I want to start a DDAL game and need advice...

So do I need to somehow schedule the AL event with wizards? If so, how do I do that? It is to my understanding that all I really need to do is have players roll up characters according to DDAL guidelines and then as a DM I need to follow the module exactly as it is written. I have a DCI # already. What else do I need to know that I might be over looking. Thanks in advance.
