In the last episode, we returned to our adventurers as they descended from an 80 foot drop into the depths of the Sunless Citadel. What they thought might have been their last breath as their deeds, the aspirations and life flashed before their eyes. Their decent was disrupted by the slow of a feather fall, all but Viktor who sailed passed his comrades and vanished from sight with a brilliant scintillating light. One such light our group realised belonged to none other than Faelon, an eladrin wizard who had been hunting Viktor for sometime due to a crime he committed in the past. Once Faelon told his side of the tale, with an official writ to validate his claims. He agreed to continue on through the Sunless Citadel with the group in hopes of securing their company and, consequently, aid back to the surface where he might report to the Guard Captain Felosial regarding Viktor's arrest by a much higher council elsewhere. As our group pressed forth, you were met with stragglers of warband whose leader they had just slain. With no leader and no reinforcements, the group made quick work of them at the behest of Tarkan's supplication to Talos. Which seemed to be answered through Borgen's felling three at once in an unmatched tempestuous fury. The gnolls having met their untimely end, our group was guided through the halls of what they came to know as "The Grove". And as the halls winded, they soon realised something was not quite right with the walls as they writhed and wove into interlocking patterns to bar their entry further down to the tree they sought which bears the fabled magical ruby fruit...
