Last we left off, our adventurers were all beginning to engage a large group of gnolls and hyenas along with the Goblin Elite regiment being given the task to slay any stragglers that ran out of the room. One of the hyenas was already in the process of sniffing out Viktor's location but the sudden interruption of Borgen bursting in to the room as well as Nikael throwing several kunai at a Gnoll gave Viktor the perfect opportunity to fully utilize his sorcerous heritage. Flash after flash of scorching rays and chromatic orbs forged into deadly lightning attacks leapt forth from Viktor and when the wrath of his magical onslaught ended almost none were spared. Tarkan displayed his Goliath strength when he picked up a massive chair and dropped its frame onto an unsuspecting gnoll. This unorthodox yet, brilliant maneuver allowed the rest of the group to finish off their foes with little resistance. It was then that the group heard a bone-chilling howl coming from the northern room. Aelara gracefully dived in after Viktor in order to aid him while Tarkan's ingenuity shone through once more. As Nikael distracted the pack lord with several kunai Tarkan seized the opportunity to wrap a rope around Eyeth's neck before knocking it into the very same chasm it had previously thrown Viktor. Nikael, noting that Aelara and Viktor seemed to have everything under control, decided to rummage through the locked chest sitting nearby. The party acquired some new splint mail for Tarkan and a few other valuables before they all attempted to climb down the illusory vines that covered the walls of the gorge. Not realizing that the vines were illusions, the group slipped further down into the darkness of the Sunless Citadel...
