My apologies for asking when you were looking to meet when it was already listed. It was early in the morning for me, and pre-coffee. My other questions however remain unanswered. But let me introduce myself. Hello! My name is James. I've been DMing for ten years now over a variety of systems including D&D 3.5, 4th, 5E, Pathfinder, and Cortex Plus. I don't have a lot of experience DMing 5th edition games, mostly because I can't convince my table to make the switch from Pathfinder (a game I've been running for five years now, so understandably they're all terribly invested in their characters and their abilities). I'm looking to get more experience DMing 5th because when that game does end, I want to start a new one in 5th or maybe several. I've read Storm King's Thunder and I liked it. I'm interested in DMing for you guys if you're still looking for a DM but I have a few questions first. Namely because, my not knowing you guys at all means that I do not know what your play styles are like, or what your personalities are like, and it's been my experience that not all players / DMs are compatible. So please, allow me to ask: What is your group like? What is the general sense of humor at the (virtual) table? What's the typical attention span look like? Are they dedicated gamers or are they playing LOL or trying to write a novel while joining us for the game? What's the party's playstyle? Do you prefer socialization, exploration, or combat? Are you guys the hack and slash type? The murder hobo type? The narrative storytelling type? The complicated intrigue type? Or a little bit of everything? How many people are in your party and what are their characters like? What is the group's character dynamics? What are their backstories? What are their hooks into the plot of STK? What requirements do you have for a DM other than willingness and availability? I can see that you played a single session of STK, but where did that leave you in the story? Where are you looking to pick up from? These are all points that might need to be considered before a random stranger on the internet, like myself, would be able to properly declare interest in running a game for you. That said, I am interested, but I definitely require more information to go on than what's in the original posting, so feel to drop me a line, or better yet, post your reply so that if you decide not to go with me other DMs have those questions answered. Thanks, James
