Hey! Other GMs! I'm curious about your games...(sorta poll/sorta survey)

Hey Y'all- I've been using Roll20 since October of last year and I get the sense that a community is steadily developing and rolling along as the site gains momentum and an active user base. What I'm curious about is who "we" are as a group. So, other GMs tell me a bit about yourselves...I'm particularly interested in the following: 1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Active ongoing games only please. That idea you have about combining Flight of the Intruder with Battletech and adding zombies - great idea, but you aren't running it now. Games on "hiatus" do count, if you'd like. 2) How long have your games been running? Both how many sessions and the elapsed time of the campaign. 3) What system(s) are you using? 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Did you start out in real life and shift over to Roll20; did you find people on other sites who really wanted to run an out of print game and decided to use Roll20; did you meet up here on the LFG forums; did you post your game in the LFG section and people just found you? Etc. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? My wife got asked this as an icebreaker at a mommy group in the world's most PG-rated version of 'Would you rather?' Feel free to include any other details you'd like. My answers: 1) Two games. One weekly and one every other week. 2) The first has been almost every week since October for 11 sessions. The second around two months and is on its third session. 3) GURPS 4E and Fate Core. 4) I pitched an idea of running a mystery game to a co-worker, but couldn't find anyone else interested until Roll20. The second game was an outgrowth from talking to players in the first game. I used the LFG forum to poach people who can string two sentences together in both cases. I found existing relationships vital to filling out both games. 5) Four players for the first game. Six for the second. Plus me as GM in both cases. I'm not looking for more players currently. 6) Tail. I'd be half-man, half-dog. I'd be my own best friend. More seriously, I'm in my early thirties with a toddler and a job that takes me on the road frequently - Roll20 allowed me to get back into gaming after stopping while in college. Thanks in advance! I realized yesterday it would be possible for me to use this site without directly interacting with another GM and we all could be missing some information that someone else has that could make our games better. Feel free to chip in with your own questions or snippets of advice.

1.) Two games, one less serious campaign in the downtime and one serious campaign as the main. 2.) I've been running the real campaign since August, but with some downtime from November-January. 3.) I'm using 4th Edition, but I'm joining a Pathfinder game on tuesday. 4.) My main campaign started off as a test.I found a random group of people on reddit and ran a two session test. They really enjoyed me as their DM and wanted to continue playing, so I materialized a campaign. 5.) We ran with 5 players and Myself, but scheduling was too hard. So now we're down to 4 player's and myself. Not looking for players. 6.) Tail, if it's like a monkey's tail.
1. 1 2. 1 session plus myriad blue booking . 1m approx. 3. http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/106786/Dream-Factory%2C-Second-Edition?term=dream+fac 4. Posted here. Players hit 'apply'. 5. 3 actives. Could handle more. Need only one reliable and reasonable. Working so far. 6. We all have tails, at least according to some. Ditto 'third eye', according to others.
1. 1 at this time normally 2 2. Well I hosted a series of the same one shot for beginners for a couple of weeks. I finished a couple of campaigns that lasted 4-6 weeks. I am currently hosting the PAG. Ongoing game once a week four hours per session. 3. Mostly Pathfinder 4. LFG is the source of my games 5. Typically 4 players max in the PAG, We have over 20 active players. 6 Tail For info on the PAG-- https://app.roll20.net/join/72707/3VB53g
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Currently only one though that may change soon. We (as in my players and I) just finished our second major story arc so we have a short lull in sessions while I complete map prep and story set up for the next arc of the campaign in the coming week(s). 2) How long have your games been running? This particular campaign has been running weekly (give or take a rescheduling or two) on Roll20 since Mid-June 2012. 3) What system(s) are you using? Originally Call of Cthulhu D20, then transitioned to Chaosiums' Call of Cthulhu (D100). I am looking into potentially beginning a Deadlands Reloaded, or Shadowrun campaign sometime this year however. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Started out around my dinner table a few years back with maybe two games a year due to distance and life concerns but once we started on roll20 its been fairly consistent. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? We started out with eight players but RL has taken two of them for the foreseeable future and temporarily absorbed another member who is now looking to rejoin. No Im not looking for new players, Im fairly happy with our current group. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? This question lacks sufficient data; Is the tail prehensile? Does the third eye imbue the user with any additional benefits? Does the tail effect my Characters AC or Dex rolls?

