We
are going to use flags instead of hooks, so you can actually improve
your character with them (default hooks in ID don't give advances). It
does mean characters will probably get more powerful more quickly than
usual. There is a document called flags on the shared drive where you
will write your character's two flags (which can be changed whenever you
like) so everyone can see everyone else's. I
really like the FATE party creation system, so we'll take that from
Starblazer Adventures. It's a quick way of establishing how everyone
knows, relates and has a shared background with everyone else. You
summarise a previous adventure for your character, and pass it around,
other players may choose to add their character and what they did. Each
shared adventure can be used to give your character a Flag or a
Foible hat is relevant to that adventure. Finally,
there's a nice setting creation form in a different sci-fi game that
may be useful (Beyond: Adventures in Hazardous Space) , and we may want
to create factions in the universe for the powers that be (Uncharted
Worlds).
