Graves of recently deceased are found empty. Fleeting glances of terrible giants roaming village outskirts. Nazi stormtroopers have mysteriously blocked all access to a centuries old medieval castle lately crackling with electrical energies. Meanwhile, at the London headquarters of MERCY (Ministry of Emergency Rescue and Care), an increasingly familiar type of telegram arrives from Germany – pleas by the persecuted for evacuation from a country sliding into madness. This time the request comes from a former King’s College medical doctor obsessed with cheating death: Doctor Victor Frankenstein. Roles Players are members of MERCY, a UK-based emergency response and rescue organization, ostensibly providing humanitarian assistance across the world as missionaries. However, for the most dangerous missions, teams of especially daring individuals are called forth. All are volunteers. Some are called by the mission, others for a chance to see the world, some join for reasons of personal redemption, some never quite escaped the shadow of the Great War and find strange solace in continuous action. All are approved by the enigmatic head of MERCY (code named Archangel) herself. The Game This is a single noir/dieselpunk/pulp style adventure played using the [Basic Roleplaying]( <a href="https://www.chaosium.com/basic-roleplaying/" rel="nofollow">https://www.chaosium.com/basic-roleplaying/</a> ) system (with Pulp Cthulhu character creation rules, but this will not be a CoC 7e game ). Loosely, there are aspects of the Wolfenstein video games mixed with the 1931 Frankenstein movie. New players welcome. Experienced GM, but first time running the BRP rules. There’ll be some learning as we go. We’ll have a character generation session followed by a short rules familiarization encounter. Then anticipate no more than two sessions to complete the main adventure. Infiltrate a castle guarded by Nazis, learn strange secrets along the way, and escape with Victor Frankenstein. Given the deadliness of combat in BRP, stealth, deception, and cleverness will probably serve the party better than fighting through every encounter. You Looking for 3-5 players aged 21+. The game itself isn't going to be covering any "R" rated topics. I'm just an adult looking for players who are mature from a play and cooperation standpoint. Ideally, you've played something before in a modern genre, but that's not a pre-requisite. Just know that this isn't D&D with guns.