Jay said: 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? This question lacks sufficient data; Is the tail prehensile? Does the third eye imbue the user with any additional benefits? Does the tail effect my Characters AC or Dex rolls? LOL. This sort of answer is why I'm not allowed to play "Would you rather?" anymore and have to rely on my wife for questions. Also why no one wants to play Star Wars Trivial Pursuit with me. Let's go prehensile tail versus the third eye only granting 360 degree vision as in "eyes in the back of your head" OR you could have trinocular vision for increased depth perception / spatial awareness.
A prehensile tail would assist me in keeping my kids inline and Herding Cats Players, so I would go with that.
To type AND drink coffee at the same time. Tail. Check.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 1 game based off the Death Gate Cycle. 2) How long have your games been running? Been running since August. got another year to go. 3) What system(s) are you using? DnD 3.5 with many homebrew elements 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Based off the book series 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I have 4 regular players but I wish I could keep 6-7 active.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Trying to start 1. 2) How long have your games been running? Starting in about an hour. 3) What system(s) are you using? Passages and Perils, my homebrew game, which is derived from original D&D. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I was thinking about starting a Skype game when i saw this site mentioned on Facebook. 5) How big are your games? Time will tell, but i could use few more players.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Currently just running one, although I'm playing in another (Me and the other main GM in my group will switch off campaigns to give each other the chance to play and/or take a break) 2) How long have your games been running? Currently looking to be about 2 months or so. I think we've had maybe 6 sessions? Possibly a few more or less. We try to play once a week, although life sometimes causes us to skip sessions here or there. 3) What system(s) are you using? Pathfinder. <3 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I've always played over the internet with online friend groups; I was introduced and taught to play this way and as such have been using online resources to imitate tabletop gaming from the start. A year ago my group underwent a bit of a schism and between that and technical difficulties wit the sites we used to use, we started googling around for better options. Roll20 was found by my co-GM and it looked too good not to give it a try! 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I run 4-player games. I'm not currently looking for more (in my experience more than 5 becomes too much, plus the group is all close friends who learned the game with me and thus have similar playstyles) 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Tail. Even if its not prehensile, itd still be a more interesting experience than a surplus eye, assuming the eye is JUST an eye. Obviously if its a laser eye or something, thats different.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? One right now, but may start a second game. 2) How long have your games been running? Once or twice a week for five years, give or take. Just switched from Yahoo to Roll20. The homebrew setting is over 30 years old now. 3) What system(s) are you using? AD&D First Edition, but we play a bit fast and loose with the rules. Spelljammer is also part of our game. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I started it as a Yahoo messenger game, for a disabled friend who wanted to try D&D, but isn't able to play normally. I came out of DM retirement to do that. Other yahoo friends heard of the game, and joined in, and it just kept going. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? Presently we have two active players, and a couple that play now and then. We would like to have a couple more regular players. . 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye, only if it has a beholder's disintegration ray, otherwise a prehensile tail.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Just one. I'd rather keep it to one. I'm not that experienced. 2) How long have your games been running? Two hours a week for five weeks now. All players except for one attend regularly. 3) What system(s) are you using? Pathfinder! I messed with 3.0 when it first came out in high school. When my group started a couple years ago, we started using a confused slurry of 3.0 and 3.5 before migrating to Pathfinder. Most everyone is happier now. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Everyone in my group is related to me except for one. My wife, my two cousins and my step dad play. We're all about the same age and have been messing around with RPGs together our whole lives. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I'd like to keep this particular campaign to the people I know in real life, but I'm looking to join someone else's campaign as a player. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? A tail would be bothersome. A third eye could look into other people's soul, and that would also be bothersome. People are weird.
1) I'm running one and assisting with another. 2) Once a week, for about a month. I had an old game cancelled due to work messing it up, and I now have more freedom so I just started them. 3) I custom build my own systems. One for Zelda and one for Dungeon Keeper currently. 4) I have a system I want to test out and I scoured the internet for willing partners. This has not been working well for me. 5) I'm still recruiting for Dungeon Keeper I'll get an average of two players a session. Zelda has 8 or so. A bit more than I'd like. 6) Tail. It wouldn't deform my face, and it would be cool instead of deformed.
@Wardonis, @Dr Pepper - Party foul!  C'mon guys...eye or tail?!?
Oops, sorry. Eye.
