[5e OGL] What does "token size" actually do?

I noticed this new addition about a week ago. I thought it'd be a cool shorthand way to increase or decrease a token before setting a default token... But it doesn't seem to do anything. If I change the number the token doesn't actually change size, and instead the number goes back to whatever it was previously when I change pages and come back. So I've come to ask: What does this setting actually do?
Anyone?

Your best bet for a Dev Team response is to repost your findings and questions in the sheet's main thread , where they are most accessible to the sheet's authors.
Here is Steve's explanation for the setting from the  v2.0 thread .

Further questions on this feature should be placed in the sheet's main thread , where Steve & Co will actually see them and be able to answer them.
