstein with strange new powers, and a voice in his head with a strange request: Feed me human souls. The Story So Far In our first issue, the heroes fought against a little girl named Blissy Belle, who was using Bliss Tech from the company Bliss Corp, the business rival to Glamour Corp. Easily defeating her, the team goes out for a quick meal before Glamour Gold heads to Glamour HQ and reveals she had something strange happen; it felt like the reporters were hypnotized. The Glamours are quick to point fingers at their current nemesis Venus, but Gallant Glamour has other ideas, thinking it might be one of her old-time villains Witch Means, and the Glamours unanimously tell her she's wrong. In the second issue, the Glamours attempt to lure out Venus by opening a museum wing for themselves, and the trick works, but doesn't get the result they expect. As Venus meets up with Witch Means and Ikon, the superhero mascot of Bliss Corp, and Frankenstein attempts to eavesdrop on them, to no avail, only being hypnotized by Witch Means to go back and see his techy friend and Oracle-esqe partner Erga, which he teleports to and teleports right back. Glamour Gold and Frankenstein are both called back when men in lead-lined trench coats walk into the museum. It is soon found out they're toting guns, and in the ensuing fight, Glamour Gold accidentally sets off a bomb vest one of the men was wearing. In the chaos, no one notices that Grand Glamour has gone missing. In the third issue, a hero from New Atheopolis named Perseus shows up and brings with him the deadly villain Gorgon, who he and Frankenstein handily defeat. Once she finds out Ikon has gone missing, Glamour Gold sets to the search, using clues that he left behind to head to New Atheopolis with Frankenstein and Perseus, and along with Blissy Belle they stop Witch Means' scheme and release several heroes from a cryogenic state. In the fourth issue, Frankenstein encounters a wolf that was created by the thing that is inside him, which he calls the Dark Spear. The wolf is able to enhance the powers of the spear, and vice versa, and most people can't see it. Meanwhile, Glamour Gold spends some time with her family, and plans a party for her victory, spending time with her brother and introducing him to Blissy Belle. At the party, Frankenstein and Glamour Gold question a newly thawed heroine, Apokalyptika, about why she goes around spouting "31 days". She easily explains that the final day is 31 days from now, and that the Creator will cleanse the world and "the horsemen will ride". The two take what she says with a grain of salt. Ikon reveals to Glamour Gold that Bliss Corp is illegally mutilating him and replacing his limbs with robotic ones. The next day, Glamour Gold attempts to find a way to stop Bliss Corp without taking the company down completely, and the heroes loop back to the museum footage, trying to pinpoint a face to get a clue of who could have been paying the shooters, as all they have to go on is the mysterious name "Jack L. Antern". While Erga goes through facial recognition, the two head to Glamour Corp where the doctor tells Glamour Gold that her metagene is unstable and that she could literally disintegrate at any time.