1) 1 2) How long have your games been running? About 4 hours 3) What system(s) are you using? 4e 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Friends flew out for A Perfect Circle concert, played D&D, then decided to do VTT after everyone went home. Enter Roll20. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 5 players. No. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third-eye
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Getting ready to start my first 2) How long have your games been running? This will actually be one of my first times GM'ing ever, always just been a player 3) What system(s) are you using? Pathfinder 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Just some friends that are willing to put up with me learning how to GM 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 2 players running 4 PCs and that is good enough for me until I get a little more comfortable as a GM 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Tail, extra balance, and if it is prehensile, I could do even more stuff.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Currently running only one game. I was running D&D Next playtest, and I have an Aces and Eights game on hiatus for about another month. 2) How long have your games been running? My longest on R0ll 20 is 12 sessions at 3 to 4 hours each. The campaign itself has been running for over 2 years now, just I used to run it on Maptools. 3) What system(s) are you using? Castles and Crusades, Aces and Eights plus DnD Next. I also play in a Warhammer 2E. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? My games revolve around a number of people I have been gaming on line with for nearly 6 years now. Most of whom I have manged to also meet at conventions. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I have 7 players, so no, not looking for more. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye, in the back of my head.
1.) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I am starting my second concurrent one today. 2.) How long have your games been running? My first campaign ("Tierra Muerta" as I call it) has been going since early December and my new one is just starting. 3. What system(s) are you using? Both games use Pathfinder. 4.) How did these campaigns materialize? I wasn't getting much mileage from local Pathfinder Society games and I really wanted to game with my best friend who lives two timezones ever. I decided to try running it from the computer and stumbled onto Roll20. I picked up some other out-of-town friends of mine to play. The second game, I really wanted to practice GMing some more and I wanted to run an adventure path, so I decided to set that one up with roll20 players. 5. How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 4 players in Tierra Muerta, 5 in adventure path. I might be losing one of my Tierra Muerta players, but plugging in his spot would have to be with someone I personally know since it's a personal campaign. 6. Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye, if it can be the metaphysical kind.
How many games are you running / playing on Roll20 right now? I modified this question to include playing... since I'm not currently running any games. I am in the process of building a campaign for a game to run, but right now... I'm only playing in one game. Looking at joining a second here soon. How long have your games been running? We just finished our fourteenth weekly session, so not too long... but it did take a few months to get started after the initial interest and there were breaks over the holidays. What system are you using? Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition How did the campaign materialize? One player, friend of the DM outside of the digital boundaries of the internet, managed to scrounge up enough people via googleplus for a D&D game. It was a rocky start, but things finally kicked off and got going. How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? We have a stable core of players and a few that don't always make it, but we work their characters in and out of the story as necessary. I think the most we've had online at once is seven and the DM. So no, not looking for more players. Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Neither.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 1, dndnext playtest. Ran B2 from old module. Now X1 from old module. Trying to start a deadlands or savage worlds pulp game. 2) How long have your games been running? Since August. 3) What system(s) are you using? Dndnext playtest 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I have wanted to run B2 The keep on the borderland for a while now. I started with the premise of a medieval setting post an American-ish civil war in the "wild-west". A seemingly united country divided in heart. A corrupt central government and equally rotten religious hierarchy. Heroes formally from both sides of the line fighting together to protect a borderland from an evil cult seeking to destroy the world. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I have 5 steady players. I am not looking for more.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? One Active, 3-4 in "the works" 2) How long have your games been running? 3 sessions so far on the current one 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D 4e, mostly because I find it easier to DM 4) How did these campaigns materialize? One as an alternative to the WoTC Virtual Table, one as a way to keep my table top group active as half are now out of town, and the current one a friend asked me to run one (and he has not made the last two sessions!) 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I aim for 6-8 players in order to get 4-5 that show up. Not currently looking for players, I had 8 and get a steady 4 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Only if the tail was prehensile
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I am running one as GM, playing in another. 2) How long have your games been running? Since about late November, about 7-8 (long) sessions ranging from 6-10 hours 3) What system(s) are you using? Pathfinder 4) How did these campaigns materialize? My RP group started in person and swapped to net-apps about two years ago when a couple guys moved back to Ontario to live with their folks since they had a bad financial situation here. We used Kloogewerks for most of that time, but it has never really liked me and I'm not so savvy with it's back-end stuff, so when it came to the prospect of me running a group we all checked into web-apps and roll20 was the most attractive one. We are likely only going to use it when running campaigns by me though because of the other system we run working better with the Kloogewerk tools. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? My group has 6 people, one is very flaky so no one counts on him but everyone hopes he'll show up. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye, then I would have 2 good ones :P
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I'm only in the one I am DMing. 2) How long have your games been running? January. We were supposed to start in December but we had trouble getting a date. 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D 4th Edition 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I volunteered to DM for a group in LFG and when a few people flaked out on us I asked some friends to play with us. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? Technically 4 people but I have yet to play a game where all four players managed to all get together. We have attendance issues. We may start looking for more players if attendance continues to be an issue. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? A tail. I don't want to have to get special glasses for a third eye and tails are cool.

