Experienced roleplayer seeking mature, gender-diverse, heavy RP game

Thirty-something Persian Brit, lifelong fantasy fan with professional acting and improv experience (IMDB credits, UCB etc), disenchanted with the typical Roll20 group, looking for a bunch of enthusiastic roleplayers and a game where the emphasis is on collaboratively telling an unforgettable story.  I'm optimistic that this setup doesn't only exist on a handful of Twitch streams. I'm open to any system, willing to play any role, am fairly flexible with timing and based in London (BST). Hope to hear from you!

Kaveh, I am in similar shoes minus the Professional acting and improv experience. I believe Roleplaying is not about winning or losing but immersing yourself in a grand tale of adventure that you couldn't have otherwise. I hope that maybe we can one day RP together!

Link me an episode that you consider to be the gold standard of TTRPG play.
Hi I'm running a GMT 5e West Marches campaign game in Forgotten Realms, set in 1370DR – “The Savage Frontier” you're welcome to join. Dom
@Fade - You sound like my kind of player!  Looked at your LFG, seems you're available from 2am my time... @Dan - e.g. Critical Role, Maze Arcana, Shield of Tomorrow. @Dom - Thanks, but I'm looking for a regular game, not West Marches.
beginning a Starfinder Campaign if interested
Hey there. Me and a friend are looking for someone to join us, or us to join off a small group. We're based in America, but we tend to play any time and any day, aside from some occasions. We care a lot more about character development and story driven stuff than gameplay. We play a pretty diverse cast of characters, open to a lot of things. If that sounds about up your alley, please consider contacting; or if you've already found a group that supports that kind of thing, invite us if you have space if you'd like.
@ KibaTheEvilDM - Sent you a PM @Jormungandr - RP/Character development/Interparty dynamics/Story are the most important aspects for me too, though without the structure and mechanics of the game it just devolves into freeform improv.  So I espouse immersive in-character roleplay but not at the expense of gameplay.  If I find a suitable group, I'll let you know!
Not sure if this would be your thing or not  shameless promotion.
I'm not in GMT, but if you play on the weekends, especially Sundays, I'd be able to join in. I have some small-time acting experience, but beyond that I'm a writer/author both as a hobby and by trade. I'm a role player , not a roll player , and value character development, storytelling, and camaraderie above mechanics, though I have over 20 years of TTRPG experience with various systems, so mechanics don't bother me too much. I loathe minmaxing and the sacrificing of creativity and uniqueness in a character in favor of crunch and numbers-based efficiency.

@Erzig - Thanks, I checked out your listing, but after reading up on the Mistborn system it's not my cup of tea. @Bloodied Porcelain - I wish there were more players like you!  We should definitely play together.  I'll let you know if I find a group.  If not, I'm not completely averse to trying to cobble one together.  PM'd you.
Well, my friend is attempting to DM a campaign, yet we're coming up short in players. To clarify, we don't completely toss out gameplay out the window, just as Porcelain said, just value roleplay over rollplay. If you wish to join or learn more, and especially if you have any others you've accrued here, feel free to message. If not, good luck on your endeavours.
Hello there, I am a DM for a campaign I have been running for about a year and a half now. It is a multiple group in a single world campaign with an emphasis on RP, cool stories, and a community feel. We have separate discords for each group as well as a main channel discord where all 40ish of the players are in. This allows my players to not just join a group of DnD, but an active community that organizes cross-group play regularly. Also, it is set in Eberron which is basically the best DnD setting because robots.  Here is the details for the campaign. As you can see you have access to the campaign's description and can sneak a peak at every group's RP forum and can read a recap of every single session the group's have had since this started. I am currently looking for 1-2 players for a Wednesday at 8pm est game.
@Jormungandr - Interested in learning more, have PM'd you. @Daniel M. - Thanks for the invitation Daniel, but your game starts at 1am my time.
Hi chap(ette?)s Seems to me I'm in the same boat as you, Kaveh (as, indeed, are some of you) - old school player from around about the 90s, with a passion for narrative over mechanics. It seems a lot of the Roll20 games depend heavily on the module and the 'physical' setup and mechanics (distance/actions and so no), as opposed to engaging narrative over flawed characters. Mechanics should be supplementary and as invisible as possible, not 'defining'. @Kaveh @Jormungandr @Fade My question is: is there a critical mass forming for us to form a group to meet these needs? As an aside, I'm also based in GMT.
*raises hand* I'd like to be included in that list if at all possible.
