Multiple Character Sheets Possible?

November 14 (7 years ago)
I'm preparing to run a classic World of Darkness game. Is it possible to use two different character sheets, in the case Werewolf and Vampire. The PCs will be werewolves, but some NPCs will likely be vampires.

No, a given campaign only has one sheet.

Some sheets have multiple modes (for example, my Dresden Files sheet includes both character and city sheet), but that's the best you can get right now, and I don't believe any of the WoD sheets do this.

They're close enough I think that I can use the same one. WoD is pretty simple I may not even need sheets for even major NPCs

my rule of thumb is PC get the sheet , Named NPC get a token and a handout. Mooks get a token. then i use a general Named NPC sheet and NPC sheet. that way i can click the skill and use the result. just turn off the name skill in chat option so you can use two sheets to run them all. then again im a 5e DM what am i talking about :D

another suggestion altho not sure it will work was to create two game and import the NPC into it using the vault... or transmogrify if paying

I would love if they added the option to allow sheet assignment to be based on each player as opposed to the game as a whole, but still GM controlled. This way if you have a player that prefers a different type of sheet, you could accommodate.

Unpopular suggestion: Go with a blank sheet/no sheet template. Add the attributes you need for vamps to make a vampire template, then duplicate that journal for each player. Make a separate one for werewolves and do the same.

Obviously, doing this requires more work on your part to customize your things from scratch (and built-in sheet features no longer work, so if you want to use macros you'll have to write your own), but it also allows you to tweak things to your exact specifications.

If you are a Pro, and somewhat handy with html/css, I woundn't see it impossible to use swap hidden area to put both sheet's code into one, and have a checkbox to change what's shown. I accuallu wonder why there haven't been made one for WoD if people play different things in the same campaign.

Are you playing CHronicles of Darkness (NWoD 2) or Old World of Darkness?  The Chronicles of Darkness sheet has the option to add ALL gamelines via a checkbox on the third (option page).  I am currently running a Beast game with Beasts, Geists, and also Vampires.

Otherwise, what I did prior to this was to use form fillable PDFs from my players and  upload them as handouts for them.  They could then reference them like a Character Sheet, just not roll from them themselves.

Old, but maybe I'll switch.