1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 2 rpgs, and 2 test board-games. Once they fix the deck system to involve multiples of cards, those boardgames will be up and running! 2) How long have your games been running? Both how many sessions and the elapsed time of the campaign. One was going pretty well for a couple sessions, but it's on hiautus. Focusing more on our current game, in which we finally got around to doing a session last night. 3) What system(s) are you using? Mythic GM Emulator for the earlier one, and MAID for the current one, (though I supplement everything with Mythic when I'm feeling lazy because I don't actually plan much of anything beforehand.) 4) How did these campaigns materialize? All my local friends tend to be busy and unavailable, all my available friends live 5+ hours away or in japan. Roll20 fixes everything! 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I fell like I can manage up to maybe 6 players without messing up too much, and more WITH messing up. Nobody seems to notice when i do. Invite only though. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Tail might be more practical, but i'd be regretting it if I ever lost an eye. Unless it's a psychic/magic eye, then maybe the eye.
Put you eye out with the newly acquired tail. Eyeronic.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Currently working on migrating from IRC over to roll20 so right now none. 2) How long have your games been running? Current Game started in December 2012. every week for about 3hrs each session 3) What system(s) are you using? I am using a modified d20 system for BESM 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Took over running a game from someone that was new to DM'ing and created new story line in IRC. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? Currently have 6 players always open to more players 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? if there is no limits on where the eye is then a third eye might be good. Could give you a view around a corner if on your palm, or could even do the Mirror on the shoe type eye as the dirty old man... Prehensile tail would be good. but other then that would have to go with the eye.
wait-- what if you got the tail, with the eye on the end!
Non-existant proctology bills? Quite a tale, that no one wants to hear.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Running two games currently. 2) How long have your games been running? One started on January 10th and runs bi-weekly, the other runs bi-weekly as well and started on the 31st. Sessions run anywhere from three to five hours on average. 3) What system(s) are you using? Star Wars Saga Edition and d20 Modern. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Real life brought to the internet since most of us have moved apart. In the case of one campaign, I extended an invitation over the Roll20 forum (and couldn't be happier with the new gamer folded into the group). 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? Both games have five players, which is my max. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? A tail--they're not all that unnatural for humans.
Beware the hand and Eye of Vecna though.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Running 1 game 2) How long have your games been running? Total Number of Sessions: 16 Duration of Sessions: 4 hours (give or take 30 minutes) 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D 4e 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I have played D&D since 3rd edition. The group I was in for a long time went its own way and I was left with no people I know in person who wanted to play. I wondered if there was a way to play using skype conference calls and that led me to Roll20. I really love the world of Faerun in the Forgotten Realms and wanted to play in a heavily story driven campaign with other players who actually enjoy the RP side of things and not just boring combat combat combat. Well I couldn't find a game on here with a DM running a story driven campaign in faerun. So I decided it couldn't be terribly difficult to be a DM (though I've never done it I've played long enough) and put an LFG in the forums praying for committed players that show up each week and get really into the story. I call myself lucky for getting about 80% of what I was looking for. The players show up every week and if they can't, they let me know way in advance, and although most of them have kind of blown at the RP side of things I'm trying to get them to describe their attacks, at least if it's a killing blow, just to give combat more flavor. (I also run fun combats, with tricky non-system based mechanics that make combat loads more fun for boss fights etc...) I do have 2 out of 6 players that do really well at the RP side of things. But really the best part is having them get really involved with and enjoy the story that has been unraveling before them. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I have 6 players, I think 1 might have to drop out soon though. So I might be in the market for a 6th player. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? 3rd Eye if it's some minds eye metaphorical eye in which gives me awesome prophetic powers.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 1. 2) How long have your games been running? I think about.... 50 sessions? Lasting 4-5 hours each. 3) What system(s) are you using? DnD 3.5 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Was two years in the making after loosing my first PnP group, decided to make my own. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? We take in anyone who finds us. I rule over eight players, wanderers come and go. About three-four longtime players.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 1, though I play regularly (bi-weekly) in two other games. 2) How long have your games been running? Weekly since July 3) What system(s) are you using? I run D20 Modern, but I play in a Pathfinder and a Mutants and Mastermidns 3rd edition game 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Met someone here, then after a failed game he started I brought a few friends I knew. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 5-6 regulars and not that we mind randoms, we just have so many people we know that we want to play with. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Totally a 3rd eye
