Character sheet macro 5e

Hey all I'm new to Roll 20 and played my first game this past Sunday. It was a blast and felt good to finally get to play as a player instead of DMing but I felt like I slowed play a little struggling with the character sheet. We're playing D&D 5th edition and the character sheet has a great feature where you can click on the name of the attack or spell to perform the relevant rolls for it in the chat window. It's really handy but as the sheet takes up most of my screen I minimise it so I can see what's going on when it's not my turn and I have to bring it up, switch to the relevant tab and then find the attack I want. Basically I want to set up some macros that act as if I had clicked on the character sheet buttons of my favourite attacks and spells but I don't know where to start. I looked at the wiki but I couldn't figure out which is the relevant section. Can you guys help me out? Thanks, James
A very simple way to turn these rolls into macros is to drag the roll down to the macro bar. You need to have the macro bar enabled in the settings though.
That's getting closer to what I want thanks Kyle. How do I get them to appear in the macros menu? At the moment they seem to be just appearing in the quick-bar and I'd like to be able to switch them out sometimes.
Ok. There are two ways you can do this then: Global Macros or Character Abilities. I would highly recommend Character Abilities (simply referred to as abilities) over Global Macros if you are wanting macros specific to an individual character. You can create an ability for a character in the Attributes & Abilities tab of the character sheet. To get the code for the ability, you can click roll the button from within the character sheet and then click the up arrow in the chat window. This shows you the exact code that went in to roll. You then simply copy this code into the macro.
