We played our own version of this instrumental song as a D&D quest in Song World campaign. Song title, simply "Dragonfly" and there are no lyrics. It is jazz, with guitar, drums, organ. Solid pejoratively declared it sounded like elevator music. First the party was sent through a musical wormhole to a wretched swamp. They were bit by mosquitoes, then beset by black flies. Next they reached the edge of town and saw ever-larger dragonflies. They heard a rumor about a "Lord of the Flies", and went into a tavern where the song "Dragonfly" was playing to gather more information and incentives. They realized the only way back to the main discoteque would be to slay the Lord Of The Flies and climb into a return portal in it's tail and belly. The party hunted and located the Lord creature. It turned out to be a cross between a Dragon, a Giant Dragonfly, and a Giant Black Fly, with characteristics of all those. Solid said it was like a Black Dragon Fly from Angband. It was fun. What did you think? Comments, suggestions, journal or memories -- post here.