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Just one, although I'm about to start a second. 2) How long have your games been running? The active game has been running since June 3) What system(s) are you using? 4th Edition D&D. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I've been DMing for nearly 20 years, and almost all of it has been online in one form or another. Most of my friends are scattered, so we use a text-based chat program (much more robust and featureful than the chat Roll20 has can provide) for our RP and discussions, and roll20 for our maps. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 6 in the active, 5 in the upcoming. I am not seeking more players.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? One 2) How long have your games been running? A few months, a couple dozen or so sessions. 3) What system(s) are you using? Pathfinder 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Was looking for a new VT program and ran across this, decided to start a new campaign for here using Pathfinder. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? One player, would like to have more players but it's impossible to schedule anything for a larger group of people. We often play 4-5 sessions a week. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I am running a weekly game of DnD next. I know you said don't mention it, but I have a game of Star Frontiers in the works as well. 2) How long have your games been running? We are currently on about session 10. Short sessions are 5 hours, but they usually go at least 6, the longest one was just over 8 hours. 3) What system(s) are you using? DnD Next. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I posted my game to /r/lfg on reddit. Then posted to LFG here. The first few sessions were a mix of new players, and eventually a core kept coming back, and we stuck with that group. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I limit my games to 4-5 players. The few times I ran a session with 6 players, it got to be unruly. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Third eye. Preferably in the back of my head.

1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I have one active campaign and a campaign in stasis. 2) How long have your games been running? My main campaign has been running since November 10th, and we're about to have our 11th session. All told, we've probably played for a total of 55 hours. My secondary campaign is waiting on developer material before we get past character creation. 3) What system(s) are you using? My main campaign is an AD&D 2nd edition game run with some extensive house rules. The second campaign is being run on an in-development system started by a friend. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? The secondary campaign actually came first. We're a group of friends who happens to be spread out over a geographically inconvenient area, so we decided to try Roll20. We played in a small test campaign for the in-dev system before I was asked to run a campaign of my own. I gathered a group of players, but waiting for game material was taking a long time and I'd had a campaign waiting for players for a while, so I asked the group if they wanted to play in my 2e campaign until development resumed. Long story short, we met up on Roll20 a few weeks later and they started their adventuring careers. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? The party consists of seven players (though occasionally we have a friend bounce in), so I definitely don't need more. Herding this cabal of cats is enough for this DM. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? I feel like having a tail would make sitting inconvenient/weird, so I'm gonna have to go with the eye.

1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I have one game active now on Roll20 but working on another while I play in a play by post game and run a play by post game in another forum. 2) How long have your games been running ? The Roll20 has been running for about a month so far. My other games have been about 6 months to a year. 3) What system(s) are you using? I use Basic Fantasy Role-Playing game. Basic Fantasy rpg 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I started out using Webrpg then moved to Openrpg and moved to the Traipse (openrpg variant) before discovering Roll20. I'm testing out the site and so far I like the ease of it. I have all my players from another forum that was specialized in supporting Traipse/Openrpg but now is broadening it's support to anyone that games online. The Mayhem Gaming forum offers campaign boards for the games so that information can be posted and seen easier. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? I really don't understand what you are asking about how big the games are. Usually when I make a recruitment post, I have 5 or 6 people posting interest within an hour or two. Very rarely do I have a game that is less then 4 people. I might be when I finish up the work on my next campaign setting and such.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I'm currently DM'ing one game, and play in 1.5 others (one of them is super erratic, so I don't count it as a continuing thing) 2) How long have your games been running? The one I'm DM'ing is about a year old at this point, and moved from Maptool to Roll20 back in the days of the private beta. The other one is about 6-7 months old. 3) What system(s) are you using? 4e for two, and the erratic one is D&D Next 4) How did these campaigns materialize? Mine is me & a couple friends plus my brother. Nobody lives close to each other, so we started playing online. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? My game started as 4 players, we lost one so now it's 3+ an NPC. The one I play in is 5 players. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Tail. Definitely tail. Preferably prehensile so it could hold my coffee cup while I type ;)
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? I'm currently DM'ing one game, and I am trying to get the other players to share DM rolls so I can play a character once in a while. 2) How long have your games been running? About a week. LOL. 3) What system(s) are you using? Labyrinth Lord basic rule set. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I was researching on a tabletop game to teach my friend's kids when I read about Labyrinth Lord. Then I found out about Roll20 and I got my old gaming group back together to try it out. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? We have 4 players but due to everyone's crazy schedule we could use some more. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Who the heck would choose third eye? Tail's are rad.
Dave D. said: 1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? One 2) How long have your games been running? It's either eight or nine sessions now, the time elapsed in game is about two months. 3) What system(s) are you using? Roll a d20 and add the mods for everything. Players can't view their actual stats and stats are attributed based on character story. This is because of the many failed games that I ran on roll20 when people didn't understand how the basic stat rolls or point buy systems, so now I run it paranoia style. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I really wanted to run a superhero based game and I posted the fluff of the story about how it all happened and set LFG > 12, so I knew I'd have at least 3 players show up. To my surprise 6 showed up. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? The games run from three to six people depending on who shows up. I'd like a few more characters because it would allow me to run some encounters with a super villain with henchmen in a base of sorts instead of henchmen first, then villain alone, happened outside. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? I suppose a tail would be more useful, but if the third eye is in the back of my head, I could use that

1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Just one 2) How long have your games been running? Right around 5 sessions, since right around the new year, once a week. 3) What system(s) are you using? 1e AD&D 4) How did these campaigns materialize? It was odd, practically shot up overnight. I got a kick on wanting to play old modules that I'd never had the opportunity to play, and talked to a friend of mine, and by the next day I had five players. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? d Another player or two might be nice, but not particularly. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? I'd have a third eye. Preferably on the back of my head.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? One that's so good it might as well be three. 2) How long have your games been running? Since the beginning of the week, one session so far. 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D 3.5 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I wanted to GM, so I posted a LFG and boom - some attractive male/female gamers contacted me and we were ready to go. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? 5 people atm, four awesome guys and one awesome gal. I AM looking for another player, however, I would only accept another female player (I like to run diverse, drama free, games.) - PM if you're interested. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? Tail, sounds more attractive.
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? 1 active 1 starting up and 1 on hold 2) How long have your games been running? the active game has been going 2 weeks 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D4e, Mechwarrior home brew, zombie home brew 4) How did these campaigns materialize? i get ideas and create worlds some times people want join them 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? active game bounces between 3 and 6 as i clean out inactive players 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? can the third eye do things? then ya other wise gime a tail!
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Just 1. 2) How long have your games been running? Weekly sessions. Been about 15 or so thus far. 3) What system(s) are you using? D&D Next (5e) in the Forgotten Realms setting. 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I played a ton of AD&D (1e and 2e) in my youth, as well as Shadowrun, Mechwarrior, Torg, GURPS, and a few others. After a ten-year gap in playing, I started playing a few fantasy board games (Descent, Wrath of Ashardalon, etc.) to try and get a new group of friends into the hobby. Increasingly, I began to feel like I needed the full RPG experience again, and then I heard about the D&D Next playtest and couldn't resist being a part of the game's future. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? There are 5 players in my games, and we all meet face-to-face to play. I use Roll20 to display battle maps and handouts on the ol' big screen, and several players use laptops to connect and maneuver tokens and such. I was using MapTool previously, but Roll20, being browser based, turned out to be easier for the other players to get rolling with, even though I do miss a few of the more advanced features of MapTool. We are not currently looking for more players. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? No need for an icebreaker question. I have little patience for inconsequential small talk. :)
1) How many games are you running on Roll20 right now? Just 1. Teluria is mostly a roleplaying story game with mechanics from Basic Fantasy Role Playing Game. 2) How long have your games been running? Game has been running for almost a year. TIme elapsed is probably 6 months to a year. 3) What system(s) are you using? Basic Fantasy Role Playing 4) How did these campaigns materialize? I wanted to role play again, but didn't have any players close by, so I recruited from the BFRPG forums and started with Maptools. One of my players told me about Roll20 and we switched almost immediately because it was really easy to use, and had a lot of the features that I wanted as a GM. 5) How big are your games? Are you looking for more players? We have 7 players so not looking for more now. 6) Would you rather have a third eye or a tail? The third eye would only be useful if it saw in a different spectrum, otherwise I'd prefer a presensile tail.
